Avatar n tn Hello, These itchy bumps can be due to irritated hair follicles causing folliculitis, hives, scabies bites or viral rashes. The other possibilities are of heat rash or sweat dermatitis. Use a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Also use cotton clothes and change the clothes twice if there is any increased sweating. Try keeping the skin free of sweat as far as possible. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort.
Avatar f tn A few weeks ago I developed an itchy ring of bumps around one ankle - then I noticed a few on my thighs and now I have many bumps up and down my legs. What can I do to get rid of them?
Avatar m tn Hello, These can be due to folliculitis or sweat dermatitis. Prickly heat (miliaria) is an itchy skin rash caused by trapped sweat. It tends to occur on areas of the body where skin touches skin, such as under the breasts, on the inner thighs, and under the arms. Tiny red spots with itching and pricking sensation are the characteristic appearance of this rash. Avoid using any lotions and creams for the meantime. Use a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil.
Avatar n tn For a couple days, I have been getting small itchy bumps on my stomach. They are about the size of a small pimple. Some are red, some are skin colored. My skin has been itchy all over, not just my stomach. I thought it was an allergic reaction, so I took some Benadryl last night before I went to sleep. When I woke up this morning, they were still there. Now they are all over my thighs too, and a couple on my arms. The new ones are all skin colored. What could this be and how do I get rid of it?
Avatar f tn i recently just broke out in small itchy bumps on my arms stomach back and neck. not at all times do they itch. what can this be?
Avatar f tn Hi There is a common skin condition called hives or urticaria, which causes red and sometimes itchy bumps on your skin. Hives can occur anywhere on the body such as the trunk, arms, and legs. Hives are usually allergic (food, medication and insect stings) but may also be due to infections and stress. Many a times no specific cause for them is ever found. They usually go away on their own.
1528052 tn?1291767540 For the last 4 months I've been getting itchy bumps all over my upper torso; My back, neck, arms, shoulders, stomach, and right near my pubic area. There are rare occasions that I don't get the rash, but when I do it's right after P.e or after I've taken a shower/bath. I have changed my laundry detergent and am now using Arm and Hammer (for sensitive skin). I've stopped using my regular body soap and I use Dove liquid soap.

Avatar n tn Hey A couple of months ago i started noticing real little bumps on my pubic area on the shaft. Fearing the worst i talked with a nurse and had a std test done. She was sure that i didnt have symptoms for a std but i did the test anyway. It came back negative. I talked with a friend and she said it was a heat rash and talking with the nurse she said it might be a tropical rash as well. I have been putting lotion on the area do u have any suggestions ??
Avatar n tn Hello, The description is not complete which will help in confirming a diagnosis but it can be allergic contact dermatitis, heat rash, sweat dermatitis, hives, folliculitis, cysts etc. If the lesions are itchy then taking oral antihistaminics will help. Also wear cotton clothes and consult a dermatologist for confirmatory diagnosis. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
1359377 tn?1277458536 Alot of exercise that causes you to sweat down there can cause itchy heat bumps when there isnt alot of air flow. Another thing could be if u shave??? i would go to the doctor to make sure, just incase this is something else and can get taken care of.
Avatar n tn Hello, From the symptoms they sound like sweat dermatitis or heat rash/prickly heat.Prickly heat (miliaria) is an itchy skin rash caused by trapped sweat. Avatar f tn for the past few months I have been going to a tanning bed and I've noticed itchy red bumps on certain parts of my skin. I've cut down on the tanning bed but the bumps have gotten worse. I am aware it is probably a heat rash and the tanning bed is causing but I would like to know what can help prevent it and what can help take it away or calm it down?
Avatar f tn When I get hot or start to sweat I start itchy under my arms and in the bends of my arms and sometimes goes to my stomach and side and break out in little itchy red bumps and when I sat down and cool off they go away.I also get them sometimes if I'm around a crowd and get nervous. If this is heat does that mean I'm getting ready for a heat stroke. The way hives looks on the interest thats not it.Can you please help. Its about to drive me crazzzzzy!
Avatar f tn Try putting cool, wet compresses on itchy areas. Avoid going out in the heat of the day, since heat can intensify the itching. Wear loose, smooth cotton clothing.
Avatar f tn For the past 2 weeks I've had random, tiny, itchy, pointy, skin colored bumps. They started as a cluster on my buttocks, then randomly will move out to my legs and arms and one or two bumps on my hands every so often. They seem to come and go. I first thought they were zits breaking out so I tried some Antiseptic. Then I thought maybe I just have dry skin, so I tried lotion. Kind of soothes it, but not sure if I notice much of a difference.
Avatar m tn Wow, this thread shows how many people are suffering from the same mysterious little red bumps. I've had heat rash while taking diuretics that make one sun sensitive that created small clear blisters but the little red bumps I have now are on one foot only, and have reoccurred in the same place several times. I am feeling that it may be stress related as I have had an outbreak of oral herpes in the form of a canker sore at the same time I have the bumps twice now.
Avatar n tn i have these small itchy red bumps. i get them around the back of my thighs and around my armpit area and my sides. i checked online if it was scabies but i don't think it is. the bumps dont get bigger when i scratch them but they are extremely itchy. i try not to scratch them thinking they might go away. and they do, but then a few days later they seem to come back. it says online that scabies often show a pencil like mark and i don't see any of that.
Avatar n tn i have red itchy bumps all over the top of my thighs.
Avatar f tn Hi Welcome to the MedHelp forum! Such outbreaks are generally viral or allergic in nature. Red itchy bumps all over the body can be due to viral rashes like shingles or herpes or chicken pox (unlikely as you do not have fever). Fungal infections too mimic these type of bumps. It could also be urticaria or hives. The swellings or wheals produced after itching can be pale (of skin color) or red.
