My question is,what is it when i take a shower and i start to brake out in hives,or during the day my alergies at up and i start to get a rash all over my body.Been having this proublem for a long time.
To confirm the diagnosis, apply a test tube of warm water to the skin of the forearm. If there is any development of hives after 10-15 minutes, then you are having heat urticaria. Treatment of this condition is by antihistaminics, allergy shots and desensitization techniques.

Hello, first time poster here. So, I woke up this morning after sleeping on the floor (family over), and I was sweating. To think of it, I was sweating all night. I began to itch once I was awake and noticed a large hive/rash on both my inner thighs, inner arms, outer chest(near nipples), and on the inner elbow of one arm.I slept on my right side and on that side(chest/arm wise) the rash seems to be larger. Is this a heat rash? or some kind of allergic reaction?

My dr says that I have heat induced hives and put me on 24 Zyrtec and 25mg of Benedryl. It worked for about a month and now I'm breaking out in hives again when I exercise.
I haven't had any allergy tests done yet.
A fitness friend of mine thinks that I might have a build up of toxins and when i sweat the toxins are being released. I haven't talked with my dr about that yet. Is there any truth to this? I do drink a good bit of regular soda.

Can anti-histamines be bought in drug stores or it has to be prescribed by doctors?
I know you can get heat rashes on your upper body and on your feet. But can you get them on your legs on areas such as inner thighs and shins? Everytime it's warm up or humid, I always get this rash looking thing on my legs. My legs start to break out so bad. And I have tried lotion, but it hurts or burns especially after i shave. And sometimes i would put lotion after i shave, and it hurts. But my question is why do i get strange rash looking things on my legs?

Without examination it is difficult confirming a diagnosis but it can be heat urticaria or hives. In this hives develop 2 to 5 minutes after contact with a warm stimulus and it disappears after 1 hour or so. Heat urticaria is diagnosed by apply a test tube of warm water to the skin of the forearm. The characteristic hives should develop within minutes.
Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin and apply some calamine lotion on the rashes.
The sudden spike in histamine levels can cause an outbreak of hives in the upper layers of the skin. Hives are often caused by a hypersensitivity to:
•Foods (commonly eggs, shellfish, nuts, berries, dyes, or other additives)
•Drugs (any drug can touch off an allergic reaction, although allergies to penicillin, sulfa, and aspirin are especially common)
•Pollens and plants (nettles, poison ivy, poison oak, and so on)
•Animal fur
•Insect bites or stings
•Exposure to heat, cold, or sunshine.
My body pricks and inflames under the slightest heat. Rashes come out of my body as a result and disappears when my body cools down. Because of this I can't go out when the weather is hot, sleep when hot and can't exercise too. I've been having this for over six months now. I've hard a series of blood tests and everything was considered OK. Doctors have been giving me anti histamines and itching relief creams but the problem still persists. Please help me.
I have these red hives all over my body. The worst parts are my neck and shoulders lower and lsupper sides my buttox and lower back and around my genatitals. Was told by my gp it was prickely heat and i was given creams and antihistemines. I think my doc is a mile off. Any suggestions thanks?

i have very itchy skin when it comes into contact with heat including bath water, i get a feeling of pins and needles and it affects my hands arms and chest, my chest has a rash where i keep scratching, i saw my gp 2 weeks ago who said i have roseca because my face was red and itching (t zone). last year i was in hospital for 4 weeks after having surgery to remove some of my bowel (i have crohn's) and i had peritinitius was very ill and was in intensive care.

the symptoms have reappeared. If I leave my laptop on my legs too long the heat from the vents causes me to break out in hives or a rash in that specific area. An non-drowsy anti-histamine clears the problem right up, but am I causing damage to my body by continuing to take this medication? I really don't want to switch, as nothing else has been able to control my moods, but am I doing more harm than good?
