Common Questions and Answers about Hiv symptoms yeast

hiv

Avatar m tn The main thing is to first be certain that yeast in fact explains your current symptoms. It is possible but uncommon for yeast infections not to respond to the treatments you have had, and other things can cause similar symptoms. For example, if your main symptom is burning or itching, you might have idiopathic vulvodynia.
Avatar m tn I get yeast infections all the time but she might want to check for trich as well. Not to put you down for possibly giving it to her, men can have it and never know. If she has it you need to get treated as well (even if it doesn't show up in your test there are many false negatives for men). I have it, took months to find because it was never under the microscope and I thought I was OK because I always use protection and have only been with two men in my whole life.
Avatar f tn But the discharge is still there. I have been tested for HIV/AIDS,diabetes, and everyything under the sun. And to no avail nothing has helped. I don't no what else to do. I have been to 5 doctors and 1 specialist that say it is just "Normal Discharge". They don't see anything out of the norm. The specialist said that I could possibly have a chemical imbalance. I also had another child and while I was pregnant it was just considered normal discharge during pregnancy.
Avatar m tn Hello, It can be due to vaginal yeast infection.

Avatar n tn and the contrary, that being symptoms of HIV(thrush and yeast infections) occuring throughtout the life of the virus, because it is common? 2. How soon after exposure do symptoms of HIV, such as thrush (or benign migratory glossitis) appear? 3. How soon after exposure does an HIV related yeast infection occur? Oral Hairy Leukoplakia? 4. After having an extreme and very abnormal dry mouth off an on for some time, I've now developed patches on my tongue.
Avatar m tn Could this be a systemic yeast infection, and if so, does it indicate HIV? I was tested for HIV - negative - in December, and the only activity I have engaged in is receiving unprotected oral sex. I am freaking out. A lot of the websites say that systemic yeast infection is an indication of HIV / AIDS, but I cannot figure out how I would have contracted it with this low risk activity, and again, I was negative for sure in December.
Avatar m tn My question now is that I am still worried about HIV as I saw many articles linking HIV with male yeast infection. 1) Does HIV have a high probability of causing male yeast infection? or is male yeast infection a pre-sign of showing HIV? (Hope someone understands the meaning of my question) Thanks heaps...
Avatar f tn Your doctor will probably want to test you out to three months, which is considered conclusive by everybody. As far as your symptoms, you can rule out HIV as a cause. I'd advise you post in the STD forum to deal with those issues.
Avatar n tn I tested NEGATIVE!! I don't think I really had another yeast infection. My symptoms disappeared when I found out I was negative. I am a firm believer that the mind can convince your body of symptoms that are not really there.
Avatar m tn Vaginal and superficial yeast infections of the skin rarely are due to underlying HIV. When yeast infections occur, they are evidence of advanced HIV (i.e., AIDS) and almost always there are other signs of illness, like poor appetite, weight loss, fever, and other symptoms. In summary, recurrent genital yeast infections in otherwise healthy women do not suggest HIV. This is a common problem in many entirely healthy women.
Avatar m tn You didn't have a risk of contracting HIV. Yeast infections are not HIV specific. Anyone can get a yeast infection at anytime.
Avatar m tn Hi I am wondering if a recurring yeast infection is a sign of HIV? There are no other symptoms in basically healthy individual. If it is, does it present itself in the early stages or advanced?
Avatar n tn symptoms dont mean anything the only way to know is to test you can test now but its not conclusive until 3 months after exposure
Avatar f tn i just read somewhere online- it was an article for Woman with HIV- it just stated that the first signs of HIV in women are gynecological. like abnormal pap smears, yeast infections and then said some women experience darkening of menstrual blood or no periods at all. so of course i freaked out a little bit. i know i need to get another test just to ease my mind but i guess im just real scared. i have 2 kids, a husband and its all just so scary.
Avatar n tn Could there be a chance these are HIV symptoms.
Avatar m tn The symptoms my wife is having similar to ARS symptoms 2. Why is she having symptoms similar to mines? 3. What do Hiv rash look like and where does it usual show up. 4. Can her symptoms be anixety even though she doesn't know about my encounter 5.
Avatar f tn symptoms cant and dont diagnose hiv...ppl in this forum come with numeroussss symptoms but end up testing negative..so dont worry about your symptoms..
Avatar n tn The one thing that does keep turning up in my research as my symptoms persist and continue to evolve is HIV. I've ordered my Home Access test and figure it will be at least two weeks until I have results, and those results will only show antibodies at about the 45 days post-possible exposure stage. In the meantime, can anyone tell me if these symptoms sound like any acute HIV infection they have ever heard of? How about any other std?
Avatar m tn wot is this ..? yeast infection / hiv causing yeast infection..? i am Mr.anxietious always... i think i had a credible exposure.. i think she was a hooker.. by unintension i did inserted into her vagina though i removed it in say 5 secs.. and ejaculated outside but near to her vagina... i did had gave oral to her though not for long..30 secs..and had kissing i dont have any infection in mouth...
Avatar m tn I'm sorry but i stopped reading your post when you said that you had a negative test result at the 5 months mark. it is beyond conclusive, you do not have HIV. your tests proves that your symptoms are not due to HIV.
Avatar n tn Symptoms are not an adequate way of detecting HIV, if you have had a risk you need to test, if not relax
Avatar n tn Also, a vaginal bacterial infection is not the same as a yeast infection, which is caused by a fungus(yeast), not bacteria. I believe you said you were diagnosed with a bacterial infection.
Avatar n tn HIV CAN NOT be diagnosed from the presence or absence of ANY symptoms. If you have persistent symptoms which trouble you, please see your Dr. - HIV ( ARS- If they happen at all) symptoms will appear as a syndrome (many severe symptoms) all at one 1-3 weeks after exposure. This syndrome will last 1-2 weeks then leave all at once. Any lingering symptoms are NOT related to HIV. - Bottom line- you need to retest at 3 MONTHS for your CONCLUSIVE result.
Avatar f tn Recently i developed symptoms of a yeast infection. Later on i started having a sore throat and soreness on the side of my tongue. Next i developed abdominal pain and white discharge. I have lightheaded tendencies and also shortness of breath. I Only had unprotected sex 2 weeks ago. Could this be hiv?
Avatar m tn 95% of people will show positive for HIV at the end of 2 months, and you had protected intercourse, so I wouldn't worry at all about HIV. Your jock itch was probably a fungus - maybe yeast - brought on by the antibiotics. That's totally normal. A lot of docs do dismiss the idea of systemic yeast. I have to think that some do have it, but obviously I don't know what you have. What blood work did you have done? Any blood counts? A CBC with differential?
