Common Questions and Answers about Hormone imbalance libido

hormone

Avatar f tn What you are describing sounds so much like hormone imbalance. I know there is a blood test out there (hormone related) to see how close you are to menopause. I really feel for you so don't feel alone. I go through a lot of what you are describing and I know, in my case that it is my hormones.
Avatar m tn My hair has been falling out right above my forehead. I have read that this is an indication of a hormone imbalance. It is not male pattern baldness which starts at temples at and crown of head. That is caused by too much testosterone. I have a really bad deal. Usually hair calls out because of high T. I regret to inform you that hair can fall out also from a lack of T. My endo perscribed some intramuscular injections but i am afraid to take it.
Avatar m tn If it is and you are still masturbating 6 times a day, then you either have an amazing sex drive or you could have a hormone imbalance. If your body is producing too much testosterone, that could be why you are ramped up all the time. I would suggest seeing a urologist who will test your hormone levels. I don't know if there is anything "natural" to help with this or not. You could go to our Alternative Medicine Forum and talk with the folks there.
Avatar f tn Is it ok to have sex when you got out off a hospital for hormone imbalance about 8 day and they put you on birth control or do you wait
Avatar n tn If you have a hormone imbalance, can it make your birth control less effective? I haven't been able to find much info on this but I suspect I have a hormonal imbalance due to the pill so I was wondering if that could mean the pill would be less effective against pregnancy.
Avatar n tn I am starting to think I may be suffering from a hormone imbalance as my symptoms seem to go when I start my period. I also suffer from inability to sleep, mood swings cyclical depression, facial hair, hot flushes as well as cold and irregular periods, I am now having 2 periods a month, one really light and short and one a week later that is pretty severe....
Avatar n tn HE SAID THAT I HAD A HORMONE IMBALANCE DUE TO STRESS........HE SAID THAT HE WAS POSITIVE OF THIS AND GAVE ME PROGESTERONE TO TAKE FOR FIVE DAYS........HE WAS RIGHT........EVERYTHING IS BACK ON TRACK AND I WAS CALM AFTER THAT.........WELL, MY DOCTOR WHO DID THE BLOOD WORK AND URINE TEST BEFORE THE OBGYN VISIT AND HORMONES, HAD HER RECEPTIONIST CALL ME AND SAY THAT MY BLOOD SUGAR WAS A LITTLE HIGH AND THAT THE DR. WAS PRESCRIBING 2 MEDICATIONS FOR ME......
Avatar f tn Hi im 18 can my GP offer a hormone test as i feel i have a hormone balance or is this something you have to buy like a kit (i also have an under active thyroid)
1134902 tn?1296066144 anywho my question is...could this be caused by a hormone imbalance brought on by my intense workout? even tho Im only spotting, Im still cramping. My family doc is booked up until the new year, so I can't see her anytime soon.
Avatar f tn m asking is that do any of you think that these symptoms could be caused by extreme hormone imbalance? No one has ever tested my hormones before. I find it weird that they all started almost a month to the day I quit birth control. Also, my period was never regular when I was younger, I matured late and would sometimes go 6 months without getting my period. I was also anorexic during high school which didn't help. But I am no longer and eat very healthy.
Avatar f tn These include anemia, diabetes and hormonal imbalance. Some investigations which need to be done are follicle stimulating hormone levels, estradiol, thyroxine and thyrotrophin levels in the blood test reports. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar f tn Another thing I have to bring up to my doc is my inability to lose weight. It's been a year since DD was born and I've lost only ten lbs (most of it just this past week---and I haven't been doing anything different). My goal is to lose 60 (and now it is 50---woo hoo!). I'm thinking I have a hormone imbalance because my forehead broke out a little which is never does, I've been weepy which I never am, and things of that nature.
Avatar n tn First, it difinitely sounds like a hormone problem. Second, I have a hormone imbalance several years ago and traditional doctors kept testing me and telling me I didn't. It wasn't until I went to see a doctor that treated with bio-identical hormones that the hormone imbalance was found and treated. Now I'm fine. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I'm starting to think my issues are more hormonal in nature and not thyroid.. My doc told me last time that even tho my TSH was a little high (11) and my FT4 was normal 1.2 (0.7 - 1.4) that she doesn't feel my symptoms are thyroid related.
Avatar f tn The other symptoms that you mention are probably unrelated to each other unless you are overweight--a hormone imbalance with excess estrogen could cause similar problems. Hope this helps!
