Avatar m tn Hi, It's Fuad & I am 21 male. I am concerned about my heart. my heart beats faster then average people. I feel like my heart is weaker. When it starts bit beat fast, I feel a bit uneasy. It appears when I smoke, after having meal, getting angry, sometimes when I try to sleep & think about a bad experience of the day. I tried to cure it by exercise, but it seems it gets worse. I am 5 feet 11 at height & weight 52 kilograms. I have some bad habits.
Avatar n tn Well, yestertday my son stayed after school to get his sports physical and during that time we were told that the doctor hear a heart murmur. Now this makes me feel like a awful parent because during fall ball Andrew complained of a chestpain and said he just felt different. I just thought he maybe over worked himself and gave him some cold water and told him to take a break. He has never complained of anything else but I still feel awful. How common are these heart murmurs?
Avatar m tn I think it was palpitations, it was a feeling pretty hard to explain, sorta like the heart skipped beats and my breathe was getting taken away. Being the nervous person I am, I started thinking the worst case scenario. It was like that for about 10 min(maybe less, but I felt it so long). Afterwards it calmed down, my heart felt normal and I was calmed. I went to the doc just to make sure everything was fine. He checked me and everything and all was ok.
Avatar m tn Does anyone know of support groups or other associations that deal with teens who have heart conditions and sports. My nephew has a congenital heart defect (had surgery as a kid) and now his cardio doc says he is OK. He has played other sports like baseball and roller hockey (minimum contact). However, his big wish is to play football at the high school level. His doc is concerned about the training involved may be too much for him...
Avatar f tn Follow your heart wherever it takes you and be happy. Life is brief and very fragile and only loaned to us for awhile. Wake up every morning with the thought that something wonderful is about to happen.
Avatar f tn as I know alot of my MH friends are as well... I thought it would be cool to get some of our favorite quotes in one place.... So, here's my first favorite and I'm sure I will post others later.... Can't wait to see yours as well... " If you can't convince them, confuse them!" -HARRY S.
Avatar f tn I Heard That Certain Sports Are Okay During Pregnancy I Was Wondering If Volleyball Is One ?
Avatar f tn I'm not much of a sports fan or sports person but I'll watch it. I can't get around sports cuz I'm surrounded by guys (my many brothers, dad & bf) and everyone knows when sports are on you don't distract men. lol I like soccer. I used to watch it for C.Ronaldo but then I got tired of his cockiness. I'm usually repulsed my people who think they're just so great and sadly that's found sooo much in sports.
Avatar m tn Does anyone with GAD generalized anxiety disorder, play any sports?? I plaay soccer but most of the time are afraid. Can anyone relate to this?
Avatar f tn I have Grave's Disease and it weakened my heart to the point that the doctors refuse to remove my thyroid because I risk going into cardiac arrest. Now they are also worried that even though I have been taking my medications that it is not working and I may also have developed atrial fibrilation.
Avatar f tn He also feels like his heart is going to jump out of his chest. He has not played sports in over a year, so I am not sure to be worried about his heart or if he just needs to build up his stamina. He is a healthy child (4 ft 11in and weighs about 72 lbs). He is a healthy eater. Does not eat junk food or enriched/processed foods. I am concerned mostly due to the fact that I (his mother) have supraventricular tachycardia (fast heart rate).
Avatar f tn I agree that he should be able to play sports if the dilation is mild. After saying that I would also steer him away from the sports that he would not be able to play if the aorta dilates further. For example: Football, Wrestling, contact sports This is why I say that. My son was diagnosed with BAV and dilated aortic root at the age of 13 1/2. He was in 8th grade.
