Avatar m tn About a month ago I completed a 2-hour, 40 mile bike ride in the summer heat & humidity and suffered severe heat exhaustion which included nausea, dizziness, extremely high rate, dehydration, etc. Ever since that time it seems by body has become extremely intolerant to high heat & humidity. Just being out in the heat in a sedentary manner causes my heart to beat out of my chest and I end up extremely dizzy & lightheaded.

Avatar f tn A year ago I believe I suffered some heat exhaustion/stroke and since then, when i start getting hot during activities, i get chills up and down my spine, arms and legs. My calf muscle on my left side will tingle/becomes numb, i get dizzy , my face gets red, i can feel my heart pounding in my head and my breathing is rapid but shallow and i have trouble regulating it for a few minutes. It scares me.

Upon awaking the next day I had a severe, crushing headache with pressure. Four weeks after this incident I have sensations of vertigo when moving my head side to side, up or down, or bouncing my head such as when I run.....it's as if my eyes can't follow along with my head.

This along with muscle tension and exhaustion (i get fatiqued easely) has keept me from doing physical exercise except for walking. I just cant endure it. Avatar n tn I thought that when you have a heat exhaustion or stroke from heat that you are dehydrated, Pain Meds? I really have not felt right since, but this other stuff started a few weeks ago. Let me know what you think, maybe I will find some direction from that. I have been having suicidal thoughts since this started. And yes I do have an appointment with a shrink on Monday, for that. Avatar f tn I don't know about early labor but you could easily get heat exhaustion or heat stroke so take extra care and make sure you are staying hydrated and do anything you can to try and keep yourself cool.
Avatar m tn i was walking in the sun for probably 3 hours it was very hot 46 c this day, suddenly i felt my heart is racing and beating so fast with 3 ectopic beats in very few second, i stopped and put my hand on my heart it was beating too fast and strong, i cooled myself down and drank some fluids it all went back to normal(but the ectopic beats lasted for a week), went to a cardiologist he said i'm fine and it's just heat exhaustion, is it AFib or just palpitations with heat exhaustion?

(Such as: heavy panting/breathing TOO deeply/salivation/distress of any kind?).....[later stages include: dry gums as the heat prostration progresses, weakness, confusion or inattention, vomiting or diarrhea and sometimes bleeding. As the condition progresses towards heat prostration or heat stroke there may be obvious paleness or graying to the gums.

402504 tn?1241996524 t heard of with MS. It is typical of somebody with heat stroke or heat exhaustion, however. When somebody first gets heatstroke, or just extremely overheated, they'll get nauseous. I don't usually recommend Gatorade, as it's such a high-calorie drink, but try half-and-half Gatorade and water. It'll help rehydrate you and replenish some salts. I live in Texas too, and on Saturday it was so hot and humid, I seriously considered moving.
Avatar m tn I have had 2 heart attacks (age 46 and 48) from clots in a tiny artery, branch of a branch of LAD and ever since have issues breathing when it's humid outside. I am working for 1 month in a carpenter shop with no A/C, only fans and it has been as high as 99. I think I've gotten heat exhaustion twice now, missed 2 days of work. This is not my career, only a 1 month learning experience and I'm considering going to half days, early mornings only.
