I have just started hiv treatment , and am soon to start hep c treatment , T-cells are 260 ..V.L 900....if the hep c treatment doesnt clear it, is my next option a liver transplant....

The kaposi is cured but some of the lesions have left brown pigment under the skin. They do not seem to fade anymore. Are there any treatment options that could work? Thank you very much!

There is a window period were test may not pick up the virus, this is up to 13 weeks. In terms of HIV leading to Aids, this is on average without treatment is 7 to 10 years.

s just time to stop. You have not listed where you're located, but there are many excellent charities to help you navigate this, inclusive any additional related challenges, such as depression.

Can you Get HHV8 and not get HIV/AIDS?. Is it possible to skip HIV and get AIDS directly? Would HHV-8 be what caused all my symptoms (fever/neck ach/night sweats/nightmares/nausea/tiredness? re really scared, you might want to talk over some options with your doctor and even go so far as taking some Clonodine which is a blood pressure med to help you through the beginning. The first 3 days are really the worst, but for some people, not so bad. Maybe you would be one of those people? Good luck to you...

And the thing that freaks me out the most is that i have a lot of symptoms that could be related to hiv/aids. I have low wbc count. I also a high level of protein in my blood too. I feel like i am at a lost. Every doctor ive been to tells me not to worry, but how am i not suppose to when i have all these signs in my blood work pointing to hiv?

Today I saw my doctor who was quite refreshed from rest at home. He recommended two treatment options, one is injection once a week and the other is baraclude by mouth once daily. The lesions you describe are quite typical of this process and are in no way suggestive of HIV. The rashes of HIV are very different and irregular in appearance. Just for completeness sake, I will add that your condom protected intercourse and oral sex are not meaningful risks. You have nothing to worry about from this exposure. Take care.
