I am a 59-year-old female who had gastric sleeve surgery almost 3 years ago. I occasionally have severe stomach pain (that started a few months ago) that feels like a very strong cramp about an inch above and two inches to the right of my belly button, where I do have a previous incision. This usually happens while bending over and straining my muscles. I have had a CT scan and an ultrasound, and they cannot see a hernia.
If the pet is already spayed or neutered, repair of the hernia will require another surgery. Or, if a female has a recessed or immature vaginal area it is best to wait until the vaginal area matures before spaying to help avoid urinary and vaginal infection problems. This problem cannot be assessed if the pet is already spayed early.
Hi. I am a 49 y/o female. Several weeks ago I noticed a soft movable lump in my right groin area. I have a history of a right inguinal hernia which was repaired appx. 27 years ago. My physician thought it not to be a recurring hernia but rather a enlarged lymph node and placed me on antibiotics and ordered a Ultrasound of the right groin. The ultrasound suggested it to be a complex cyst.
I am very afraid and sadden by his condition, perineal hernia. He had surgery a couple weeks before X-mas a year ago, thankful it has only been one. But the vet never told me before or after costly surgery that this would be life long. I excepted the challenge because the love I have for my animal. I have tried everything from peas and carrots in his food, fiber, laxatives, olive oil, psyllium seed, etc.
I am a 25 year old female with a recent occurence of nausea, vomiting, pressure in stomach, premature fullness at meals, tenderness in urq upon pressure.I have lost a total of 15+ pounds so far. I for 4-6 weeks I was vomiting at least one time a week and now its every other week or so.
Also, today my mom was walking him and for the first time ever, she couldnt control him he made her fall, got out of his leash and ran across the road to a small female dog. The owner quickly picked up the dog and said she's in heat. My dog would not leave the area, and I had to come with my car to get him in.
He has NEVER had a behavioural issue with other dogs before. I'm starting to wonder if the medication is making him worse or just the fact he's getting older.
I had hernia surgery 7 1/2 wks ago cannot believe the pain i have had. It was a spagelian hernia and I am a female. After surgery my incision & other private parts swelled up the size of a cantelope and turned black & blue , so pain full couldn't walk. bruising and swollen from upper thighs to belly button and around both sides. Said it's a hematoma. Used mesh but that's all I really know.
I am a female senior. Is it possible that I could have a hernia under my right ribs (just below my breast)?
At times (though seldom), I experience a horrible pain while "something" is popping out under my right ribs.
As long as I lie down quietly, I can feel how the "something" is slowly going back to the original (normal)
position. I have noticed that this mostly happens when I sit in bed, trying to bend forward. Thx for your help.
Any hernia above this ligament is an inguinal hernia and the ones below are referred to as femoral hernias. If the hernia is reducible and if there is no inflammation or strangulation of the bowel, surgery is usually elective. If the above symptoms are there, then an emergency surgery may be mandatory. If at the ER they have ruled out complications due to the hernia, the pain could be due to other causes like renal colic or pelvic inflammatory diseases.

my hernia surgery. I went in for minor surgery on one hernia; ended up a three-hour procedure involving two more very large hernias; the surgeon told me that there was a section of bowel lying outside the ab wall; apparently this had been going on for some time. Pre-existing conditions: a replaced mechanical aortic heart valve, have had three other bowel obstruction surgeries, among numerous other minor things. Have been treated for depression in the past.........I am a 72-year old female.

U want to elevate the head of the bed...not just ur pillows....usually 4 to 6 inches....this will help with reflux.....plus not eating 3 to 4 hrs prior to lying down...
My husband had the surgery many years ago and he did just fine. You will have to take it easy for awhile though. Depending on how extensive the hernia is, I would'nt be too surprised if they do the surgery out patient. Of course you'll receive pains meds and the Dr will send you home with a script for pain meds.
I have a friend who is female age 61 who is scheduled for major surgery on a very large ventral hernia in 3 days. she has used Meth today and will not use anymore till surgery. What complications should she expect will happen and is there anything she could do to improve this situation. She is also a smoker of tobacco, but will start breathing treatments with ipratropi/alb and obstain from smoking also.
