Common Questions and Answers about Hormone balance exercise

hormone

Avatar f tn Women who have a healthy hormone balance tend to enjoy their lives the most. Hormone fluctuations can result in several problems such as perimenopausal difficulties, premenstrual syndrome, mood swings, fibroids, heart disease, breast cancer, and ovarian cysts. Usually, women don’t completely meet what their bodies need—food and exercise to reduce stress and feel better. Diet, nutrition, and workout are some of the common lifestyle changes that can help women restore hormone balance.

1906433 tn?1321844691 I would like to get back into exercising more, however I'm concerned with how my cranium will handle it, because it's still healing from having a tumor removed in 08/11. I do walk, but I did more before the tumor was diagnosed. My neurosurgeon doesn't address anything that he doesn't seem to think is his field. My chiropractor says walk, walk, walk. Which is ok, but with the weather getting colder, I can't tolerate outside much.
Avatar m tn t due to the chemical reaction so much as the psychological trigger. Electrolyte balance would be determined by your diet, not anxiety, although obviously heavy exercise does affect electrolyte balance. The adrenals, on the other hand, are very much involved in stress and anxiety, and are usually dealt with in supplementation by herbal adaptogens that balance the adrenals and control cortisol. Some examples are holy basil, eleuthero, and ashwagandha.
Avatar f tn I am 4 weeks pregnant and want to know what cautions in exercise i should have. I went walking and feel very drained and dont want anything to hurt the baby. I know it us a dumb question but it has been 12 yrs since i have been pregnant. My son is now 11 and my daughter is 15.
Avatar f tn I have both pieces of equipment at home (I don't have any balance leg issues though) and find the exercise bike is far easier on the legs. But just to add, I lost my first 12 kg without any exercise due to cutting out all refined sugar in my diet. I mainly exercise to get rid of my anxiety.
Avatar m tn I agree with Gimel. however, in general, diet doesn't provide or really help thyroid hormones. The hormone is pretty much either produced by the thyroid gland, or it has to be supplmented with medication. "they" say that crruciform (cabbange, califlower, brocoli, brussel sprouts etc) are "bad" for thyroid. However you also have to balance not eating these types of foods with the other benefits those same veggies offer from a nutritional and health aspect.
Avatar f tn I was told that it was a hormone-balance problem, so I starting taking Estroven, Dandolin, and Damania herbal supplements as well as a women's multivitamin. I stopped taking my protein supplement after being told that it can deplete your calcium adsorption. I am scheduled to see my OB/GYN and Ortho doctors next month. Someone even mentioned a parasite because the metallic taste started after swimming in our pool . . . too many of "The Monsters Within" episodes. HELP!!
Avatar n tn Irony of ironies, as an exercise coach and life coach there was I feeling dreadful; anxious, stiff-limbed and putting on weight.(90kg to 100kg) I put it down to raising our two young boys over 4-5 years. With the benefit of hind-sight this had been creeping into my system for a number of years. The good news is that it was detected when being blood tested for something else and taking a slowly increasing dose, now at 100 my tsh is down from 20 to 6.9.

Avatar f tn How much exercise is good during the first trimester I'm 6 weeks and I want to make sure this is going to be a good pregnancy with a healthy baby to show for it.
Avatar f tn I wouldn't advise a bike unless it is stationary, balance is a little off haha. Have you been exercising throughout the pregnancy? I would talk to your doctor first, and see what they suggest for exercise. Things like yoga, walking, swimming, etc all are recommended typically. Low impact seems to be the most common.
Avatar f tn In 2014 at age 38 had Sudden Sensoneureal hearing loss in right ear reversed with steroids with mild deficits and tinnitus. Always had balance issues since but recently worsened a bit. Can still exercise, walk and run most days..3 months ago had a brain MRI for migraines and vertigo which unfortunately showed white matter hyper intensities in periventricular mostly subcortical. So wonder if balance issues/ vertigo are from my ear issues or the white matter (about 18 small mm lesions)??

Seizure type episodes but remain aware so no sign of epilepsy. 5 yr on I'm still having mahout trouble especially with balance and buzzing down legs it seems to come in cycles. Avatar f tn We are all told exercise is good and should be encouraged in someone with MS. Im wondering if there is anyone out there who likes to jog and if they still are able to do this with MS. I find this is getting more and more difficult as the tingling, numbness and weird neuropathic feelings in my feet and legs seem to progressively get worse when I do this. Over the past couple of years these feelings come and go and have included spinal tingling if I looked to the gound.
