Prozac and Wellbutrin have worked in the past. As my depression has recurred - drugs aren't helping much. Anxiety very high, shaky hands, cold, cold, cold, tired, lethargic. Avatar f tn Symptoms result from inadequate tissue thyroid effects, which are a result of tissue thyroid hormone levels and a few other variables. It has been reported that the best measure of tissue thyroid levels is the ratio of Free T3 to Reverse T3, taken from the same blood draw. So it might be a good idea to ask to be tested for Reverse T3 and Free T3 again.
Avatar f tn It means that you probably have higher thyroid hormone levels. Ideally, when TSH is high, thyroid hormones are low and when TSH is low, thyroid hormones are high. What are your FT3 and FT4 levels? Please post them, along with reference ranges, which vary lab to lab and have to come from your own report. What, if any, symptoms do you have?
Avatar f tn Do i have high TPO levels as my lab reference range for anti TPO ab is 0-5.6. Whether my T3, T4 and TSH are normal? Does TPO levels are reasons for recurrent abortions?
Avatar n tn It took a couple year to get the dosage to the point where the endocrinologist said my thyroid levels were where they should be. I just had my family doctor take another blood sample to check the T3 and T4 because I always seem to be tired, my muscles and joints ache sometimes, and I have difficulty concentrating at work. I got the latest results today and my TSH = 0.2, T3 = 144 and T4 = 1.7. I was told those results fall in the "normal" range.
Avatar f tn Hi! I am beyond desperate.... for the past 4 years I have been on a quest to find out the reason I can't loose weight. Recently I went back on Weight Watchers & I have gained 2 lbs. I have done every weight loss program under the sun. I am a extremely active person, I work 50+ hours a week, keep a daily food intake journal so I don't exceed 1000 calories per day.
1070570 tn?1283436213 Endo told me to take all my medications as usual before my lab test. He said the level of tsh in bloodstream is an accumulation based on about a 7 day period, not how much you've taken that day. (otherewise we wouldn't have to wait 4-6 weeks before being retested). Also said lab tests MUST be done before 9AM when thryroid hormone levels are at there peak, and then the same time for future labs.
Avatar f tn Some opinions state that the Hashitoxicosis will not affect blood tests results to a significant degree, while others believe it can cause results that show a falsely high reading on lab results, resulting in an incorrect evaluation of hormone levels. I don't want an opinion on it tho, is there any "scientifical proof" that hashitoxicosis even in its mildest form affects blood tests?
1287560 tn?1272216521 Hello, just wondering if any of you lovely ladies know much about hormone levels, mine have come back but my gp is off till next week-anyway I am 41 years fsh 7.1, LH 1.3 eostrodiol 147, underneath the receptionist said it said "no action required" so I am thinking these must be normal?
Avatar f tn TSH is a pituitary hormone. FreeT3 and FreeT4 are direct measurements of thyroid hormone. Your doctor should be treating those frees. Are you taking a T4 hormone like Levo? Are you taking any T3 hormones? This website lists endos recommended by their patients. Make sure the doctor tests and treats BOTH sets of frees and will not be afraid to give you a T3 drug if needed. http://www.thyroid-info.
Avatar n tn over a period of 7 months, continually declining sex drive, ED (often), fatigue, "brain fog," malaise, hot flashes, difficulty exercising. I also seem to be losing weight/muscle mass and have very strange feeling of emptiness in testes. I am 37, very little body fat, and was otherwise pretty healthy. These are my blood test results: cortisol am 337 nmol/L (138-650) oestradiol 153 pmol/:L (<160) Testosterone (roche method): 29.9 nmol/L (10.0 - 28.
Avatar n tn 2) Aldosterone/Renin levels (regulate sodium/potassium in system and thus is good to check the sodium and postassium levels along with the a/r tests). Aldosterone is an adrenal hormone. Low aldosterone can cause dry/brittle hair, constipation and dry nails.
Avatar n tn vitamins, fats, amino acids, and minerals. Our hormone levels are generally optimal in our youthful years--our early twenties--but many begin to fall soon afterwards and continue to decline with increasing age. Hormone levels decline because our glands and the parts of our brain that control our glands deteriorate with age. This age-related hormone loss is natural, but it is not adaptive. It is destructive.
