Avatar n tn I tested at 12 weeks NEGATIVE! Is this conclusive? Am I finished with testing? Can I never thing about hiv again?
Avatar m tn helllo I recently got my 12 weeks negative result after unprotected sex with an hiv positive woman, how assuring is this and also is it definitely conclusive?
Avatar m tn And to reassure you on 2 accounts - the doc HHH says 6-8 weeks is conclusive AND again here in the UK i asked if i went for a test at 10 weeks and shows negative will it be the same at 12 - the GUM Clinics answer 'off the record' yes as 2 weeks difference means very little to nothing. So in my eyes your negative is as good as gold! Stay safe! P.

Avatar m tn Anyways any antibody test at 12 weeks is conclusive. If it came out negative, you don't have hiv.
Avatar n tn Not that I know of. The test I took at 12 weeks came back negative but I do not know if I waited long enough after the symptoms (a fever) began.
Avatar f tn Please Teak respond... I have tested negative at 12 weeks, but I still have symptoms like white tongue, thrush and what it appears to be a rash on the back of my legs. The rash appears as little pimples, some are whites, some are red and they sting when in contact with clothing and when showering. My whole body skin is very very dry. I have these rash on 3 separate ocassions since my exposure...
Avatar m tn at 4 weeks i had a negative PCR and neg antibody test result. at 6 weeks i had a neg hiv 1/2 antibody test result. plus all other std s negative. right now its almost 8 weeks since the episode. most people would think i am 99.99% clear basis these results. however i am worried that my anxiety / depression over everything is causing me to present symptoms,or that i am seroconverting but not showing up for some reason.

Avatar f tn I did not receive PEP. I tested HIV negative at 6 and 12 weeks. I was also negative for hepatitis c at those times. I was on a medrol dose pack for 3 days before my 6 week test. I didn't finish it because of side effects. And I had a kenalog shot the week before my 12 week test. Do those medications cause inaccurate results? I am breastfeeding my 10 month old baby and she keeps getting colds and ear infections. I'm afraid I have made her sick. Are my HIV results reliable?
Avatar n tn I guess it is. And most people would have ARS at 2-3 weeks. So if you do not have ARS and you test at 8 weeks, you are 98%+ in the clear. way to go man! lovin this post!
