s how I probably got these warts. I just wanted to ask about these anal warts and how they can be associated with hiv in situation desrcibed above ( If I had it, and someone rubbed his penis on my anus, is it possible to contract HIV because I had anal warts?). I hope you understood what I wanted to ask:)...And sorry for this long post...

hello, I'm no expert here but to my understanding HIV is not passed on by kissing. If you do have warts, It could be that you have HPV. Warts can take up from weeks to months to show up. In some rare cases even years. So you could have possibly taken the pap smear in september and the HPV was still not active.

I spoke to my doctor and he asked me to check for HIV cause I read warts are also HIV related(meaning poor immune). So after 6 months from sex, I had a HIV test and came negative. I dont smoke either... then y woiuld i have such big warts? Can some one explain?

This October I had a genital wart removed by the dermatologist and he assumed that I was HIV positive because all genital warts mean HIV? Why would he think this.? Is this true... I have been reading the websites like crazy and all say that YES having genital warts can mean having HIV... I AM SO SCARED... I have been reading peoples posts about HIV and their risks and they all seem so much more risky then I have been and they all have negative results....

I have been reading online that it states that in most cases people who develop warts are due to the fact that they have hiv? Foes iy mean im hiv+?

He also said HPV attacks the immune system and I must have HIV if I have warts.... I cant eat or sleep over this.. I have had my occasional blow jobs and hand jobs here and there and I have had PROTECTED sex with a positive bottom over 2 years ago.. I didnt know he was HIV positive until it was over... He did give me oral sex without a condom and we kissed too... He was on HIV meds and has been positive for over 30 years... Other than that..

I am worried about genital warts in base of penis shaft. Becuase some studies results having genital warts increases hiv transmission upto 80%. And while have intercourse its completely covered but in between i have removed the condom to get oral sex.

They say they are rare and usually people with oral warts have HIV. Is this true? Should he be tested for HIV since he has oral warts? Do people with oral warts NOT have HIV? I have so many concerns and hope you can help me.

My question is there is rubbing of vagina in massage in the back,what are the chances of contracting hiv if vaginal fluid gets directly into contact with anal warts during rubbing.Please help here as one of the doctor in this forum said that anal warts are moist and hence they are a reason for concern for hiv.

Some people are just unlikely when it comes to genital warts, and they end up having stubborn cases which take a while to go away. You could try different treatments you've not tried before, maybe your body isn't reacting well to the usual treatment? Also your immune system is highly influencial in the reocurrance of genital warts, have you been ill, even a cold? have you been stressed etc. Take vitamins daily, stop smoking and drinking if you do and live a healthier lifestyle.

thanks teak but i want to say that some physcian told me that condoms are not 100% protecting againt hiv transmition,in addition to the fact of the doubling the possibility of hiv infection if warts are comorbid. is that valid?

Welcome back to the forum. Many STDs are associated with an increased risk of HIV if exposed: herpes (only if due to HSV-2), gonorrhea, syphilis, chancroid, chlamydia, trichomonas. However, HPV and genital warts have not been direclty linked. Some studies suggest a slight incrased risk but most do not. If there is any elevated risk, it is small.

Should i get tested again, i feel like im going crazy with fear of hiv and also having genital warts. Somedays i have to take an ativan just to function.

I am just wondering if the warts showed up now because the possibility of being exposed to HIV 9 months ago has lowered my immune system. Also, this happened in Kyrgyzstan so I do not know the statistics of genital warts or HIV. I am waiting for my doctors appointment to get tested for HIV and would just like some type of answer before I go in.

Searching through some internet pages I' ve read , that HPV/warts can increase the risk of getting HIV , but nowhere wasn't mentioned why. I am just searching this answers since I have genital warts on the shaft of my penis for cca. a year. They are exposed to vaginal fluids since the condom does not cover the entire penis.

Can you get hpv even if the person dont have any outbreaks and Can a woman have her baby vaginaly if she do have hpv that causes genital warts....and can GW and hiv/aids be detected through std testing....

Those with weakened immune systems (due to things such as HIV infection) are more likely to have oral symptoms of hpv and develop warts on the mouth. While many of those with HPV rarely contract mouth warts, it is possible. While the HIV obviously would not cause a wart on the mouth (HPV causes this), due to the effect the virus (HIV) is having on your system may very well be contributing to why you are having rare mouth warts. Hope this makes some sense.

I also dont see any visible lesions unless i scratch them . I would realy like to know what are my chances of getting HIV through these warts if some HIV + vaginal fluids come in contact with them (during protected sex). Would you please explain how can (penis) genital warts in men increase the risk of hiv ?

And because I use 7 throughout the incident I feel now I am at risk for HIV because the condom was ineffective in protecting me from warts. Am I at risk? I intend to go get tested on 2 feb for HIV which is one month. And I am really afraid it won't turn out well.
