Several weeks ago I noticed a soft movable lump in my right groin area. I have a history of a right inguinal hernia which was repaired appx. 27 years ago. My physician thought it not to be a recurring hernia but rather a enlarged lymph node and placed me on antibiotics and ordered a Ultrasound of the right groin. The ultrasound suggested it to be a complex cyst.
ve had a hydrocele surgery at the age of six, left side inguinal hernia surgery at the age of 10, and a right side inguinal hernia surgery at the age of 24. My right testicle have been attached closer to my body since my hydrocele surgery and I can clearly remember how uncomfortable it felt to have such an abnormal position of your testicle. After 20 years, I still feel some discomforting pains (on my right testicle) when exercising.
When he was 6 years old he did orchiopexy surgery then 2017 pediatric surgery did laparoscopic surgery and found a right inguinal hernia . However, this hernia was never detected in ultrasounds, MRI's or CT's scans. After his surgery the pain got worse. Since 2017 he is having this pain on and off. Now, 2021 the pain is extreme and frequent it's daily at a level 9. He describes the pain likes pins and needles.
He is having the pain in bilateral - groining area- femoral area as well.
Bottom line I went into get gallbladder removed now I need OPEN Hernia surgery to repair inguinal hernia. (My internist agrees the gas probably pushed the hernia out. Painful bulge,burns sometimes, but seems to go back in when I sleep and pops out next day.) Can gas cause this and if my surgeon read prior scans (he didnt) what could have been done differently. I am sure I am not the first patient to have suffered from gas-induced hernia.
I have been experiencing pain on my left side for over a month now. Mostly in the abdominal area but sometimes in my back as well. I went to the doctor and the said it could be my kidneys because I don't drink enough water. Well I've been drinking 80oz. of water a day. Someone advised me that it may be a hernia. Hi, I was sent to get the ultrasound done because I had little bit of pain in my groin area. My doctor is away on vacation so I can't see him for a while.I'm anxious to hear what my results mean. Can someone tell me if this is something serious? Here are the results: INGUINAL ULTRASOUND a hernia measuring 2.6cm x 1.2cm in diameter is present in the left inguinal region. The hernia contains omental fat. The hernia does not extend into the left scrotal sac. No other abnormality is noted.

I'm 24,my left testicle seems to hang loosely (much lower than the right side) and feels as if there is no muscular attachment. When I tense the muscles in that area, the right testicle rises, but the left side does not respond. It has been this way for almost 5 years. I've never had an injury or surgery in that area.
Well, I went in a little over a month ago to get a pain I had been having in my lower left abdomen with groin pain after running/exercising checked out. The doctor did a hernia check on both sides, to be safe, and found one on the right and not on the left. He said to come in after a month if the pain didnt go away on the left. Well its been about that time and the pain has become more of a problem. It became worse after playing a couple long games of basketball about 2 weeks ago.
10 years ago I had inguenal hernia surgery. For the past 7 years i have been having tightness and pain in that area. I have also been experiensing pain in my periformis and SI joint. I do have issues with internal scar tissues froma mastectomy and i know how damaging it can be fro surounding tissue. Can my problem with my periformus and SI be from internal scar tissue from my hernia surgery!!!! Please,if anyone has any information on this i would love to hear from you.

i have intense pain in my groin area left lower quadrant and my family doctor examined me and said i had a illiloingel hernia and it started to get worse 2 weeks later so i went back to my family doctor and he checked me again and said it looks like you have a illiongel hernia again and he sent to the surgeon when i went there he checked me quick and said i see a bulge but im going to send you for catscan so i went for the catscan without contrast took 5 minutes and it said i didnt have a herni
I had the sonogram done and the results came back showing no hernia but a reactive lymph node.Now the bulge in my groin area has grown and when I cough or bare down there is a protrusion about the size of a ping pong ball.I have an aching pain in the right pelvic area,in the right inner upper thigh and pain in my my lower abdomen right above the bulge in my groin.I experience pain when I sit,bend over,push to urinate,push down to have a bowel movement and when I stand or walk too long.
I've heard sometimes the hernia repair fails or causes groin pain so I'm not rushing to surgery.
A few days ago i was getting out of a chair and as I stood up, I felt something kind of bulge out of my right upper groin area. I've had this happen a few times in the last 6 months, but it has always felt like it popped right back in a few seconds later, but this time it stayed out. It didn't really hurt when it happened, it just felt like an uncomfortable pressure in my groin.
