645800 tn?1466860955 For as long as I can remember I have had a low normal body temperature. It normally run at about 96.3 and since core temperature in usually about 1 degree high this would make it 97.3. I have also read that any core temperature below 97 in considered mild hypothermia. As such it doesn't take much of a lowering of my body temperature for me to start shivering. So it seems reasonable to me that this is the main reason I have always hated cold weather.
Avatar n tn It's not unusual to have a lowered body temperature. I think we had a poll on average body temps, and they range from 96.7 to 98°... I've heard that people going through flares can have extremely low body temperatures. Personally, when I'm having a flare, or feeling badly, I can have quite low body temperatures - I end up wearing a long-sleeved shirt to keep warn inside the house.
645800 tn?1466860955 I have a low body temperature I have never had what a doctor calls a fever. On the same token my hands are often cold they do not change color even in summer. I have hot flashes all the time so I can't say much about body temperature. I go from hot to cold sweat sometimes every 15 minutes.
402504 tn?1241996524 Out of all my searches for body temperature all I can find is Thyroid problems. Well all my thyroid test are fine. But I am cold most of the time. I live in Houston where it can get extremely hot, but I don't think I have sweated at all this summer. At the beginning of my MS (or whatever this is) experience I was experiencing heat intollerance. But now I am just cold all the time. My symptoms don't get worse in the cold or anything, I am just cold.
Avatar n tn Is there anyone else suffering from severe body heat at night? My husband won't even cuddle with me because I am so hot. He calls me "lava legs" and it's MISERABLE! Help!
Avatar n tn Heat exhaustion can quickly go to full-blown heat stroke which can be fatal if not treated. Hosing her down with the water hose in the heat of the day or after a walk will help. I recall my boss from several years ago who had an Italian Greyhound who nearly died of heat stroke here in Texas. They had adopted the dog in winter, and one fine day in the middle of May when temps suddenly jumped to the low 90's, they looked out the window and saw the dog just laid out in the yard.
Avatar f tn The other neurological disorder that makes symptoms worsen with heat is Mitochondrial disease. Heat plays havoc with the symptoms to the point of having heat stroke. I have to live in the air-conditioning during the summer time, which is why I love the winter so much.
1122824 tn?1274107014 low body temperature is related to my condition. I know that this low body temp has been ongoing for many years (10+ years). My temperature rarely goes above 36C. It can and does go as low as 34.5. Most of the time I feel normal, but I find that I get very cold very quickly even in very hot outside temperatures. I also often have very cold hands even if my body feels warm. My fingers will also change colour to become waxy and pale looking.
1903798 tn?1333905288 I have the same due to chiari and actually it started after my operation.i feel i have heat waves and get really really cold.i heared it quite a lot.i actually do not worry about it...
1453524 tn?1295627371 All day long i am freezing, but when I get into bed at night my body temperature is so hot. My husband complains about it all the time and says how much heat my body throws off. He tells me to move over all the time, (LOL How sad is that) when I ask him to rub my back , he will use lotion, and I notice that when he puts the lotion directly on my back, it sends me through the roof. I yell at him all the time to warm it up first. I definately have that problem .
Avatar m tn My temperature is always around 96.1 to 97.3 and my blood pressure yesterday was 82/47. I do, however, suffer from tinnitus for about 10 years. Good luck and thanks for the information.
Avatar f tn I am almost at 7 weeks and I can't maintain the same body temperature. I fluxuate between shivering to having hot flashes quite frequently. Anyone else???
Avatar n tn My husband will tell you that our 22 years of marriage my body always is what the temperature is. It is frustrating. I can not handle the heat at all, and my husband will tell you my body temperature is HOT and I feel faint in the heat, and when I get cold and cant warm up I have to take a hot shower to do so.Let me know if you figure this out. I KNOW it does exsist because I deal with it!
Avatar f tn My husband is one of those people who like to be covered up to the nose, windows closed. I also feel he emits a lot of body heat in bed which doesn't help me. Consequently neither of us is sleeping well. Could this be post menopausal symptoms, ie hot flushes or is it my body temp?
Avatar m tn t used to this type of weather. Some end up in the hospital with heat stroke, heat exhaustion or dehydration.
Avatar m tn s actually someone like a real stroke but heat stroke or heat exhaustion affects the brain in a different way and the ongoing symptoms are related to the body's reaction to heat or sun. Not everyone experiences ongoing sensitivity, and yours may ease off. But in my case, it was permanent. I remember those two incidents very well to this day, man I was sick (unbelievable). So in a way I am not surprised.
Avatar m tn t believe one sweats to cool off in the hot tub so there is no way to prevent over exposture and the condition can cause a heat stroke...the same results as being in a hot climate. Elevated body temperature may increase the effect of Warfarin. Be careful to avoid becoming overheated, especially during hot weather, steamroom, or a hot tub. Hope this helps.
Avatar n tn In summers, it’s very common for the testes to hang quite low due to the higher temperatures as the temperature of the testes has to be maintained lower than the body temperature so that the viability of the sperms is kept. Please be assured there’s nothing much to worry about. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
492869 tn?1285018933 s are herbs that actually lower body temperature. The question is, is your body temperature actually higher than normal, or does it just feel like it is? If you had heat stroke, for example, they'd throw you into cool water until it came down. But if your temperature is in the normal range, it might not be a physiological problem at all, but what do I know?
Avatar f tn To me what you are describing whilst exercising (running), wouldn't actually be unexpected, if you are also getting hot and sweating more readily even when your not running. You'd be hitting heat exhaustion/heat stroke territory a lot faster than normal, if your body already isn't cooling through your skin properly, the addition of running would be demanding oxygen goes to the muscles in your legs and away from your skin.
Avatar m tn I was just wondering if low body temperature and sepsis is something that can occur during seroconversion? I had low grade fever for a day or 2, but I have been experiencing drops in body temperature over the past 4 weeks. The lowest I have recorded is 94.3. I just took it and it was 95.3, I never experience fever in between.
Avatar f tn Mine also, low body temp and low blood pressure, even pre HCV, sometimes it is genetic. My Mother was the same. Thyroid has always been ok. even during tx.
