( they are going to do it again in two weeks. I called them they said he didn't cry there at all just barked, which he does bc he has anxiety away from me. :( but now all he is doing is running in circles trying to get at the incission and crying.

Hi My sister has just had surgery for a hiatus hernia (360 degree wrap) but is very distressed as no-one (even the hospital) seems to be able to tell her about an aftercare. i.e Diet, what she should be eating after however many days and what to expect etc. When will she be able to do normal things etc.. Can anyone help please,.....

t bad, I still had pain but thought it was from surgery as the doc said I had a lot of adhesions. At the end of two hours in surgery the doc had to call in a second surgeon, it took them four and 1/2 hours to complete the surgery. I woke up crying in pain and it continues.

This can be repaired through surgery. Recovery time varies depending on the size of the hernia, the technique used, age and presence of underlying medical condition. This was my second surgery (first... removal of ovarian cysts and uterine fibroids). My recent surgery was also to repair a small hernia and removing bowel adheshions (scar tissue). My question is what will the recovery be like. I looked up the recovery for a gallbladder surgery and recovery for hiatal hernia repair and I think I am in for a lot of pain and weight loss. the weight loss I can take. But the pain I am not looking forward to. I will be home during the day by myself. Would I be able to take care of myself and what will the recovery be like. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I'm almost 34 y/o. Have 4 kids. After the 4th pregnancy I now have an umbilical hernia that I would like to repair, but I might also need an abdominoplasty as well. Has anyone had an abdominoplasty/tummy tuck? Would like to know how the recovery part of it was afterwards. How much pain? Very nervous to do this. I'm not a fan of going under the knife. Want to know the risk involved? I've been told that abdominoplasty is one of the high risk surgeries for blood clots.

so i had the ultrasound and the cyst is not major thank god and now I just have to get surgery to take out hernia and close the hole so every thing is great and I will be just fine

Also, my lower esophagus pressure is very low, its a 5 and needs to be at least an 8 to keep food down so I am going to have the hiatal hernia removed and my esophagus tightened. What should I expect after the surgery as far as pain and the recovery time? Is it possible that the wrap will help my condition the first time?

I had a seroma after surgery for a hernia in Sept of 2008. It is now Feb of 2010 and there is still some fluid. Dr.'s just say. OH well gotta live with it. Very disappointing.
