Finally after endless wait had endoscope yesterday and there was no hernia. Thanks again for your answer way back in April. It provided me with a lot of mental peace whilst waiting for the appointment.
Anyway my question is has anyone had a surgery other than the nissen fundo to repair the hernia. I am interested in having mine fixed but do NOT want my stomach wrapped around my esophagus. I'd like for a surgeon to just go in and pull the stomach to its proper position and sew up the hole in the diaphram essentially returning everything to its natural order.
I am a cardiac surgeon at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. It depends on how bad the TR is? If TR is severe and patient is symptomatic then I think surgical referral for assessment is warranted. I'm assuming patient is not symptomatic. If it is severe and asymptomatic with dilated RV, there is increasing evidence that it should be fixed earlier before RV dysfunction commences as the results are poor once RV failure occurs. We have quite a bit of experience in TV repair.

It got worst now,can't sleep with the medication ,on oxycodone15mg& Valium for the spasm!!
Does this mean surgery failed? is hernia back (now they are referring to this as a paraesophageal hernia) The doctors never told us herina might be back so I am wondering when I see x-ray report and it shos Pre-demonstartion of hernia, does that mean there is a new issue or they are seeing repaired hernia?
is it typical that Nissen wrap would slip so soon after surgery?
I feel its some kind of hernia, cause i can feel movement and gas high in my chest. I have had this for 10 years and now for the past 6 months i have developed a heart issue. Palpitations and something called pvc,s . I am concerned that a part of intestine is lying near my heart and causing this problem. Is this even possible? I know my body very well, and i have done alot of research on this problem and i really think thats whats going on. Please help.
I had an inguinal hernia 9 years ago and it was repaired with surgery and a mesh. I have a new hernia in almost the same place. My original scar has not been visible for a long time but all of a sudden the scar has reappeared and seems more pink than normal where the new hernia is. Any cause for concern? I wouldn't say the current hernia has changed colour... Usual flesh colour out than the old scar showing up again.
I see a surgeon at the chiari institute in new york. I have gone to every local doctor but because new york did my most recent surgery no one will even consult with me. My insurance said it is out of state therefore I will be responsible for bills or back bills if they do cover part. Is this legal given the fact that I have been refused to even meet with doctors under the plan? There are no other options for me but to go out of state for help.

I was recommended to see a specialist by my doctor yesterday.
To gynocological oncologist. Planned robotic laproscopic surgery. Sent to surgical ooncologist to see if hernia repair advised at same time. He said "no". Back to internist to approve choices so far. Approved and CA125 done. Result 11.8 which I thought was good till I learned that some of the potential diagnosis do not raise CA125! Surgery a week ago today. Frozen section = borderline tumor.
i have had chronic pain in my lower right abdomen for almost 8 years. what started out as a simple inguinal hernia repair has been a nightmare. the doc put the mesh patch in for "good measure". the adhesions are massive.
from many doctors i have been diagnosed as having probably 3 nerve paths trapped in the adhesions. The inguinal, hypogastric and genital femerol nerves are all involved. After years and years of procedures I have not had any pain relief that lasted more than a day.
