hormone

Avatar f tn At least a month after having it removed. What you are looking for is your natural cycle and your natural hormone levels, not assisted by medical science.
Avatar f tn Women who have a healthy hormone balance tend to enjoy their lives the most. Hormone fluctuations can result in several problems such as perimenopausal difficulties, premenstrual syndrome, mood swings, fibroids, heart disease, breast cancer, and ovarian cysts. Usually, women don’t completely meet what their bodies need—food and exercise to reduce stress and feel better. Diet, nutrition, and workout are some of the common lifestyle changes that can help women restore hormone balance.

846905 tn?1258817444 My doctor was starting to think I wasnt ovulating, so she ordered my blood to be tested for FSH, which came back normal. Next, we are checking for progesterone. Looking around through different websites, I came across PCOS, as i read it, i have pretty well every side effect and symptom listed. I gained 40 lbs in 6 months, painful periods, very irregular, more hair then most woman on my chin and sideburns, I go to the gym, have not lost any wieght yet..
Avatar n tn I am starting to think I may be suffering from a hormone imbalance as my symptoms seem to go when I start my period. I also suffer from inability to sleep, mood swings cyclical depression, facial hair, hot flushes as well as cold and irregular periods, I am now having 2 periods a month, one really light and short and one a week later that is pretty severe....
Avatar f tn m asking is that do any of you think that these symptoms could be caused by extreme hormone imbalance? No one has ever tested my hormones before. I find it weird that they all started almost a month to the day I quit birth control. Also, my period was never regular when I was younger, I matured late and would sometimes go 6 months without getting my period. I was also anorexic during high school which didn't help. But I am no longer and eat very healthy.
Avatar f tn Is it ok to have sex when you got out off a hospital for hormone imbalance about 8 day and they put you on birth control or do you wait
Avatar f tn Hi im 18 can my GP offer a hormone test as i feel i have a hormone balance or is this something you have to buy like a kit (i also have an under active thyroid)
Avatar n tn If you have a hormone imbalance, can it make your birth control less effective? I haven't been able to find much info on this but I suspect I have a hormonal imbalance due to the pill so I was wondering if that could mean the pill would be less effective against pregnancy.
Avatar f tn cn u take medicine for this to make me a more stable person never experience random.
Avatar f tn Three months ago I had this same thing happen. I've never in my life missed a period and for weeks and weeks I kept taking an HPT with no results. At last I figured out I was having a "Phantom Pregnany" or hormone imbalance. I've been on the pill for nearly ten years, and a lot of things can cause a hormone imbalance from the water you drink to the things you eat to the pill itself, I learned.
Avatar f tn Your ovaries, adrenal glands, and fat cells produce androgen. So for women that are overweight, it is really important for these women to lose weight to reduce the androgen production and possibly reduce many of the symptoms. I am overweight by 60lbs and it just piled on in a short time. I don't eat all that bad. It is extremely difficult to lose the weight once you have gained. I tried atkins for a month and only lost 5 lbs during that time.
Avatar f tn Menopause (not in your case) or hormonal imbalance due to PCOD is another reason for this. Low estrogens are supposed to be the cause. Try a diet rich in estrogens. Hormone replacement therapy can also help a few. Worms are another cause of both anal and body itch. Pubic and body lice can be another cause. I think you should discuss these possibilities with your doctor. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining.

427265 tn?1444076436 Men can develop elevated oestrogen levels that may affect sexual function. Women may suffer erratic hormone levels that cause severe PMT-type symptoms. The fatigue that viral infections can cause may also make some people too tired to be interested in sex. There is a danger that this in itself can lead to frustration and a darker mood. b) Adrenalin The stress of modern life can lead to the production of excessive amounts of the stress hormone adrenaline.
Avatar f tn It sounds like you have been "fast forwarded" into perimenopause. Hysterectomy can caused reduced ovarian function or failure. And removal of one ovary can make it more likely and quicker to happen. Reduced or absent ovarian function is associated with a number of increased health risks as well as reduced quality of life. Although HRT is not a true "substitute" for our ovaries, it can help with many of the symptoms and mitigates some of the increased health risks.
Avatar f tn Sorry to hear what you are going through. If your doc is not highly experienced in Lyme disease, then I would consider locating a Lyme specialist for a second angle for you and for your son. Sorry that's not much of an explanation, but once you have the test results back, then the path may be clearer. Please let us know how you do -- and don't give up! Lyme can indeed be beaten, with the right doc, the right diagnosis, and the right treatment.
Avatar f tn Yes, I know for sure I am ovulating because I was charting for a while to see if I was ovulating and the charts do show a temperature rise 2 weeks before each of my periods. I am just worried that my hormones may not balance out on their own because of me not having regular periods for so long (5 years).
Avatar f tn It is probably a hormone imbalance. That was the culprit with my issue of discharge from nipples. Mine DID clear up.
Avatar f tn As I've mentioned in my previous post, I have the strong feeling that I have a hormone imbalance. For 3 years, I've been overemotional/irritable/nervous, have had light/skipped periods, persistent acne,(I'm 20 and I don't feel like this should be happening), and hot flashes. These problems have gotten progressively worse over the years. The problem is though, that I feel like I have the symptoms of both estrogen dominance and estrogen deficiency.
Avatar f tn What you are describing sounds so much like hormone imbalance. I know there is a blood test out there (hormone related) to see how close you are to menopause. I really feel for you so don't feel alone. I go through a lot of what you are describing and I know, in my case that it is my hormones.
