Common Questions and Answers about Hiv symptoms pictures rash

Avatar n tn I mean this could be anxiety but i just want to make sure. Does anyone know if this is what HIV rash looks like? I saw pictures of KS and it looks nothing like that, but do these sound like anyting i should be worried about? I am going to get tested this week to hopefully ease my mind, but I just want to assure myself that I am not positive before i go.
Avatar n tn Hiv rash is known to onlyu come for 2 to a few days and with other symptoms. It doesn't itch. No point looking for pictures of hiv rash as you will just see photos of every other rash and think you have hiv rash. I too had a rash in the correct window period, also as you explained a kind of heat rash coming and going. Can be a number of things like allergic reaction to medication, bacteria infection of even stress/anxiety worries.
Avatar f tn 1) can ars rash come after you had cold symptoms and they went away? does ars rash come by itself? 2) what are my chances that I have HIV? are my symptoms typical of ars? 3) could my rashes be caused from birth control if i also have gotten side pain since ive started it? 4) do people have symptoms during the latent stage of HIV? 5) What percentage of people get ars symptoms?
Avatar n tn I have had no other symptoms what so ever. Do you think this could almost definatly write off HIV and Syphilis? I will get tested anyway but just want some assurance.
Avatar m tn sorry if i ask question in here... but do hiv rash comes along other symptoms... because i still have this rash in my arm...
Avatar m tn The rash on my upper body looks like pictures of the “hiv rash” I have seen online. This has me very concerned. Should I be confident in the results and could another illnes be causing these symptoms?
Avatar m tn // Please disregard the big red bump on the left side of the picture, as that is an ingrown hair I've had for ages already. I'm really hoping you could help me, since I've been in such an anxiety funk lately. Thank you.
Avatar m tn Your symptoms are not in specific to HIV ARS. ARS symptoms doesn't happen in the manner you have described. They all come at once and leave at once, very high fever is almost always an important characteristics. (Self diagnosed, 101/102 degree celsius is not high fever) You are most likely going through extreme anxiety and observing your body very closely, these things are anxiety related issues.
Avatar m tn When trying to figure out what this rash was, I stumbled onto pictures of the HIV rash, it looks very similar to what is on me, which is FREAKING ME OUT! My rash is pinkish, and barely raised off the skins surface... When I first noticed the rash 7 days ago, it looked slightly different than now, it was a bit more pink at that time, and it had like 5 or 6 dots that looked similar to very wimpy pimples with no puss...
Avatar m tn hiv is NOT transmitted through oral sex. if you are having health concerns...see your's not hiv related.
Avatar f tn You tested negative so if the test was past the 4 week window, then you do not have HIV. HIV doctors can't diagnose from symptoms so neither you nor I can either so it is time to stop trying to link your symptoms with a diagnosis of HIV. SInce you work in a clinic I hope you can get more info on HIV there, so you will accept your negative tests.
Avatar f tn Does the labcorp ICMA test detect HIV-2 in early exposure as effective as HIV-1? Should I go get a HIV-1 again AND a HIV-2 PCR test from labcorp? I'm to the point where money doesn't matter. I want my life back. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Avatar m tn Hey Doc, Ok so here's my story....I did something stupid and had sex with a commercial sex worker about 3 months ago. It was protected, but I had a slight rash around the base of the penis at the time (I believe it was jock itch) so I am leaning to believe vaginal fluids could have possibly entered my body that way. Anyway, I have not experienced any flu-like ARS symptoms such as fever or night sweats but just recently, I have gotten a maculopapular rash on my entire back.
Avatar m tn Yes but I got the exact HIV rash on my palms exactly how it looks in the pictures! Red non painful flat I took a test and am awaiting the results.
Avatar n tn and the large majority of CSWs in Singapore don't have HIV anyway. Your symptoms are not typical for HIV anyway, and an ophthalmologist has already examined you and given you a diagnosis unrelated to HIV. In any case, HIV test results always overrule symptoms and exposure history, so even if you had had a substantial exposure or typical symptoms, your negative test results prove you didn't catch HIV. Ten weeks is always sufficient time for reliable testing.
Avatar m tn If your rash had been due to HIV, your PCR taken any time after the appearance of the rash would have been positive. Finally, while symptoms of early HIV may include a rash, they are typically are accompanied by a number of other symptoms including fever, sore throat, and muscle and joint aches. You need not worry. I hope my comment help you in that direction.
Avatar m tn Secondly, you mentioned that you have had multiple partners over the last month - I am assuming these were unprottected? Symptoms - Your symptoms alone cannot be a case for diagnosis. I have view the pictures and they dont seem to look like anything too sinister. That being said, I would have prefered to see this 'blister' on the shaft of your penis - this seems more like something that can be connected to an STD. What to do now? - Doctors. You need to do two things.
Avatar f tn I know it’s definitely a risk and I plan to get checked at the appropriate checkpoints. I know symptoms aren’t a very good indicator but I just wanted to know what ARS rash looks like. 6 days after exposure I noticed these insect bite like marks on my arms - is this too soon? They came in clusters and lines of three (on both forearms, my right shoulder, and a line of 3/4 on my upper back). I then had one or two dotted maximum around elsewhere on my body (nothing on my trunk or abdomen).
Avatar n tn You have already been advised and been told that "HIV rash" or HIV symptoms in general are NOT useful indicators to diagnose infection. There are no "pictures of actual HIV rash" because it varies in everyone, if they even get symptoms at all.
Avatar n tn I have pictures of the rash which I will put links to on the bottom. The rash itself does not really have to many whiteheads, although there are a few, very very tiny whiteheads. For the most part it is pink-reddish and is non itchy and seems to be coming and going in some spots. In certain spots it has very tiny dark red spots, only about 4 or 5 of those, which you can see unless you look closely.
Avatar f tn Often different sites and opinions don't distinguish clearly between a newly infected person's rash to an hiv rash later in hiv stages. Online pictures are often unclear as well. I'd actually say they're more unclear than the written information. I understand symptoms should never be used to diagnose and that's not my intention. Can a single raised/seemingly symmetric bump very closely resembling an early acne bump suggest accute hiv infection? Can several of these suggest it?
Avatar m tn I read herpes is increasing the risk of hiv transmission. my rashes are look like folliculties. when i search in internet. all the ARS HIV rash pictures are same like my rash . now after 10 days also some of them still there . please tell me hiv test is required? now i am not in my country so i cant do this.
Avatar m tn 1) Is it possible to catch hiv from one exposure (male to female transmission) 2) I have heard that one of the most common symptoms of hiv is a rash that can develop shortly ( 2 weeks) after exposure. Several websites have shown pictures of these rashes. I have some red itchy marks on my body the last week, they are not really itchy.
Avatar f tn you have reason to think your friend has hiv????? it's highly unlikely she does...most ppl dont.
Avatar m tn i have had a rashes thorough out my body. can somebody tell me what it could be. the pictures of my rash can be seen in the following link. would highly appreciate your comments.. regards.
