Hormone sensitive triacylglycerol lipase

Common Questions and Answers about Hormone sensitive triacylglycerol lipase

hormone

Avatar n tn Mine were elevated which causes more acid in the stomach. As my parathyroid hormone came down, I felt SO much better. I stopped the PPI's and just take carafate when I go to sleep. I do still have GERD/Acid Reflux but under control. Check your calcium serum also. Correct to check your pancreas and goldbladder. Blood test: Lipase & Amylase for pancreas. Check your stool color. Ask your doctor if you can have your stool analyzed.
Avatar n tn Yesterday afternoon, my lipase level suddenly increased to 1360 and my amylase level was 151. This morning, my fasting lipase level was 900 and amylase level was 141. At 2:00 pm today, another sample was taken with a lipase reading of 550 and amylase at 115. What are the possible triggers on these elevated lipase and amylase readings despite previous normal readings for the last 2 - 3 years (last blood test was about 1-1/2 months ago).
Avatar m tn I should also mention that about two years ago, due to my poor decision, I took a pro-hormone supplement to get stronger. I quit when I figured out how bad it was for me but I just mention that because eversince I took that I've worried if it had any internal effects on my body. Advice/Info will be greatly appreciated!!
Avatar f tn Also, perhaps the antibiotics are affecting you some way. The amylase is made in the pancreas. Do you have pain in your left side? The lipase is more sensitive or correct test. Do you have diabetes or have you been checked for that? If not you may want to ask the doctor about it.

Avatar f tn Question I found out elivated levels of lipase at 203. I have been having on and off nausea but no vomiting. I had pain in my upper right rib area and sometimes in my back. It went away. They tested me for h pylori and it was negative. Also a ultrasound of the upper abdomen showed nothing, no stones. What can this be?
Avatar m tn Had a lower torso CT scan, all negative. One of my blood tests showed up with a slightly elevated lipase level (400) but it had lowered to 273 a few days later. I even had my LDH tested, and it was normal. I had a chest CT scan which was normal. I continue to have the left side pain and now I have a slight loss of appetite. No nausea yet. I go from constipation to some diahrrea. I am still having fevers occasionally (I think...I get warm, but my temp is never over 98.3).
Avatar f tn Have had upper left pain on and off for a month. Found out my lipase is slightly elevated, had US and CT-both clear, however, lipase still slightly elevated My dad died of PC this year, so it makes me very nervous that its PC.
Avatar f tn Hi guys, have been having upper left ab pain for over a month some mid burning. My lipase has been mildly elevated, also my ca 19 (panc tumor marker) is double norm and double what it was 4 wks prior. Dr did say pancreatitis and other factors could cause this to rise. My dad died of PC so I am scared I have it. My ab US, CT w dye and EUS were all clear.
Avatar n tn Have been having upper center abdominal pain for about 6 weeks. The lipase test came back at 9. Last week it was 15 and 6 months prior to that it was 30. Glucose is fine. TSH during the same period of time has gone up from .5 to .9 (last week) this week it's up to 1.9. TSB has gone from .8 , .6, to 1.5 last week and 1.7 this week. My doc hasn't gotten back to me yet. Any ideas?
Avatar f tn It went from 66 to 170 in less than half a year. Does this mean anything? My level of lipase is too high as well. I suffer from chronic constipation. I lost 15 lbs since stopping lactose & gluten in my diet. However, my stomach area doesn't stop swelling: I often look like I am 9 months pregnant.

Avatar f tn My gall bladder was removed 25 yrs ago.I had abdominal pain 10 days ago. My Doctor think I have pancreatis. Blood test showed Lipase level was 1412 & Amylase was 273. Three days ago, I had my 2nd blood test done, Lipase down to 382 & Amylase down to 273. but both of them still within the high level range. What can bring Lipase & amylase down to normal. What kind of food I should avoid? Should I eat light for 3 more weeks?
Avatar n tn I went to the doctor the other night for chest pains and found out I had acid reflex..... When they ran the blood tests they found I had elevated Lipase ( H 299). For the past few months I have had stomach discomfort.... What could this mean? This discussion is related to Elevated lipase level.
Avatar n tn My lipase level is only 356 but am having nausea everytime I eat some back and stomace pain and headache any ideas??? This discussion is related to Elevated lipase level.
Avatar m tn Hello, For some time now I have been feeling very tired and I have lost some weight. For the past 5-6 years I have had my lipase level always a little high (about 70 for a 60 limate). I would like to point out that I am 25 years old. Lros from my last blood test I had a lipase level more than three times as high (180 for a norm of 60), which corresponds in theory to acute pancreatitis. If only I have no pain.
Avatar n tn For the past 5 years, I have had on and off again abdominal cramps and bloating. Through a series of visits to my doctor, we determined that I have elevated levels of lipase. I am no lower than 280 and as high as 480. I am 42 years old, very active, mid stress level job, do not drink or smoke. I had an ultrasound and CT scan and pancreas, liver, gallbladder - all look normal. I took everything out of my diet - gluten free, lactose free, sugar free, etc.
Avatar f tn The highest lipase has been is double and ever since its usually 10-20 pts high. Sometimes I get this pain in my back, and when bad it goes to the far right. In the last yr this has gotten worse, I have loose stools often and the pain occurs more. Ive had 5 EUS all totally normal, no change. I have seen countless drs and finally I saw one of the best pancreas drs nationwide, and he suggested it could be minimal change recurrent mild attacks.
Avatar f tn s range) I have had a ton of blood work and it all comes back fine except my lipase. My lipase have never gone over 100. No one seems to have a clue what is going on. They are now going to do a sonogram on my pancreas to get a better look at it. Any ideas or suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
1134902 tn?1296066144 anywho my question is...could this be caused by a hormone imbalance brought on by my intense workout? even tho Im only spotting, Im still cramping. My family doc is booked up until the new year, so I can't see her anytime soon.
Avatar n tn I seem to have full body edema, to the point where my whole body is sensitive to the touch. Just simple things like putting on my jeans, or when one of my children tap me on the arm to get my attention, the pain is excruciating. I wake up in the morning with severe abdominal pain (from my sternum down and from left to right), puffy eyes and hands and bouts of diahrrea.
Avatar m tn had a little too much at the bar and my friend took me to the hospital. Did blood work and told me I had high (1800) lipase and high amylase levels. I'm a 21 yr old male in college and while I socially drink, rarely do I get that inebriated. Anyways, totally freaked my mother out and she didn't want me drinking again, citing that I'll die if I even have a little. A week after the incident, I had my lipase and amylase levels check and it was slightly elevated (lipase: 330).
Avatar f tn I have slightly elevated amylase and lipase levels, and persistently low alkaline phosphatase (this has been low for a couple of years now). I have had abdominal pain for quite some time, but nothing has yet been identified. I had a CT scan about a year ago that did not reveal any issues, and now the doctor says I need another because of the amylase and lipase. Any thoughts on this?
Avatar f tn Hello, There are three causes of elevated lipase;they are gastroenteritis, pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer.Elevated lipase and enlarged liver is found only in pancreatic cancer.Pls consult a gastroenterologist and oncologist as soon as possible. Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn m having lots of pain, vomiting, nausea and diarrhea but lately my lipase and amylase levels have been low. The doctor said my pancreas is sluggish and work like it should and this is why my blood levels are normal. Can anyone tell me if exocrine pancreatic insufficiency affects lipase and amylase levels during a pancreatitis flare up? Also has anyone ever had normal blood levels with pancreatitis?
