Heavy periods on cerazette

Common Questions and Answers about Heavy periods on cerazette

Avatar f tn I was prscribed Cerazette, because of my migrane. From that time I used to have periods two times a month, it was two weeks before I finished my monthly pack of pills and after I finished pack. It was quite light and usually lasted for a week. It was not very comfortable to have two period a month, so I decided to stop pills when the first period started (two weeks before the end of my pill pack). So my periods started as normal, but after three days it started bleeding abnormal.
Avatar f tn Hello and welcome! You've received great answers thus far, but just a quick question...you said you take a lot of "tablets"? What are you on, and for how long? What is your dose? The "heavy head" feeling you are describing could very well be anxiety, but I'm curious as to what meds you are on as well. Let us know!

(I'VE BEEN ON CERAZETTE TWICE BEFORE AND AFTER STOPPING IT IVE HAD THIS BREAKTHROUGH BLEED EXACTLY 2 WEEKS AFTER STOPPING IT AND I'D '''NORMALLY''' GET A NORMAL PERIOD 4 WEEKS AFTER THAT) I should have had a period yesterday, I didn't so i took a pregnancy test today just to clarify I werent pregnant.

Avatar m tn I went on the Cerazette birth control pill about 3 weeks ago, and 10 days ago i started my period, and it wont stop. It's heavier than usual, and normally, they only last 5 days. I'm scared, will it ever stop? If not, what can i do? Thank You.
Avatar f tn Long story short - I've been on contraception since I was 16 due to my heavy, irregular and painful periods. The pill triggered migraines, so I switched to cerazette which stopped my periods completely. I only decided to get the implant because I'd been taking a pill a day daily for 5 years, and the implant meant I wouldn't have to think about it. After being on it for about 9 months, thing have gone downhill. My periods came back almost immediately, and they were slightly irregular.
Avatar n tn I recently switched my pill from Microgynon to Femulen (because this is the only pill that doesn't contain lactose), and since I've been on this pill, I've been having.. too many periods! From starting Femulen on the first day of my period, I had a full 7 day period. Fine. Then about a week later, I start bleeding again, after getting quite worried, we decided it was another period. This lasted about 4 days. Fine. But now...
Avatar f tn When I stopped taking birth control my periods were abnormally heavy at first.
Avatar f tn It took about 12 months for my periods to come back and be regular after being on the deppo for 2 years, they were extremely heavy and painful and i didnt get pregnant. I decided i couldnt deal with the periods and went on the bc pill cerazette, i got pregnant whilst on this pill lol i think things are different for everyone!
Avatar f tn I'm 16 (17 in a month) and I've been on cerazette (a type of pill) for about 10 months and I've been sexually active for a similar time. We don't always use condoms but the pill is supposed to be 100% if taken correctly, which I'm pretty sure it has been. When first on the pill I had regular periods and then no periods but recently I keep having a period about 3 times in a month and sometimes it lasts for up to 10 days...:/ its never very heavy and sometimes abit brown. Pleaaaase help!!
Avatar f tn hi i have recently been put on cerazette to help anemia related to heavy periods/endometriosis. after reading other peoples stories about digestive problems while taking this medicine i am not sure wether to start using it at the start of my next period (due tomorrow) or not. I also suffer from IBS and are concerned about the interaction between the two. advice please.
Avatar f tn I had my left fallopian tube and ovary surgically removed 17 days ago as I had a very severe infection due to a large abscess on the fallopain tube and ovary. I am 40 and gave birth to my 5th child 11 weeks ago. I had been exclusively breastfeeding my baby until she was 8 weeks old and I was taken into hospital and have since had to stop.
Avatar f tn I initially decided to take the pill to prevent pregnancy again to allow myself some time to grieve and get my head back however, this had completely the opposite effect and made me feel 10x worse emotionally. I also resented the fact I had next to no periods as I really needed the reassurance of seeing my body working through it's natural cycle to know that 'I still work' Anyway after discussing with my partner I've now decided to stop taking the pill.
1527510 tn?1392304944 This one is more for those of you that has been on the BCP. It's been a few years since I have, but I'm back on it now and have been for about 4 months now. I have been taking it every day, at bedtime each night and haven't missed any. However, for the past 3 weeks I've noticed I've been bleeding every day. Sometimes it's like spotting and other time it's heavy for a few hours like AF. I've also been cramping off and on.
Avatar n tn I've been on the progesterone only pill Noriday since May (the combined pill did not suit me at all). Since then I've experienced two periods a month. Before my periods lasted 5 days, occasionally they were heavy. Now, my period lasts 7 days and is really heavy. My boyfriend lives away so we don't get to see each other that much. The last few times we have seen each other we couldn't have sex because I had my period. This is getting extremely frustrating.
