Avatar f tn With my first I had acne so bad nothing worked not even proactive its hormonal there's really nothing that you can do. After my daughter was born it cleared right up and my huge swollen nose went away too. Best of luck and congrats!!!
Avatar f tn my face is really dry these days. i wash my face every morning and night with a moisturing face wash. but only recently i have been getting dryer skin. I have no face moisturising cream only body lotion. What do i do ??
Avatar f tn Several factors are usually considered to cause acne such as diet, stress, genetic, dirt hormonal imbalances, cosmetics, work-related and drugs. Treatment options include topical and oral antibiotics, topical retinoids, hormonal therapy, dermabrasion , phototherapy and laser resurfacing. Normally a combination of treatments is followed and if nothing proves effective then dermabrasion and laser therapy are useful. You can discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist.
Avatar f tn I was told typical acne washes with sasilic acid is not good to use while pregnant. suggestions? i wash my face with a plain white facial bar but it does NO Good!

Avatar f tn t get any acne, but I always use Clean and Clear antibacterial face wash. Nothing with salicylic acid. I use a hydrating face GEL (not a lotion or cream) and I haven't gotten any acne. It's worth a try! Good luck!
Avatar n tn I alternate between the neutrogena orange face wash and philosophy face wash. I am very prone to acne in the first and second trimester. By the third it's pretty much cleared up. It's all of those hormones.
Avatar f tn Try using St Ives face wash it works tremendously and it's inexpensive
Avatar m tn Really the only way to prevent serve acne is to just wash your face daily and pull your hair away frm your face. Don't over wash cause this can cause iritation.
Avatar n tn i was curious how to tell if a new face wash is right for your skin. the first couple of days made my skin better, but now i seem to have a couple more zits formed, and my skin seems oilier. i dont know if its because its drawing out all of the impurities, or if its not right for my sensitive skin. how long should i keep using it for also? just in case it is right, i dont want to give up too soon. thanks.
1549562 tn?1304004489 t use any kind of scrub or exfoliant and this type of acne is hormonal, simply wash with a mild face wash and use a water based moisturizer (I use Cetaphil for normal to oily skin) I don't have the same problem with my hair as it is growing like crazy and is super thick and soft, but a hot oil treatment will help with the dryness or (this is kinda gross) i have heard of women putting mayo on their hair to add oil and shine!
Avatar f tn I too am breaking out, luckily for me I am an esthetician.. I use all murad products and they work really well for me. I use an exfoliating acne treatment gel as well as a clarifying mask a couple times a week. It really works for me. If you want to try it out you can purchase the acne kit and test it out. It is a lot cheaper than purchasing these two products and that one comes with 4 products. It is a 30 day trial kit.
Avatar f tn It is probably hormonal. The swellings and acne you are describing are in your T-zone, a very common place for these kinds of skin conditions. If this is a chronic condition, your best bet is to see a dermatologist.
7172456 tn?1403092946 Its true, the further along you get it does get better. I'm twenty weeks and around the second trimester it started clearing up.
6868372 tn?1385568674 Gentle washing with something like Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser or Neutrogena products are good. Wash your hands before washing your face or back. Hormones can play a role and this will decline as you age. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn m a teen mommy to be and its writin all over my forehead with acne. Just keep in mind it will go away and you can still use face wash. Also I've heard if you get bad acne during pregnancy you should blame a baby girl for stealing your beauty!(; Good luck!
Avatar m tn Hi there, Any acne medication takes time to act and it is important to stick to particular regime for significant improvement. You should wash your face with a nonirritating, pH-balanced cleanser to decrease inflammation. Avoid scrubbing the face. Do not pop or pick at pimples. A correct nutritional balance and skin care will be helpful. Drink plenty of water every day. Take 7-8 hours of sleep daily. Have a balanced diet rich in vitamin A, zinc and rich in multivitamins.

Avatar f tn I had it terribly for a while, and instead of trying to figure out if chemical stuff was safe, I made my own face wash, and my face hasn't been clearer since before I hit my teens! I use a mix of equal portions of sugar and honey, and then about half that portion of lime juice. It's a little more messy, so I just use it in the shower, but honey is a natural moisturizer, lime is a natural astringent to tighten pores, and the sugar acts as the scrubbing agent to buff away dead skin.
Avatar m tn Mealsma is one of the commonest causes of hyperpigmentation of the face. Melasma is caused by hormonal changes, which stimulate a temporary increase in your body's production of melanin. People with darker complexions are more prone to this condition than people with lighter skin. Treatment options include treatment with vitamin C and hydrocortisone, peel with carbon dioxide snow and alexandrite and ND-Yag Q-Switched laser treatment preceded by a hydroquinone-based application.
Avatar f tn I am 16 weeks and have been having the worst acne all over my face and chest. It is becoming a problem. My face is very greasy I have to wash it 5 times a day. Even that isnt enough. I hate using the grease fighting acne face scrubs because of all the chemicals. Is there a better solution to this? Maybe a natural scrub/cream?! Also does it get any better or worse the more pregnant I get?
Avatar f tn Yes i had it with my first and now my second i just use dove sensitive soap and wash my face daily and use cocoa butter and it seems to be working...no face cleansers for cause it only makes it worst cause it drys my skin out real bad...
Avatar n tn I have got acne and my face is all red, i do not know how to get rid of them. it looks awful, please help.
Avatar m tn Hi i am a 26 yr old male. i have a moderately itchy scalp that gets oily by the end of the day & have occasional acne on the scalp. also i have significant hair loss due to it.Recently, i have noticed more frequent occurrence of acne on my face & rarely on my chest & back. i wash my hair everyday with a mild shampoo to remove the oiliness. it just doesn't seem to help. i somehow feel the itchy scalp, acne & facial acne are related.
