428506 tn?1296557399 wonko- I am also on Mino and have recently had more breakouts, especially on my forehead! I thought it odd to get more zits on an abx usually used for acne! I also relate this type of breakout to a higher TSH for me. I am hypothyroid as well. I have a phone consult this week with my doctor and a follow up appt 2 weeks after that. I will ask at one or the other what is up with this.
Avatar f tn I am experience a severe acne breakout on my forehead which is now very oily. It is mainly across the forehead, on my eyebrows, in between my eyebrows and on my temples. My feet are sometimes very warm or tingly toes or both. I also noticed a mustache, and one hair growing in my chin. I’ve never had acne issues let alone oily skin. This all happened in the past 4 months and keeps getting worst. In May I took a morning after pill, and I also took another earlier January and last year October.
Avatar f tn Never ever had bad acne anywhere but my chin or forehead.. Now im broke out even on my back and chest... Pregnant glow my bum!
Avatar n tn s cyclic outbreaks, this could be due to hormonal changes in your body. Aside from hormonal changess during mentruation, the following have been found to make acne worse: oil-based makeup, suntan oil and hair products, stress, squeezing or picking at blemishes and hard scrubbing of the skin. It is important to clean your face everyday and avoid harsh chemicals. Over-the-counter acne medications may also help. There are plenty of people with the same situation you are in.
1356959 tn?1488975948 Hello Everyone I am a 27 year old lady South African(black),I have been suffering from acne ever since I was 14. Avatar f tn m a teen mommy to be and its writin all over my forehead with acne. Just keep in mind it will go away and you can still use face wash. Also I've heard if you get bad acne during pregnancy you should blame a baby girl for stealing your beauty!(; Good luck!
Avatar f tn It is probably hormonal. The swellings and acne you are describing are in your T-zone, a very common place for these kinds of skin conditions. If this is a chronic condition, your best bet is to see a dermatologist.
Avatar m tn Need some advice... I'm 32 years old and I've been diagnosed with papulopustular Rosacea a year ago.. Nothing really helped (antibiotics, metro cream, noritate, elides..) until I tried soolantra cream which cleared my forehead, nose and cheeks and almost all of my chin. I was taking orthotricyclen since 15 years and was told to switch to Diane 35 for better results because it seemed to be more of hormonal acne...
3605625 tn?1385017548 While I've been pregnant i've had nice clear skin, and now , literally overnight, i've woken up with little whitehead pimples all over my forehead, sides of my face, and chin. I did use a new apricot scrub i bought 3 days ago, but surely that can't be the cause can it? Or is it a hormonal thing? I just don't know how i could go to bed with clear skin, and wake up like this! Worst thing is, i can't stop picking them.
Avatar f tn A year or so ago she was getting a lot of pimples. We purchased a regular acne care cleanser and she began using it once a day. It made her skin very dry and flaky, so we switched to a "sensitive skin" acne cleanser. We assumed that the BP in most acne cleansers was just drying her sking too much. She began using the sensitive skin acne cleanser twice a day. She does NOT use a moisturizer. Her skin has begun to dry out again, particularly in the forehead and cheek areas.
Avatar n tn In the past few months, I have had at least two or three MAJOR acne outbreaks on my face. I never had much acne as a teen, but this has gotten ridiculous. When I suffer from these breakouts, I mostly get VERY itchy red bumps on my forehead, my cheeks and whiteheads on the sides of my nose. I try not to touch them other than when I am cleansing (mild facial cleanser [Kiehls' brand]), or applying moisturizer (Nivea for men).

Avatar n tn I have had the diagnosis of seb derm for about two years now and have mild to moderate acne, mainly on the forehead region. I have had problems from impetigo to oozing sores on my forehead. Dermatologist I have been seeing ( I switched to a new dermatologist thinking there would be a difference) have given me several facial washes and ointments. This has given me more relief for the seb derm that covered all my t-zone and nose to small little manageable patches.
Avatar m tn Your eating habits should not have a direct effect on acne, since acne is caused by bacteria and hormonal fluctuations affect it. Yes, some foods MAY trigger an attack in some people, but I'm yet to see this in my case. Sometimes our skin gets used to certain topical medicines. If that's the case, the doctor will change it for you or combine it with other meds.
Avatar f tn A few months ago, my face just randomly broke out everywhere, starting with my chin, and within a week was completely covered with acne. I then started using an acne kit called Clean and Clear Advantage, but that only dried out my skin and made it peel pretty badly. During use, the majority of my left cheek started sort of bubbling and swelling up a bit, thinking it was due to the dryness of my face from the acne kit, i stopped using it.
Avatar f tn Went to a dermatologist for this and all she said was that my scalp and forehead were "irritated." She didn't name the condition or anything. She said it wasn't from shampoo, etc. I have no scaling or dandruff symptoms, just BURNING, red and EXTREMELY INTENSE itchy scalp. I was given some sort of steroid (can't remember the name of it) that is a foam consistency (like moose). She seemed more concerned about my knees, which turned out to be Granuloma Annulare.
Avatar m tn I always had very clear skin even during teenage years, but all of a sudden in past year I just started breaking out on my forehead, chin, cheeks...really bad breakouts starting red, some have white heads that pop eventually...first I thought that waxing causes it and stopped, but nothing helps...no systems, nothing....I haven't had any amounts of stress, no real change in diet, I do take birthcontrol pills every couple of months, but break outs started before i started on them...

After a few weeks i had tiny red spots on my face and huge pimples. I tried proactive as well and that didnt work. After that i told him the situation over the phone and he said to continue the solodyn with epiduo. i did for another month and nothing happened. He now switced me to cephalaxin and i have been on it for about three days.