Avatar m tn Been on the mini pill (micronor) for 3 months now, was given it after being on cerazette for only 3 weeks, had to switch due to constant headaches. I also suffer from regualar headaches anyway but they were happening every single day on cerazette . Considering going off micronor as i have gained out 4-5 pounds in the last 3 months! :O Have constant bleeding which has become thinker and almost black in colour and is often in clots.
Avatar f tn Also I had a big bleed on 1st Feb which lasted 2 hours since then I've had brown stuff when I wipe and sometimes on my underwear, not heavy though just light. That's why I'm worried about fading positive line!
Avatar f tn The implant controlled my bleeding for around two month inspite of the problem i mentioned about intercourse but then it stopped having any effect I kept on it for a year under the advice of a GP. I have also been on a lot of different types of the pill most recently jasmin, ellese solo and i have Just recently tried the mini pill cerazette which stopped my period but the bleeding during sex got a lot worse it was also followed by server pain.
Avatar f tn I initially had the imlanon fitted which made me very depressed so was put onto cerazette. Both times my hormone levels we're tested and where fine. I had internal exams and a vaginal ultrasound which showed very slight polycystic overlies. All contraception was stopped to monitor but actually fell pregnant again before any further investigations could take place. That pregnancy went fine too and again I had a healthy baby.
Avatar n tn just would have thought if id have my 7 day break it might clear it all out and my periods get back to normal? Im going to go back and see the doctor on my last pill of the pack, im going to make an appointment .. should i suggest having my 7day break? I will stick with it as i dont want to come off the pill as my normal periods used to be all over the place and its nice to know i always have a backup contraceptive.. HELP!!!
Avatar f tn So I got the implant in March and had it for 3 months and during those 3 months, I was virtually on my period the whole time and I ended up getting it removed because I became emotionally drained and was exhausted so I went on the pill (cerazette) instead and was on it for a month, and again, during this time, I was on my period, but it was on and off so I didn't mind.
Avatar f tn I have also been overweight my whole life. Years of complaining to quack doctors about my painful periods led to being put on BC and told to lose weight. No one would ever listen to me and actually test me to see if there were anything wrong. When I was 29 in 2001, I decided to undergo Gastric Bypass, having reached 389lbs. By this point, my periods were erratic, extremely painful, heavy- nothing had changed since day 1.
Avatar n tn --- UPDATE--- To All that is experiencing absent periods, irregular periods, heavy periods, Non Stop Periods, etc. My daughter has had her period for over 6 months now, straight. She has gone to her regular OBGYN and he has did a pap, and an internal and exteranal ultrasound. Her test came back negative. He said this appears to be a "HORMONAL' matter and recommended her going to see a Reproductive Endocrinologist Specialist.
Avatar n tn Hi all, I have 4 kids age 5-12 and I had the copper IUD fitted a year ago, after the doctor recommended it as the pill was causing me seriously heavy periods and i had tried numerous pills.
Avatar n tn I’m 45 years old and started taking the shot in March 07 and in Sept 07 the day after I had my 3rd shot I was taken to the ER with severe anxiety attack and hypoglicemia. Four days later another anxiety attack and another trip to the ER. I had asked my OBGYN if these symptoms could be related to the shot and she said absolutely not. So I kept getting the shot while my nightmare of panic, anxiety, palpitations, depression and hypoglicemia was getting worse and worse.
Avatar n tn Everybody is different when it comes to "the right time to take HPT" I have very irregular periods when I'm not on the pill, but I've been on for the last four years and it keeps me very regular. I went off the pill in August then had my period pretty exact in September then when I missed my period in October I took a home pregnancy test the day first day of my missed period and it said negative.
Avatar n tn I am currently waiting for an appointment with Gynae Consultant about diagnosed fibroids and heavy periods and another appointment for a colonoscopy for the bleeding after bowel movements. However, since seeing my GP I have had two episodes of vaginal bleeding during bowel movements - seems like quite a lot of blood loss. Thought I was going mad so pleased to discover I am not alone! My hospital appointments are in September and I will mention this then.

Avatar n tn please, please dont be scared!!! you are worrying so much that you are affecting your own body by not getting your period. your period can do crazy things. it can come early, late, be light, heavy, short, long..its ok. even if by some slim chance you did get "some" on you, sperm pretty much dies when it comes in contact w. air. our world would be even more over populated than it is now if we got pregnant by giving a hand job. so do not worry any longer ok?
Avatar n tn Also, I have heard about primrose oil and flaxseed oil being good to regulate hormones or help PMS symptoms. (I was mainly on yasmin for PMS symptoms / moods and to regulate my periods) Thank you!
