Avatar f tn I've had a constant headache on the top of my head for 10 weeks now. I've tried all sorts of pain drugs and nothing has helped. I've had a CT, MRI, MRA, blood tests, hormone tests, 2 spinal taps, IV drugs.... and they found nothing. 4 weeks into the headache I was in the hospital for two days. While there i saw a neurologist. He said he didnt know what was wrong. The Psycologist said when he was working under a different doctor he saw him do a trick.
Avatar n tn I had an MRI done and was diagnosed with a pituitary adenoma, if I am correct 3 mm I also had an hormone test and most of the limits were down, (some times the headach has to do with the hormone levels) Until now I had not any healh problems, I never took any medication and now this hapend to me. The endocrinologist gave me a medication and all the headach and pain disappear and I am back to what ever was doing before like going to gym. I am scheduled for an operation on 19 of August.

Avatar n tn 3 years back, my mother had an accident.. Although, she was fine after the accident, she started to have a sweare headache on one spot of her head.- top middle part of the head. She feels that area as hot and sweaty. She had all her tests done after that and everyt hing comes as normal. As she is living in India, where it gets too humid some times, when she gets out of the house, sometimes, she evfen has to put a wet towel on her head to avoid sweating and heat.
Avatar f tn Are there other symptoms present? Can you elaborate on the character of the headache? The pain could be due to a variety of causes such as primary or secondary headaches. If the MRI was normal, how about the blood tests done? What medications is she taking? Take care and hope to hear from you soon.
Avatar n tn hI, my son now 15 underwent treatment and a bone marrow transplant for Neouroblastoma at the age of four. He's been on growth hormone treatment for 3 years now but with no result. He's only 144cm tall and his endocrinologist says there's no hope because his bones have finished growing and the only suggestion is the bone stretching surgery. Can anyone suggest anything else?
Avatar f tn Could be sinus related...
Avatar f tn Lots of water. You are also in the weeks where it is safe for you to take Motrin. If that doesn't help maybe rootbeer or dark chocolate I heard helps, or even just good old fashion Coke (that's what got rid of my last headache & I am just days behind you).
Avatar f tn My headaches have kept me in bed they are just terrible. Just keep drinking plenty of fluid and tylenol!
Avatar f tn Hormone therapy is really not reccomended after batteling cancer,,,ask your Dr his opinion of a herbal called Black Kosch it is known to be good for hot flashes do NOT take it without his permission, I have no idea if it is safe for you or not.
Avatar f tn If symptoms persist after taking tylenol and resting and no other symptoms arise to indicate the exact cause, I recommend seeing your doctor to determine what is causing the pain and get the appropriate treatment. I Hope This Helps.
Avatar m tn With your description it could be a number of things. Get to a doctor and get checked out. Be sure to ask about thyroid issues and get tested. You could also have an infection or a hormone imbalance even at your age. Get to a doctor and then go from there. Be sure to drink alot of fluids if you are sweating and have heat intolerance. Get kidneys checked as well - and the doctor will ask more questions... if not... be very specific and cover all of your symptoms in detail .
Avatar n tn Hello, As the lump is associated with appearance around periods,so it can be due to hormone changes during menstruation or stress during menstruation. Other cause may be of swollen lymph nodes.Lymphadenopathy (swollen lymph nodes) is usually caused by a viral or bacterial infection . In some cases, over-the-counter (OTC) pain relievers and warm compresses may be all you need. Avatar n tn ACTH-producing tumors These tumors make a hormone called adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), which stimulates the adrenal glands to make glucocorticoids. When the body makes too much ACTH, it causes Cushing disease. In Cushing disease, fat builds up in the face, back, and chest, and the arms and legs become very thin. Another symptom of ACTH-producing tumors is weakened bones. Growth hormone-producing tumors These tumors make growth hormone.
Avatar f tn I am staring my treatment today. I am on the same treatment as you. I can't answer your other questions but SVR means Sustained Virological Response. It means the Hep-C is undetectable and never came back (i.e., relapsed). Good luck to you...
Avatar f tn Whoopie! No headache since starting 50mcg thyroid hormone middle of last week (a jump up from 25mcg). I was having daily migraine-like headaches and had 3 visual auras in one month. Is it coincidence or the higher amount of thyroid hormone? Whatever, I feel better than I have have felt in a long, long time. Joint and muscle aches are improved too! I just hope that this continues.
1219184 tn?1297080096 For the past week and a half I've been having a headache every day and it's driving me insane! This has only happened once, a little bit before thanksgiving so I just attributed it to PMS or whatever but this is happening too soon. I woke up with a headache and feeling really nauseous and it's been constant ever since. I wake up with a headache, have a couple of headaches in the day and go to bed with a headache and the whole process repeats itself.
Avatar m tn I almost lost my job, I am a hotel industry executive, high level with lots of responsabilties. Now after 4 month off the treatment I do feel much better but have constant headache, (any suggestions?). Is tylanol the right medicine ? My Dr. says yes but I read acetaminophen is damaging your liver I need to to go back on treatment but do not know when since I might have to give up my career. Avatar f tn My breast cancer treatment will be radiation treatment for a month or so, and I will have to take hormone therapy (for example, tamoxifin) for 5 years. I have hep c and was planning to treat with interferon and ribavirin, and with the new PI telaprevir or boceprevir - as soon as either one is available. Does anyone know if there will be any added issues that I should be aware of when getting the hep c treatment while on hormone therapy? Thanks.
Avatar n tn The decisions about further treatment will take into account what treatment she has had in the past, her overall health, the characteristics of the cancer. There is not one specific regimen used to treat hormone receptor negative and HER2 negative breast cancer. Treatments that would not be used are the hormone therapies that would be used to treat hormone receptive cancers or medications like Herceptin or lapatinib which target the HER2 receptor.
Avatar n tn Do not feel overwhelmed, this is good news, she has a chance for treatment, the mri is done on all of my patients before treatment is started, the best websites to go over gh include magicfoundation.org and human growth foundation Do NOT worry about a brain tumor, we want to look at the structure of the pituitary in all of our kids in order to know the reason that they do not make enough gh, she will do well with treatment so talk about it with your peds endo and get going!
Avatar f tn I am being treated for a goiter and am secreting some hormone on my own. Evidently, in this situation they give you a little boost of hormone so that the over stressed thyroid doesn't have to work so hard; hopefully, it will quit enlarging and may even shrink back down some. At least that seems to be the theory. And yes, I have changed my diet as the dr told me to cut way back or even eliminate soy from my diet.
