Hormone cream estrace

Common Questions and Answers about Hormone cream estrace

hormone

Avatar n tn How were you able to get the bioidentical hormone pellets? My dr only does the cream which is a real pain. I can never get it completely rubbed in and worry about it getting on my kids.
Avatar f tn (** If you do go back to your doctor, ask for samples of either the Premrin cream or Estrace cream because I know the cream can be very expensive.) Maybe you are having a reaction to the Premrin cream?? A more complete hormone therapy may be beneficial - it should definitely help with the vaginal dryness. I can give you a lot of information on hormone options and information if you like - just let me know. send me a note or email. Sorry this has been so frustrating for you.
659709 tn?1225234468 Everyone Hi, I am so happy I was able to find this community after extensive googling and Jan. Well I am going to start with some background, and how I got here. I am 23 years old, and married for 10 months. I had never had intercourse before until the honeymoon. I thought it was going to be great, but to my surprise it was soooooooooooo painful, my husband kept saying that it was because I was too tense, but I knew the pain was not normal.
Avatar f tn Just to clarify - There are Estrace tablets (name brand and generic) that are used for systemic estrogen and there is also an Estrace vaginal cream to treat vaginal atrophy. I use the tablets. Both forms require a prescription in the U.S. I have been using the tablets since early 2013. However, after stopping the patch, I used a different form which got my estrogen level up. I then switched to the tablets which do a good job of maintaining my level.
Avatar n tn You should consult your MD to be tapered off so that your hormone levels do not become histrionic... Good luck hormone imbalances make us think we are going crazy .. You are not crazy..
Avatar f tn You need to get off the synthetic and take a good, bio-identical hormone cream, a compounding pharmacist can make this up for you once the doc prescribes it. You can also use a good, over the counter cream, I am talking about Progesterone by the way, it will help to alleviate the estrogen dominance and get those hormones back in balance.
1025806 tn?1333572690 Has anyone here been prescribed estrace oral - but to use it intravaginally? This is my first round using estrace (before I used the Vivelle patch), and I was just curious if anyone had any side effects of using this medicine this way? My dr assured me it is fine, but I'm still curious! I start estrace on Tuesday night...
Avatar f tn What I want to know is how long before the surgery should we use the estrogen (I have both vagifem and estrace cream)? I had a hysterectomy, total and done vaginally, in Oct 2009, then bladder fell 2 months after, had the cystocele repaired and then around 6 weeks later the rectum and top of vaginal vault fell. I have had a pessary in for around a year to hold it but it is getting so hard to have a BM. I want this rectocele repair to be the last surgery!
Avatar n tn Hi! I had ask my Dr. to change my hormone therapy to Estrace, mainly because it's so much cheaper than Divigel. But he refused. He said that he will only allow me to take an all natural hormone therapy because of all the years that I smoked. He says that Divigel is still dangerous for me, but it's the safest thing out there for someone who smoked as long as I did. Even though it's been almost a year since I quit, he still says no to changing my RX.
Avatar f tn I was thinking of Premarin or some other doctor-prescribed estrogen cream for the vagina. I wasn't thinking of Wild Yam cream or anything like that. You might just see if your doc thinks you would get the effectiveness of estrogen without so many mood swings if you were on a cream instead of a pill.
1276940 tn?1564515084 The weird thing is my PCP did not even check my hormone levels before she put me on the Estrace so it is very possible that I am getting too much estrogen despite me only having 1 ovary!! I took it upon myself to quit taking the Estrace 3 days ago and I have to say that today I feel better than I have this whole last week!!! Hope this may help someone else!!
Avatar f tn As far as I know, I will just be on the hormone treatment until the one tube is empty. That is the only hormone therapy I'm on. I did have a complete hysterectomy probably 20 years ago and took Premarin for several years, but no longer take it. Yes, he was a urogynecologist. I probably should give him a call. I just hate to go in if it's nothing. It only happens the morning after the application of the medicine.
982214 tn?1471454781 My question is...would taking the prometrium and estrace after the 10 week gestation period hurt my baby. I have a gut feeling that my first miscarriage had something to do with the stopping of the meds, the timing is all right. What is the longest I can safely take the prometrium suppositories (200mg-3x a day) and estrace (4mg-2x a day) to ensure this pregnancy lasts? I was going to take them to the 14 week time but scared it may hurt the baby.
Avatar f tn ve been on hormone replacement therapy every since. I was on patches, estrace pills. cenestin .625 until I went to a dr that did bioidentical hormones. She put me on the patch and I was just losing my hair but surviving then my dr left and I was sent to the only other doctor there and she put me on the Wily Protocol. Well I seemed to do good for 5 years and boom everything went wrong.
Avatar f tn I have heard of some other women who experienced light bleeding or spotting when using Estrace vaginal cream.
Avatar f tn However, you will still have endometriosis as long as you have hormone action. Talk to your doctor about this specific issue, and ask (if you will be on hormone replacement therapy) about being on estrogen in a form like estrace.

Avatar f tn I am currently on 2 mg Estrace. I am having terrible hot flashes to the point that I wake up in a puddle of sweat, then I get freezing cold. I have been researching varrious HRT' on micromedex. I think I need an added progesterone, but I have been told PREMPRO has some hard side affects. Do any of you have suggestions? I noticed someone was on Climera and another was on the Vivelle w/ Prometrium. What dose of prometrium do you take?
Avatar f tn You might also ask your doctor for some Estrace vaginal cream. But don't insert the whole tube as directed. Just use a little down there every day. It helps with the dryness. After your course of antibiotics, don't forget the acidophilus. The antibiotics kill all the friendly bacteria and we have to replace it to stay well. If you can, go a little while without pads during the day.... your privates need to breathe some.
Avatar f tn Have you tried vaginal estrogen cream (Estrace). It can really help with the burning and itching. I have also used Vagifem, which is a tiny tablet that comes with a slim applicator - no mess! When we go thru menopause those delicate areas can really take a beating and even if we take systemic estrogen those areas can still need some applied right there.
Avatar m tn Or do I just go on estriol cream/patch or estrogel cream....and then figure out if I need t add more, and how do I figure that out - how does one know if she needs progesterin/progestin or testosterone added (either the medical kind or the bio identical kind).
Avatar n tn Vaginal dryness is common in menopause. I am currently using Estrace cream to combat that particular beast. First I got a yeast infection was treated for that went back in because symptoms came back. No yeast just vaginal atrophy. Great name - yuck! The cream is helping! I would get checked for yeast as that is common as well. If it's not perhaps your Doc. can give you some advice.
Avatar f tn Hi Grace, thanks for your reponse, they have not. There was no discharge, perhaps that is why. I did have an episode of BV with the new man but was treated and am ok now. (man that stuff is AWFUL) I did get into Planned Parenthood yesterday as could not get into my doc. They told me I do have vaginal "atrophy" that could be causing the problem. Makes sense with my age. My regular OB is putting me on a vag estrogen cream called "Estrace" that may alleviate it.
