Avatar f tn the cramps are most likely due to ur body getting ready to carry a baby. best of luck!
Avatar m tn If you have not got back to your doctor or been referred back to the specialist who did the operation, then you should do so. It is likely that either something has not healed properly or you may have new bone damage due to arthritic changes. Keep a record of your symptoms and when these get worse, so that you can avoid any situations that aggravate and make the pain and the heat worse. You may benefit from applying a cold compress to reduce the swelling and heat.
Avatar n tn sometimes a simple walk can make my body temperature rise and after a few minutes my skin starts to get red and rashes occur to almost all parts of my body. Avatar n tn Has anyone here suffered from rashes due to imbalanced thyroid levels or because of to much medication? I thought we had bed bugs but after searching and turning up nothing I searched the web http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art24839.asp This is crazy I have 13 hives/bites on stomach and hip they itch like crazy! Driving me insane... I am getting my blood done again next week so I guess that will tell if I am getting to much medication.
Avatar n tn It is quite possible that the cramps and tingling numbness are due to peripheral neuropathy. This can be due to diabetes or Vitamin B12 deficiency. Please get your blood sugar levels checked. Another cause for calf cramps and tingling numbness can be nerve compression. Compression of the sciatic nerve or one of its five nerve roots can cause pain in the calf along with tingling numbness. Please do some leg exercises, massage and heat and ice therapy will also help.

Extended use of sauna suits for the purposes of inducing quick weight loss can lead to serious health emergencies including organ failure due to extreme loss of electrolytes and even death related to heat stroke. Although sauna suits do provide for quick weight loss, the results only last until you drink a glass of water or refuel your body.

Avatar n tn For example, about 3 or 4 months after an illness or a major surgery, you may suddenly lose a large amount of hair. This hair loss is related to the stress of the illness and is temporary. Hormonal problems may cause hair loss. If your thyroid gland is overactive or underactive, your hair may fall out. This hair loss usually can be helped by treatment thyroid disease. Hair loss may occur if male or female hormones, known as androgens and estrogens, are out of balance.

Avatar f tn Narrowing of the arteries that deliver blood to the legs (arteriosclerosis of the extremities) can produce cramps in the legs and feet while exercising. These cramps go away within a few minutes after stopping. Nerve compression: Compression of nerves in the spine (lumbar canal stenosis) can produce pain and cramping in the legs. The pain usually worsens if one walks for a longer time. Walking in a slightly flexed position may improve symptoms.
Avatar m tn This may help rule out a fungal infection of the scalp which usually presents with some degree of redness and hair stubbles due to broken hairs atop the involved area. Seborrheic dermatitis does present with a diffuse hair loss which may not be obvious to the examiner. This differs from that of a fungal infection. Mechanical trauma may cause hair loss. Intense and frequent scratching may lead to patchy hair loss if this results to pulling out hair from the area.

Avatar f tn Does it depend on how long you are out in the heat? What is the temp outside have to be where you have to resort to wearing one of those? Is this something I should invest in being so early in with my MS? I'm sure it depends on who you are, I get that everyone is different.

Avatar m tn For the past two months I have been experiencing some relatively minor symptoms that have been having a large impact on my life - primarily due to when they occur. Sometimes it gets late at night I experience some very minor discomfort in my bowels, but every single time I lie down to go to sleep I feel the urge to move my bowels. Sometimes the urge isn't great, but I still get up to go to the bathroom just in case.
Avatar f tn It might be due to degeneration of spinal disc leading to disc prolapse condition. Degeneration of spinal disc occurs as age progresses and this can occur at any level of spine. Therefore, this makes disc more fragile and slight pressure may lead to disc prolapse. As a result of prolapse or injury, nerve impingement may cause intermittent low back pain, leg or thigh pain, numbness or tingling of the buttocks and loss on bowel/bladder control(if severe disc degeneration).

2052165 tn?1331146225 PCS is caused by alterations in bile flow due to the loss of the reservoir function of the gallbladder. Two types of problems may arise. The first problem is continuously increased bile flow into the upper GI tract, which may contribute to gastritis. The second consequence is related to the lower GI tract, where diarrhea and colicky lower abdominal pain can occur as the bile is continuously secreted. But this will settle with time. Regards.
Avatar n tn Operation was 16 months ago and recently I've been experiencing severe cramps in bladder area. So bad it hurts to sit, walk lie down etc. Doctor said it could be a kidney stone but X-ray doesn't show any. Asked about cancer since I get heartburn almost every day, but PSA comes up as 0.01 so I'm told I have no cancer. Doctor then states it's due to reconstruction, but why after 16 months would this now occur?
Avatar f tn Does this sound like ARS? Is it normal to have such a short fever or to have the rash occur a week after resolution of the initial symptoms? I’m getting tested, so this isn’t a substitute for the test. Just anxious and want to know what I should expect.
Avatar f tn Agree with you that the heat wave could be exhausting. With water try to replace the salts as well, as dehydration can occur due to sweating. Also wear loose cotton clothes, broad brimmed hats and apply sunscreens repeatedly. Humidifying the room could further help. Warm regards.
Avatar n tn I started taking synthroid on May 2 and was suppose to have a period around the 19th of May but never did and here it is June 9th. The strange thing is that periodically I feel like I am going to start, (symptoms that I usually get before I do) but I guess I just wish I knew if this was normal or not.
