Avatar f tn Hormone levels as in HCG? I'd say no, that's not possible, there is a specific type of blood test (I believe) that you can get done to tell gender, but I don't think insurance covers it, so you'd have had to pay it out of pocket, did you have any issues that would require a specific blood test, or did you request one?
1287560 tn?1272216521 Hello can anywhen give any knowledge on these hormone levels, my dr is away till thursday and they're bizarre. Firstly I DO NOT HAVE A CYCLE as my body weight is low so these were not taken on day 3 as i dont know when day 3 would fall, fsh 14, lh 11 , eostrogen 142, progesterone 43. The other dr i spoke to seemed to think that i may actually get a period this month, i am trying to put on weight ready for our 4th ivf in june. P.
Avatar n tn SHE FELT THAT IT WAS BETTER TO HAVE A HIGHER DOSE OF THE MEDICINE TO AVOID A RECURRENCE OF THE CANCER. I DECIDED FOR CONVENIENCE TO CHANGE DOCTORS. WHEN HE SAW THE NUMBERS HE SAID IT WAS WAY TOO MUCH SYNTHROID AND IT COULD CAUSE OSTEOPOROSIS. HE IMMEDIATELY CUT THE EXTRA HALF ON SUNDAY. THE NEXT BLOOD TEST SHOWED THE TSH WAS .88 WHICH WAS STILL LOW BUT MORE IN THE RANGE. WHAT DO YOU FEEL MY TSH SHOULD BE UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES. I AM 72 YEARS OLD.
Avatar f tn s test results are indicating that something other than TSH stimulation is resulting in her thyroid hormone levels. For that reason I suggest that she should see an Endocrinologist, to get an ultrasound test of her thyroid gland, to determine its condition. Dependent on the results, it might be necessary to test for the possibility of Graves' disease, by testing for TSI (thyroid stimulating immunoglobulin). Please let us know results.
Avatar f tn They should drop fairly quickly...I had a mc in december and I had two follow ups...within two weeks my levels were 'not pregnant' I never got the numbers just the 'all clear'. Like Wendy said it will be different for each person, and I think it depends on whether or not your body has passed everything that it needed to (gestational sac...placenta...). Ask for a follow up bloodwork and transvaginal ultrasound to see if there is anything still in your uterus. Good luck!
Avatar f tn HCG levels can vary so much, there really isn't a set number of what your hormone levels should be. It's your numbers do that it is important. At this stage, as long as your numbers are doubling or more every 48 or so hours, then your pregnancy is viable.
1257199 tn?1277770517 My doc said these numbers are fine, but requested I come in for a third test to get another set of numbers. I am concerned..if these numbers are good, why the need for a third test???
2062492 tn?1377038256 t going to affect the antibody count that much. It will only affect your TSH and actual thyroid hormone levels. At 2.61, your TSH right at the top of the accepted range of 0.3-3.0. What are your actual thyroid hormone levels? You should be getting tested regularly for TSH, Free T3 and Free T4... FT3 and FT4 are what will tell you whether or not your dosage is adequate. Apparently, your doctor is not testing those; if so, your treatment will be inadequate.
Avatar n tn HE SAID THAT I HAD A HORMONE IMBALANCE DUE TO STRESS........HE SAID THAT HE WAS POSITIVE OF THIS AND GAVE ME PROGESTERONE TO TAKE FOR FIVE DAYS........HE WAS RIGHT........EVERYTHING IS BACK ON TRACK AND I WAS CALM AFTER THAT.........WELL, MY DOCTOR WHO DID THE BLOOD WORK AND URINE TEST BEFORE THE OBGYN VISIT AND HORMONES, HAD HER RECEPTIONIST CALL ME AND SAY THAT MY BLOOD SUGAR WAS A LITTLE HIGH AND THAT THE DR. WAS PRESCRIBING 2 MEDICATIONS FOR ME......
Avatar f tn Those are lab ranges for FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone). FSH along with LH (Lutienizing Hormone) and ovarian hormone levels are indicators of how well the ovaries are functioning.
Avatar m tn TSH is a pituitary hormone that is supposed to accurately reflect levels of the actual thyroid hormones, but in reality TSH cannot be shown to correlate well with either Free T3 or Free T4, much less correlate with hypothyroid symptoms, which are the most important consideration. It is much more important to know the levels of the biologically active thyroid hormones, Free T3 and Free T4 (not the same as Total T3 and T4).
Avatar f tn Your doc probably wants to check and make sure your levels are going up - more hormone. The starting numbers arent as important as making sure that they are increasing at a good rate.
Avatar n tn t had a period in over 6 months. I have also had hot flashes. I had hormone levels tested last week. My follicle stimulating hormone was 88.4, Luteining hormone 35.0 and estradol was <12. From what I am reading it seems like those levels signal that I was in Premature menopause. However, when my doctor talked to me, she said all my hormone levels where normal. Is my doctor right and everything ok? Or does it look like I might be in menopause? I am thinking I may need to get a second opinion.
Avatar n tn over a period of 7 months, continually declining sex drive, ED (often), fatigue, "brain fog," malaise, hot flashes, difficulty exercising. I also seem to be losing weight/muscle mass and have very strange feeling of emptiness in testes. I am 37, very little body fat, and was otherwise pretty healthy. These are my blood test results: cortisol am 337 nmol/L (138-650) oestradiol 153 pmol/:L (<160) Testosterone (roche method): 29.9 nmol/L (10.0 - 28.
945934 tn?1289046024 IF you have Hashimoto's, then according to my endo your TSH should be suppressed to .50-1.0.....anything over that and you are hypo with symptoms. The new ranges are 0.30-3.0.......but normal doesn't mean normal for hashi patients. Most important is what your free t4 and free t3 levels are....not the tsh. The free's tell you what your active hormone levels are. TSH tells pituitary function, and does not give the whole picture.
Avatar f tn They are going up, which is good. The levels seems like good numbers. Hang in there! Hopefully you will get an ultrasound soon, next week or so to see how everything is doing.
654396 tn?1237508912 I'd say that's great your levels almost quadroopled(sp) lol They say they should double every 48hrs so I'd have to say u are fine.

1936698 tn?1333915193 I'm confused. My doctor has never told me anything about hormone levels and looking out for them or anything. My friend just had a miscarriage last night at 11 weeks, and I feel terrible for her and I just want to cry because she was so excited. Her hormone level went from 73000 to 1200. How do you tell if your hormones dropped and what is so important about them during pregnancy? I'm 31 weeks along and I am so confused about all of it.
