Avatar f tn If anyone of you have undergone surgery in CEC, please share your experience. As I will not have insurance coverage, the surgery cost is a big worry for me. I know it varies from patient to patient, but please let me know how much it cost you, so that I can have some rough idea of how much to expect.
Avatar m tn 1) Does it cost money in canada to meet with a counsellor? (don't really want to go to the meetings) Kind of looking for a step by step program type thing to keep me clean? 2)Can you keep it anonymous and not release your name?
Avatar f tn That is insane, in Canada I had a csection, was in the hospital for 4 days and the only thing I paid for was my 14 dollar constipation meds.
572651 tn?1530999357 do indeed make such decisions, the only people in Canada to do so are physicians. In Canada, the government has absolutely no say in who gets care or how they get it. Medical decisions are left entirely up to doctors, as they should be. There are no requirements for pre-authorization whatsoever. If your family doctor says you need an MRI, you get one. In the U.S.
Avatar f tn Having hiatal hernia (Nissen) surgery in a few days. My questions are : How soon would it be safe to climb stairs? When can I resume exercising? Some say that sit ups would strengthen the abdomen. Is that true? if so when should I start that? Reading the blog, most people are complaining about not being able to eat. Is this a normal? Would it be better to do a liquid diet for awhile? If so, How long should it be?
Avatar n tn I had a few umbilicar hernia operations, the last surgery a mesh was placed in my stomic. Years later I noticed my stomic is geting larger and larger and it is very hard, I was told i need two doctors one for the hernia and the other for the diastasis abd wall. My questions are - 1 would my insurance pay? 2- Do you know of a good Doctor. - Is it a diffacult operation?
Avatar f tn Hello, I used to have extreme pain in the left lower abdomen area (groin area), which was the result of a hernia. I had surgery in July and that took all the pain away. Unfortunately, about two weeks ago, the same exact pain came back. For the past few days, Ive had extreme sharp pain in the same area. I went to the surgeon who fixed my hernia, and she proclaimed that "there is no way the pain is from the hernia".
Avatar f tn If hepatitis is contained or bleeding could be stopped after the operation, then doctors might operate the hernia. How many bottles of blood would be required in case of operation of hernia is necessary?
942162 tn?1245428214 She is a housedog of course. I am in the process of deciding how much will be involved in getting this repaired and how much it might cost and where I should get this fixed. This has been on my mind every day of every week since hearing t his. Mind you she still has no symptoms. At any rate, she needs routine care if this is not a fatal condition. If it is fixable, how fixable is a diaphragmatic hernia and how costly and where? Hoping I make some sense....
Avatar f tn I am going to suggest (again) something I mentioned previously. I recall that the cost of surgery in HK was much less than in USA/Canada. Maybe the same costs apply in Singapore? Maybe it is also worth investigating whether the colorectal surgeons in Singapore believe that the risk is much less than in HK and, if so, whether they would allow you to come to Singapore for the operation?? I am sure that the quality of medical care in Singapore is amongst "best in the world".
Avatar f tn I had my first surgery in Canada. I don't have insurance to go to him. not sure what a surgery would cost with him. I was really trying to stay in Canada if possible. The nurse said no paper work unless you are a patient so I can't go back on him for anything. I did ask if he knew of anyone up here that I should look at so I'm waiting for a phone call back. I was thinking I should ask my dr for a more up to date MRI. Last one was dec.2009. It is a bit of a wait for one.
Avatar f tn I'm meeting w/my GI doctor at the end of May to discuss the new drugs for beginning treatment and was wondering if the doctor will discuss treatment costs with me or do I need to find this kind of information out myself? If I don't have prescription coverage or co-pays will all expenses be out of pocket or will it be applied to my deductible? I don't have the greatest insurance and don't know what the new meds will cost yet. Any and all information is appreciated!
Avatar f tn I have yet to have surgery, but feel so much better that my symptoms were finally validated by someone competent. He is not familiar with the surgery as this syndrome is so rare but we are in the process of finding someone to help me. If anyone knows an ENT in NC that is capable of this surgical technique, I would be so grateful!
Avatar m tn indeed I think my doctor is neglecting my case; this is very common here in Canada where there is no option to have a private insurance program. The health care system is paid nd administered by the government, as a result doctors postpone surgeries as much as they can and avoid "expensive" tests like an endoscopy.
Avatar f tn Yes, I think a hernia can go into the scrotum. Hernia pain can also come and go. https://www.urologyhealth.
1169557 tn?1263270893 She wants to get her hernia removed but is scared because her body cant handle surgery. She has an appt in february, but I am scared that is too far away. She's had to go by ambulance to the hospital atleast 5 or 6 times since her surgery 3 years ago.I feel like I should do something but I dont know what i can do..
Avatar f tn I think that the kind of hernia surgery you are looking at it is a relatively simple surgery, as far as surgery goes. I don't think the dog will have to be put under deep anaesthesia, the procedure is something that is done close to the surface, and it is a fairly quick operation. I would expect a healthy dog to recover well. Your boy might have some activity restrictions while he is recovering, to keep him from pulling the stitches loose and undoing the procedure.
Avatar f tn After your latest news, I am starting to believe that maybe it is best for you to have the operation in Calgary - remember Dr Pho has stated that surgery in Canada is amongst the best in the world and it will take more (too much??) convincing to persuade your family that the surgery in HK is not so unsafe as they claim.
Avatar f tn Insurance usually picks up the cost of this. Double check but I doubt you'll notice an out of pocket expense if you have health insurance if you do it at the hospital.
Avatar m tn Often if the trauma is severe enough to create a cataract it can also damage the zonules of the lens that hold it in place. Thus the chance of an IOL dislocating after surgery is higher in your eye than an un-traumatized eye. Decentration (e.g. 'sunset snydrome' or 'sunrise syndrome' or lateral displacement) will cause a lot more problem with a premium IOL than a standard monofocal IOL.
Avatar f tn I was told it will cost $200 to have my son circumsized. I live in Canada, is this true?
