Herbs vitamins to lower blood sugar

Common Questions and Answers about Herbs vitamins to lower blood sugar

Avatar f tn After seeing a GP, internist, neurologist, and psychologist to no avail, I really want to believe that these herbs will be my answer. However, I'm also afraid that they're going to wind up making my condition worse rather than better. After taking them the first time, I felt very brain fogged (almost to the point of disorientation), off-balanced, and very sensitive to stimuli like bright lights and sounds. The 24/7 headache that I have also felt about 10 times worse.
179332 tn?1273250959 The Naturopath physician spent 1 full hour with me and in that one hour, taught me so much about why I was experiencing what I was. As far as lowering your blood pressure... they say to cut the salt, limit your alcohol and caffeine intake, eliminate the bad saturated fats and exercise. If you smoke, consider quitting.
Avatar f tn I searched on the internet and found the explanation that my immune system was misidentifying sugar in my blood as an invader and would them generate histamine to combat the invader. To me it made since because a single antihistamine pill worked fairly well. I spoke to my family doctor about the "invader theory" and he agreed it could be correct. I asked if it would get better with time and he said "no it could get worse".
Avatar n tn I have read about different vitamins that are out there to lower blood sugar, such as cinnamon[bark}, lipoic acid, evening primose to name a few. But when I ask my daugher's doctor about these "remedies" he said it does not help. I have given my daughter Cinnergen which is a cinnamon/cranberry liquid along with other vitamins in it. She has been on it for almost 2 months. It seems like it has kept her blood sugars more consistent. What is your take on herbal "remedies?
4939681 tn?1361302899 so no fruit, no sugar at all. To be fair, my doc said he had 'never' seen that happen to anyone before, so this may well not apply to you. Simply fwiw. I don't know that you can overdose on the regular, acidophilus probiotics, just get a good brand (preferably one that is refrigerated in the store and has an expiration date on it and has if possible a variety of bacterial strains rather than only one, so I read.
Avatar f tn Need advice, I'm 57 + back in Oct. 2010 I had my 2 lower wisdom teeth removed. The oral surgeon told me due to my age there was a chance I'd have numbness, but it might not be permanent. The left side of my chin, lip + teeth became numb, I've had 2 follow up visits + was feeling some improvement. Now in the last 2 weeks the numbness has become more intense than at any time. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Avatar n tn This has got to be due to a vitamin C with Bioflavinoids deficiency! Aspirin depletes vitamin C and so does stress and many other things. You need a good multi vitamin and mineral plus at least 1000 mg. vitamin C plus bioflavinoids. The Bioflavinoids help keep the veins and arteries strong.
Avatar f tn So will magnesium make low blood pressure lower if it reduces high blood pressure?

Our blood pressure fluctuates. Our digestion and elimination become more sensitive. Our metabolism changes. We react more to our environment and catch cold more often. Even our protective mechanisms start to falter. Progesterone drops off during the luteal phase.
Avatar n tn My T-cells stay within the 800 to 1000 range since I have been on these herbs. Moducare cost a little more than Astralagus, but soooooooo worth it. I feel great!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar f tn You may want to look into adaptagen herbs such as Rhodiola, Ashwagandha, or an Adrenal support vitamin which is a blend of these herbs, or Seripohs. Your belly fat issue could be due to high Cortisol, the stress hormone. This is my problem and am working on it, so maybe research this topic.
Avatar m tn Siberian ginseng isn't called that anymore, so this might be old info gym is citing -- it's now called eleuthero, after its Latin name, and has been for several years due to legal disputes. American ginseng can lower blood sugar, so be careful first to make sure blood sugar isn't the problem. Chinese or Korean ginseng can burn you out if used regularly, so get advice before using that regularly. Eleuthero can be used pretty safely.
176838 tn?1211463974 This is difficult for me to do as I need to eat after I wake up, otherwise my blood sugar drops and I get very shaky. Would it be fine to take my synthroid before I go to bed after all my eating is done for the day as long as I do it consistently?

535822 tn?1443980380 An appropriate cleanse should be supported with fermented drinks that provide potassium, enzymes, organic acids and B vitamins to resource the elimination channels. It is also advantageous to use coconut oil during the cleansing period. Coconut oil feeds the immune system and helps provide medium-chain triglycerides that destroy parasitic microorganisms. It also helps to provide a clean energy source for the brain and reduces inflammation.. http://www.theconversation.
Avatar m tn (Google PACE training regimen for an example of a workout style that seems - for me - to be more detrimental than helpful). The next thing I plan to explore is going to a no-gluten, no-sugar, mostly raw diet and seem if it has an effect. I feel so much better eating that way anyhow, so it's a win afaiac. Right now I seem to average 15-30 clean beats then a skip and sometimes (especially after eating) the skips might stack up (every beat, every second or third) for awhile.

1018470 tn?1251337123 I will, of course, be very cautious with my mom and her health, but she has suffered for more than 30 years (Thyroid) and it wasn't dx'd until (2004) after I became very ill due to me finding out I had a T problem. Her doc, if you can believe, when I told my mom to get tested for a T problem...said, Oh Geri, you're okay, no need to test your thyroid and medicare won't cover it. REALLY!
Avatar m tn You are presently taking prenatal vitamins so you do not need additional vitamin/mineral supplementation. To help lower your blood pressure is to lower your salt (sodium) intake. To keep your sodium levels down, avoid high sodium foods, prepared/prepackaged foods, cold cuts, cured meats, and take away the ‘salt shaker’. Adding extra herbs and garlic/spices (without salt) to your food will add more flavor and you will not miss the salt. Hope this helped you.
Avatar n tn My deal is that the skin on the top of the lower part of my thumbs, (which are double jointed), where the thumbs are joined to the hand, actually feels like the skin is burned. It hurts even when it is not touched-just like a burn-and hurts even more when it is touched. To make matters worse, since I was about 58-I am 65 now-my thumbs slip out of joint and I don't know what causes it! Maybe this is a problem with the nerves.........zinc, which aids healing, doesn't seem to do diddly........
Avatar n tn It started in my lower left back, then moved on to my stomach and lower back. I don't think it is shingles since that has a very clear skin rash that shows up with it. I have though recently been bitten by a spider. The spider bite was on my left arm, not painful, only a little sensitive to the touch. The bite was a bump with a smaller bum next to it, I assume this was one fang got more venom in me than the other.
Avatar f tn This morning I had to take a nebulizer treatment to help. People be careful. I also wanted to add that my blood pressure went from 130/80 to 88/66 and my heart rate went up to 107 while laying down. This is why I used my Epi-Pen, I was going into anaphylactic shock. BTDT!

Avatar f tn CQ10 start right away Calcium and Magnesium start right away DLPA is very good for pain Potassium start right away B complex excellent - I would start right away There are herbs that also can help but I don't know enough about them to comment but do a search or go in to a good health food store and speak to the owner. Explain your symptoms. Ice packs on neck and back really help as well. DLPA is supposed to be an excellent pain reliever so that would be a great place to start.
