m allergic to acetmenaphin(tylenol) which is supposedly the only thing I can take while pregnant. My doctor refuses to write me prescriptions for anything else and tells me to deal with it and there's nothing else like aspirin that I can take. She's very rude. My sister had a baby about a year ago, she's allergic to tylenol as well and her doctor told her other medicines she can take that wouldn't be harmful to the child. She can't remember what they are tho.
Ok so even before pregnancy I have had issues with insomnia. It has gotten really bad since being pregnant to where its effecting my work and daily obligations. My doctor gave me a sample of ambiem from one of there reps about a week ago it only has 2 pills but I have been very hesitant to try it.
Since the attack I quit smoking and have been taking these drugs, but have been unwell almost everyday, suffering heartburn or chest contractions or some other stomach or chest pains or depression. As the months pass by I began to suspect and now believe that these problems are side effects of the drugs. I visited many doctors and had various checks and echos and analysis and was told that I am ok and was advised not to take alternative medicines!
Is it safe to take tums while pregnant? I have acid reflux now and it's scary it tastes horrible and I don't like waking up choking in the middle of the night. I get it even after 2-3 hours of eating.
Heartburn is normal. I have it constantly and the medicine that I'm allowed to take for it doesn't help at all :( My doctor thinks I may have acid reflex, but we decided to wait until after the baby is born to do the test and stuff to see if it was the baby causing the heartburn or not before she starts prescribing me medicine. You're organs are being pushed around in your body to make room for your growing baby. I went for a few weeks where I had really bad trouble breathing.
Didnt take it again and she was up to her usual antics so now I am against taking anything while pregnant.
Well I'm having the same issue as you. I take the over the counter Zantac medicine and it worked for a while but now it's so severe that it's not working for me anymore. So I'm gonna ask my doctor to prescribe me something.
So I'm 33 weeks pregnant. Zantac and tums didn't help. They prescribed me a medicine and now that's not working. I'm to the point where I'm puking. Can anyone tell me anyone old time tricks or home remedies that would work. Besides milk. Tried that and just puked.....this is aweful!
