that this afa report after 6 month he told me that it has 3 window period.one after 3 months then after 6 months then 12-14 months i became feared hearing this.....
is that true.....he said if u r facing symptomps then u should check it after 12 months....
plzzz advice....
n i didnt know which test is done in india then i asked to him he said elisa test..
why they r so backdated n u ppl r so updated n confident.....

The result was negative and my life changed from that day. The test was done around 3.75 months after the possible exposure.
My questions:
1. The nurse told me that it is 95% accurate? Does that mean I have to re-test after 6 months?
2. Are blood Rapid tests as accurate as other standard HIV tests?
3. Can it be a false negative?
4. Can I move on and have a regular physical relation with me wife?

not sure if this will help you but I tested neg at 3 months 4 months and guess what my 6 month final test was? NEGATIVE! Only did the 6 month because my Dr. is super conservative which she has every right to be. Moral of the story I highly doubt you have anything to worry about. Also if it is neg. seek the help if you can't get passed this. After all life is for you to enjoy not dwell on! Learn from this mistake and move passed it and be well. God bless and take care.

Got negative test for 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 monts after the exposure…And last year also I got my annual vacation so I had an sex with my gf back in Philippines and I inform her that i had another sex with prostitute and she had a six months negative test also…She’s working now in hotel she got her negative test when the hotel give her a medical check up before she start the work..

hi................am glad i had a negative HIV DUO test result at 3 months, which is 90 days after my last exposure............but when i went to a specialist doctor and told him abt this..........he said i still to test out again after 6 months.........this is putting me back into trauma..............i know nothing abt hiv testing and how long will it take to test positive if there is infection.............but the doctor says 6 months....wat shud i believe and wat is the reality ??
Hi, ive been with the same girl for 6 months. i tested negative at 3 months but she wont test b/c she denies she has hiv and that its stupid because no one has ever came inside her. she did have one partner where she was with for a long time that withdrew but never came inside her. we started having unprotected sex since early october after she got on birth control and i got tested late january.
1- Why does the CDC recommend retesting at 6 months after an exposure with someone who is HIV+ ? do they seroconvert later?
2-Also when somebody reads that 3+ delayed seroconversion is "very rare" or "extremely rare" that doesn`t actually mean "nill" or "nobody would" seroconvert up to 6 months, that doesn`t exactly put one`s mind to rest.
3- Is there a reputable study that proves that those who do seroconvert later do have immunity problems?

I had a risky( not so high)encounter -unprotected sex with a status not known Indian woman-in October 2005.I am 42 year old Indian working in Middle East .
In November I had a flu like symptom from where i got freaked , I was going through a lot mental deprssions, pressure . My marriage was on doledrums because of this and that also added to lot of mental stress that i had to take antidepressants and other medications .
