Avatar f tn When your body temperature rises, your heart rate and BP rises as well. Heat causes dilation of the blood vessels which causes the heart to speed up and pump faster to keep up with the amount of blood that needs to flow through the dilated veins.
Avatar f tn To provide a perspective, if your fitness level is good your recovery rate after your work and hot environment should be below 100 within 2 minutes at rest and away from the heat. A slow reduction in the heart rate after exercise is beneficial to the heart. However, if the heart rate has not dropped by more than 12 bpm one minute after stopping exercise this may indicate health issue.
Avatar f tn Hi am a 45 yr old female who had Bypass Surgery a yr ago to loss weight and medical reason I just happen to find out I have a low heart rate beating at 45, I was told by my Dr it might be my thyroid. And my question is if the test comes back that it is my Thyroid that's making my heart rate beat slow what would be the out come to this? Would I be taking medication for the rest of my life? And in the long run would I need a pacemaker? Or did the Bypass surgery had to play a roll in this?
Avatar f tn I decided the pain in my arm was too much and took tums, hoping it was heart burn. It went away, and my heart rate went down. I've taken 3 doses of tums and my rate has stayed down and my pain is gone. I decided to try skipping a dose today thinking the problem would have subsided by now. I went into urgent care to ask them about heart burn issues and if it was what could be causing it.
Avatar n tn The goals of treatment for atrial fibrillation include restoring the heart to normal rhythm, lowering the heart rate, and preventing blood clots. Most people who have atrial fibrillation need more than one type of treatment. Treatment options may include nonsurgical procedures, medications, medical devices such as pacemakers, or surgical procedures.
Avatar n tn Is the fetal heart rate always going to be different? I went to the doctors last month the and the rate was 156. this week is it was 148. I am going on 19 weeks.
Avatar n tn I became clammy and faint, vomited (some but not most of my breakfast), and broke out in a profuse sweat. My husband said my body felt cold from head to toe and my heart rate was 46. I had no pain or heat anywhere. After a few hours of sleep I feel fine, just a little tired. My heart rate has been between 52 and 56 since then. What are possible causes and remedies, and what's the likelyhood this will happen again? p.s. My heart is very healthy.
Avatar m tn I have always been a very active person but my heart rate has always been a bit high 80s at rest and 90s walking. Almost 2 months ago I became very ill and made a short visit to the ER feeling terrible with a heart rate of 150. Because I was outside the day it happened, the emergency department wrote it off as heat exhaustion. After blood labs, a chest x-ray, ekg, thyroid check and A1c, my pcp finally said that it must have been a virus of some kind.
1674823 tn?1307263620 s the initial drop that is important regarding cardiac health. No, you will not have a resting heart rate after 10 minutes after doing hard exercise (heart rate >150). For some reason, I have a higher heart rate 10 minutes after running/jogging with a heart rate of say 160 bpm, than walking 7 km/h at 10 degrees incline which gives the same heart rate. I don't know why, maybe it's the fact that I'm still afraid of running..
Avatar m tn ve been a competitive athlete most of my life and ever since I suffered heat exhaustion a month ago, I experience very rapid heart rate, fatigue and dizziness when even sitting sedentary in a hot environment. Never experienced this before in my lifetime. No matter how much I hydrate beforehand, my body is reacting adversely while exposed to the heat.
Avatar f tn Yes Heat bothers me quuite a bit (well 90 degree and over) I get panicky....headaches...I feel sick to my stomach. Its not unusual.
Avatar f tn my boys heart heat was 150 my Dr said it is normal.
Avatar m tn The only way to keep co up is via increased sv or hr. So basically co( cardiac out put)= stroke volume ( amount of blood for each pump) x heart rate. I think in your case totally benign.
Avatar f tn Sounds normal to me and 170 is a great heart rate!! Congrats!!
Avatar f tn Blood pressure is more of a concern than heart rate below 160 beats per minute. If you are not on blood pressure medicine, you should make an appointment with your doctor to get on some or at least talk to your doctor about what you have been noticing with your blood pressure. If your blood pressure is this resting, then what is it when you are moving around and working?
Avatar m tn I feel as though I get hot flashes every time my heart increases pulse rate. This problem started suddenly with no other health concerns or symptoms. any small increase in pulse rate makes me look as though I am seriously embarrassed. being embarrassed is not the case, cause sometimes it just happens for no reason at all. Any takers? This discussion is related to Hot body temperature.
771913 tn?1343331188 4 miles per hour the last 3 minutes. My heart rate got up to 165+. He said I had a low normal threshold for exercise. He said he wanted to put me on a two week monitor which I put on last week. It malfunctioned on Friday so I did not wear it over the weekend while they are sending me a replacement. Saturday my boys both had football games. I was out in the heat coaching for one of the games during the hottest part of the day. My heart rate got up and of course I got sunburned a bit.
484583 tn?1230605092 Recently while in the hospital my heart rate during sleep was down to 30 beats /min. Also, during sleep my heart stopped for 2.5 seconds. What is your opinion regarding these two findings? Nuclear Stress test, ECG, and echocardiogram (mild mitral regurgitation) were normal.
Avatar m tn Possibly because your heart rate increases and also your blood pressure.
Avatar f tn I feel feverish every night but chilled under heat blanket and heart rate fast.. its been going on for two weeks now.
Avatar m tn You need a cardiac assessment for conditions like heart blocks where the heart rate is decreased causing hypotension as a result. Anemia could also be a cause for dizziness and shortness of breath on walking but there should be accompanying tachycardia in that case. Do you have any diabetes mellitus, vitamin B12 deficiency? Certain other conditions need to be ruled out as a cause for autonomic neuropathy and hence causing this hypotension and bradycardia.
Avatar f tn I have told my heart doctor many times that heat seems to be what set my heart off the most....leading up to my hospital stay, anytime I used the blow dryer on my hair my heart would get out of rhythm so bad that I would have to drop and not move for fear of passing out... Even now, if I get to hot in the shower or outside my heart gets out of rhythm....not as bad as it use to but it still does it...I hate the feeling and I hate having tovworry about it happening..
Avatar n tn My first daughter her heat rate was 150s and my second child was in the 140s and she's a girl so I feel it's all up in the air for the heart rate being a boy or girl thing...
Avatar m tn For example, in the recent past when I had sinus heat rate my heart rate at rest would be about 60 bpm. Now with AFib it is in the high 70s to 80s.
