I would never recommend the depo shot. I was on it for a year and ever since ive had bad headaches and problems with my bones aching. It ***** the calcium out of your bones and I was always small (110-115 pounds) before I started it and it made me gain weight I was never able to keep off and stayed around 140 when before I could never even make myself gain weight. It totally messed up my body and periods and I bled for 2-3 weeks everytime I had to get the next shot.

really good is the mirena. it goes in and stays there for an entire year, then u go back to the gyno and get it replaced. this happens for 5 years. after the 5th year u take it out and wait a few months to get another 5 year doses. This way, you never had to worry about skin problems, missing your pill, or taking a painful shot. it doesnt hurt wen inserted,not wen taken out.

They can't make you choose birth control if you don't want it. I didn't start using birth control until my daughter ed five months old. I just breastfed around the clock.

when you swich your birth control you can have breakthrough bleeding cause your changing id call your dr just to reassure your self but i think everything will be ok

I'm looking into a new birth control, me and my boyfriend currently use condoms but I'm just looking into alternatives. I can't go on the pill because when I was on it before I kept forgetting to take it so it was never effective. I'd like something that lasts but I don't have to worry about everyday. I'm worried about side effects such as frequent periods. I had a friend who was on some form of birth control, and for a year her periods would last 3 weeks.

As a frequent birth control changer, I have seen some pros and cons to most types. I have tried the shot, the patch, the pill and I'm currently on the arm implant. Each had pluses. If you are looking for a birth control where you will have a period every month, take the pill or patch. If you are looking for something that you don't have to worry about every day/week, there's the shot.

I have heard about the patch and the IUD and wanted to know all about them or any other really effective birth control. I don't want anything that will increase my acne, weight, or flow. I have bad acne and flow as it is.

Bleeding between your periods and spotting is common with birth control patch. Bleeding while on the patch should be discussed with your doctor. A clinical evaluation may be necessary. Keep me posted. Best luck and regards!
