Avatar f tn I was eating granola with coconut and chia seeds with a tiny bit of milk (hormone free) and fresh fruits for breakfast. Then for lunch I would eat salad with a piece of baked chicken. I would eat the same for dinner too. I bought some organic free range chicken tenders, seasoned it then baked it and used that throughout the week. My salad consisted of organic Romaine lettuce, organic baby spinach, organic kale and organic cilantro. And I was just using a dressing that's low in sugar.
Avatar f tn Gluten, peanuts, artificial sweeteners, regular milk (use almond milk) (I have also found a local dairy/farm that carries fresh goats milk and cows milk, so we are giving the goats milk a try which is high in protein and tast great with no hormones or preservatives) and sugar are avoided as much as possible (fungal and blood sugar issues with these). Eat REAL food with high protein as much as possible.
Avatar f tn Has any one had success with a gluten free casine free diet? We are about to try it under the support from an integrated medical doctor and dietitian. Does any one have any good result stories or otherwise?
362249 tn?1441315018 They did a study where they took 100 cats. Gave 50 hormone free milk and the other 50 milk from cows which were given hormones. By the 3rd generation 80% of the cats who were given milk from the cows with hormones were no longer producing kittens. The 50 that were given hormone free milk were still going strong and producing kittens. We are the 3rd generation since they started giving our meat hormones and the infertility rate has gone up by 80%. It makes since ladies.
Avatar f tn ) I urge u not to do raw. I am a nutrition major who eats raw organic and local. I am dye hard local organic person but I know that that isn't smart in pregnancy when it comes to raw dairy products at all! That meant in switched out my butter, cream cheese, cheeses and milk. Find a natural food store and look for grass fed organic dairy products.
Avatar f tn I am now taking a trip on the weekends to my local dairy farm and buying raw milk, these cows from small farms are grazing on grass, alfalfa, clovers and other healthy greens and herbs that make their milk very beneficial to us. After the industry pasteurizes milk they destroy vital enzymes and deplete it of any nutritional value. Further more, the cows at your small local farm are NOT injected with hormones and antibiotics that are extremely dangerous and even cancerous to our bodies.
Avatar m tn The aim of our study was to investigate the association between consumption of total and specific dairy products (milk/cheese/yogurt) and their components (calcium/vitamin D/fats/protein), with first incident HCC (N(cases) = 191) in the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition cohort, including a nested case-control subset (N(cases) = 122) with the assessment of hepatitis B virus/hepatitis C virus infections status, liver damage and circulating insulin-like growth factor (IG
Avatar m tn The hormone output and free T levels are now regulated by the hormone replacement meds. Like a car that no longer has an adjustable gas pedal for hills, its now one speed. So anything else that can effect ANY hormone levels can mess with and increase inflammation in the thyroid. Soy messes with hormone levels, it mimics estrogen, that is the reason why some 'thyroidians' will feel their thyroid inflame , swell and hurt after consuming certain amounts of soy. Thyroid issue?
557907 tn?1215882569 ve been drinking Soy milk, and have been making more of an effort to avoid beef (to consume less calories). Instead of beef, I've been eating soy based "meat". However, I am gaining more weight than ever, and my own doctor had not heard that soy should be avoided.
Avatar f tn So the TSH is 197- no decimal point? WOW! I think the link I sent you talks about free vs. total testosterone. Hopefully someone else here has been through the hormone testing and can give you better advice. I just know what I learn in the lab and don't have personal experience with these tests. It's complicated!
2030686 tn?1351688548 Even the ones that specifically say milk free on the label have milk in them. Lactose free usually still has milk poducts in it and typically whey comes from milk. Any one else with a milk allergy on peg/riba who can help me out here? Any suggestions on what to do when I can't eat? Like I said, it's not lactose that's a problem, it's any milk products.

Avatar f tn I have been on bioidentical hormone therapy for several years: estrogel 0.06% 2 pumps once daily and prometrium 200 mg. daily. My main symptoms for seeking treatment were severe hot flashes, night sweats and insomnia. These symptoms have subsided since being on hormone replacement therapy. I do not have access to individual dosage evaluation and preparation of these hormones. I know that it is best to take the lowest dosage that gives me relief of my symptoms to decrease my risks of cancer.
2191826 tn?1343830483 I agree with dogmum you should be tested for celac disease. I have a relative who has it and has to eat gluten free and eats a lot of organic food. Go see a gastro to be tested. Hope you feel better.
Avatar n tn You can check your BMI (Body Mass Index) online by entering your height and weight. Here's a link: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/tools/bmi-calculator This website is great for keeping track of your diet, exercise, weight, measurements, you name it! You can enter your meals for each day and it shows the calories, saturated fat, etc including things like Starbucks, restaurants, specific name brands in grocery stores.
2189208 tn?1339572701 Breast milk, hands down. If u do the research of what goes into generic formula, u will puke. These cows r hooked up to milking machines, milked all day, they get sores with blood and puss all going into the milk. then its prossessed and chemically treated and it ends up in your baby bottle. I know some women cant produce milk or wahtever, i would try organic brands, at least they r more regulated.
Avatar n tn However, I was raised on a dairy farm and can tell you that every time cows were treated with any drug, their milk was dumped for days after the treatment until the vet said that the drug had cleared her system and was no longer present. Milk is tested by the milk hauler for bacteria levels and drug residues. If antibiotics are present your whole tank of milk would be unsaleable. SueYoung55, I think that the advice to "keep all things in moderation" is the best.
Avatar f tn Anyone drink decaf during tww? I did during my first IVF attempt (failed) but for this one I cut it out plus diet coke and anything sugar-free. I'm only drinking milk and water. I'm really craving the coffee but don't want to take any chances this time around!
Avatar n tn Taking a med that contains T3, you can expect an increase in the levels of total T3 and also free T3 in your blood. Since free T3 is the most active thyroid hormone, it largely regulates metabolism and other symptoms. All other things being equal, if your free T3 goes up your symptoms will respond.
1979418 tn?1432135441 I've seen these at my local natural foods stores! Thanks for the tip! I'm dairy free, all grain free, and sugar free (unless it's a super special treat). For folks like me, there are coconut and almond based frozen treats, too!
