Years later I noticed my stomic is geting larger and larger and it is very hard, I was told i need two doctors one for the hernia and the other for the diastasis abd wall. My questions are - 1 would my insurance pay? 2- Do you know of a good Doctor. - Is it a diffacult operation?
Avatar f tn Hello, I used to have extreme pain in the left lower abdomen area (groin area), which was the result of a hernia. I had surgery in July and that took all the pain away. Unfortunately, about two weeks ago, the same exact pain came back. For the past few days, Ive had extreme sharp pain in the same area. I went to the surgeon who fixed my hernia, and she proclaimed that "there is no way the pain is from the hernia".
Avatar f tn If hepatitis is contained or bleeding could be stopped after the operation, then doctors might operate the hernia. How many bottles of blood would be required in case of operation of hernia is necessary?
942162 tn?1245428214 She is a housedog of course. I am in the process of deciding how much will be involved in getting this repaired and how much it might cost and where I should get this fixed. This has been on my mind every day of every week since hearing t his. Mind you she still has no symptoms. At any rate, she needs routine care if this is not a fatal condition. If it is fixable, how fixable is a diaphragmatic hernia and how costly and where? Hoping I make some sense....
Avatar f tn Hey, Doc~ I'm sure you understand that it isn't just any tick that will produce Lyme disease after having bitten someone. You know that they are deer ticks that have been infected, and hence carry the disease. I'm sorry about the cat. My goodness! But there's no way to tell if the tick that latched onto kitty infected the cat with Lyme or something else. (Not saying it can't have been Lyme!) I found a site that says Lyme was first documented in Australia in 1980.
Avatar f tn Yes, I think a hernia can go into the scrotum. Hernia pain can also come and go. https://www.urologyhealth.
1169557 tn?1263270893 She wants to get her hernia removed but is scared because her body cant handle surgery. She has an appt in february, but I am scared that is too far away. She's had to go by ambulance to the hospital atleast 5 or 6 times since her surgery 3 years ago.I feel like I should do something but I dont know what i can do..
Avatar f tn I think that the kind of hernia surgery you are looking at it is a relatively simple surgery, as far as surgery goes. I don't think the dog will have to be put under deep anaesthesia, the procedure is something that is done close to the surface, and it is a fairly quick operation. I would expect a healthy dog to recover well. Your boy might have some activity restrictions while he is recovering, to keep him from pulling the stitches loose and undoing the procedure.
Avatar m tn The cost of surgery will depend on the type of hospital you are opting for and the duration of post surgery stay. In general it can cost anywhere between one to three lakhs for an arachnoid decompression surgery. It could be more in some private hospitals and the cost can go up if there are complications. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
Avatar m tn Hello and hope you are doing well. The common causes for testicular pain are injury, infection and torsion. Injury can cause a tear of the testicular layers or it can cause a hematoma (blood collection). Infection can affect and cause epididymitis or orchitis resulting in pain. Testicular torsion is an emergency as the blood supply may be compromised and needs to be relieved. Sometimes a tumor of the testis can cause pain. Consult your primary care physician for therapy.
Avatar f tn My Gynecologist thinks I have a hernia. I have a CT scheduled for Friday and a follow up on Tuesday to discuss results and the plan. It's looking like, either way, I'm having another surgery. If it's not a hernia and nothing else alarming shows up, they will assume it's scar tissue and likely to a laparscopy to look for and break up scar tissue/adhesions. Anyone out there have a hernia after surgery?
Avatar n tn I am now 71 and smoked for 43 years, until my first heart attack resulted in two stents in Maine, 1999. Then, I got four more stents in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico in 2005. The quality of the hospital in Guadalajara was spectacular, as was the care. Now, I have COPD and burning lungs for part of each day. Since I also have hernia and diverticulosis, I find that relieving gas or having a bowel movement helps a lot.
1444053 tn?1365456815 Been reading forums on LINX surgery and the trial done in 2009 and wondering now its 4 yrs on who has had it how successful and whats the downfall of this surgery? it sounds alot better and reversable the the wrapping stomache around esopheagus and also the trial patient stopped all medications and reported 0 acid reflux or pain which sounds fantastic. 2nd question is anyone having it done in Australia? if yes where and who?
Avatar f tn they have just had their first taste of wet food (fish flavoured Dine kitten) and she nearly ate my finger off (i just let them lick it off my finger so that they could experience the taste- so all in all she seems to be eating well but the hernia seems quiet big for such a tiny baby.. I included a photo for you to have a look at.
Avatar m tn The CABG area should be located in the area of your sternum. In my opinion, this hernia has nothing to do with the surgery or your car accident.
