1122750 tn?1271625897 Just started the jump rope training. Feels terrific because it raises mz heart rate verz quicklz makes me sweat in 10 minutes or less. Since it helps me reach faster the point where I burn calories: - after 2 times spark people - 1 round of 5 minutes. followed on Sunday by X stretch, the stretch was better because my body was super warmed up followed on Monday Yoga X, i sweat bullets. no joke.

Avatar f tn Great inspiration! I saw that video before after searching for a good jump rope. At the same time I read that some guy "invented" a jump rope without the rope to inspire clumsy people like me even more to continue this great cardio workout without tripping.
Avatar f tn Today something happened that really scared me. I was at Chuck E Cheese and tried to play a jump rope game (jump over the electronic "rope", faster and faster to try and beat the machine). After 2 very short turns (b/c I couldn't seem to jump high enough), my legs almost gave out, my heart was pounding out of control and I almost passed out!

Avatar f tn I very much doubt it, does he lose his balance other times or only when he jumps rope , if he loves other sports maybe he should do them and leave jump rope. Do his knees feel okay, dont hurt him, sometimes children get growing pains .
Business woman3 jump rope for the next target
Avatar m tn the reason for that is I jog and run 30-45 minutes a day, jump rope like a boxer for 20 minutes or more( walk all the time in the day as I park my car about 3-5 blocks from work then spin around the mall just to walk for an hour or so and I never pant. I am also doing martial arts twice a week which is pretty rigorous and punch the bag heavily for my cardio. I also tried acupuncture and I hope this will make all of this go away.
Avatar n tn took it after just standing up from laying down.
Avatar n tn I have had the same problem with no abnormality of my heart structure itself. Never had a stroke and was put on beta blocker to keep my heart rate low.
Avatar n tn I have a resting heart rate between 70-80 bpm, I just walk and my heart rate goes up to 130, I did jump rope for not even a minute and my heart rate jumped to 163 bpm, this realy worries me. I have had a Holter for 24hrs with nothing to report, I had an echocardiogram and everything seems to be in order there as well, I have had test done to see if I might have asthma.... nothing.... so is there anyone who can perhaps give me some insight as to why my heart does this...

Avatar n tn I am 36 and have MVP along with tachycardia and anxiety I am on a nerve pill as well, my question is are the pains going up my right side of my neck from my collar bone anything I should be realy concerned with? I hate going back and forth to the dr. Also my second question is any one able to help my son with his Jump Rope for Heart page? http://www.kintera.org/faf/r.asp?
Avatar m tn m a healthy 19 year old who eats well, and does some form of exercise nearly every day, ranging from jump rope to weight lifting, to landscaping. I was recently diagnosed with benign PVCs by my cardiologist after have an echocardiogram, various EKGs which never show abnormal activity, a holter monitor (which did show the PVCs, but few of them) and blood work. All came back normal except the holter.
Avatar f tn She complains all the time she does not feel good. Nonspecific joint complaints. She says she feels like the kids in jump rope for heart video. She complains of dizziness fatigue stomach pain. We have checked thyroid studies rheumatoid panel CBC and Chem 7 all normal. Tried counseling no issue identified. Resting pulse 130 at times. Help. All docs are saying nothing is wrong but there has to be something. Her entire demeanor has changed and I am desperate for answer.
Avatar n tn Recently I was diagnosed with a PFO and and Atrial Septal aneurysm. I am 44. I was told it was congenital, but can these things happen as a result of something that has happened? The reason I ask is that I used to run marathons, and I suddenly started having problems now, are these always here from birth?
Avatar n tn I have SVT which is an extra pathway in my heart. At times my heart will suddenly shoot right up to 250 - 300 bpm for no reason. The heart beat does not feel like it does when you exercise hard, it feels more forcefull and it feels like it will explode out of your chest. I would suggest seeing your Dr and maybe getting a heart monitor to wear and see if they can catch anything.
Avatar n tn to meet criteria it has to move 1cm from the midline. The combination of a PFO and a septal aneurysm has been showed to increase the risk of stroke. It is debateable how best to treat this but most cardiologists put people with these findings on a full dose aspirin (325mg)daily; if there has been a stroke we would consider anticoagulation with a blood thinner.
Avatar f tn Jumping jacks. Jump rope. Rope climbers. Lunges with weights. Pushups. Crunches then stretch. Your done in twenty min. And you have gotten your heart rate up and your metabolism revving.
306209 tn?1192818127 My brother just had a stroke (blockage of oxygen to the right side of his brain)... he is 61 & 1/2 years olds... they just checked his heart (angiogram) and we were told he has a "hole" in his heart and they will have to do surgery to fix it... what came first??? the heart problem or the stroke??? did the heart problem cause the stroke because there wasn't enough oxygen to the right side of his brain because of a possible "clot" from his heart?...
