Avatar m tn Since June of 2014, I have had a problem yawning. Whenever I feel a yawn coming on, I open my mouth, and when I reach the peak of my yawn, it suddenly goes away leaving me unsatisfied. Then, this happens about every 10 seconds until something comes around to get my mind off of it. This has been happening since June. This is the main problem, but since around then as well, I have some kind of post nasal drip issue going on.
Avatar n tn I'm a 20 year old female, 115 lbs. 5'2". I've never been seriously ill and have a pretty clean family history when it comes to health (aside from my mother who has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy). The only problems I have are really bad anxiety and panic attacks that I take medication for (though I still get panic attacks pretty frequently).

Avatar m tn I have fluttering in my sternum. Heart palpitations. I assume, but have been told they are not an issue. I am exerted very easily. Takes very little to get me winded. I always feel like I cannot get a deep enough breath. I have been diagnosed with anxiety/panic attacks. I am on zoloft daily and ativan as needed. It seems to be well under control now. Have not had a panic attack on 5-6 months now, but these esophageal symptoms have gotten no better. Heart cath was good.

Avatar n tn The other thing is, yesterday I had an episode where I felt really light-headed, exessive yawning and I think I was having ectopics at that time. I know it's happened b4 in the past but, what is this? Any help please, its greatly appreciated!
Avatar f tn Have you been checked by a doctor on your yawning and fast (how fast at rest?) heart beats? It may be that the yawning isn't related to any physical need. Can you somehow get your mind off of thing about when the next yawn is coming and see if they come less frequently? Maybe a good movie or some physical activity is "strong" enough to test if the yawn in mental or physical driven. Talks with your parents.

After that i had to go back to the emergency room a couple of times with palpitations, chest pains, dizziness, blurred vision etc. my doc told me i had anxiety. Since then the symptoms have been increasing. i was taking ativan, which was not doing much good, and my doctor put me on lexotanil(bromazepam) and propranolol.

Avatar m tn Hello, I am not a doctor (despite my screen name). I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 13 and have been told that recent symptoms may be related to it, but I am skeptical. I am in my 20's now and last year developed severe eye pain and dryness and was told after an ultrasound that my retinal nerve was inflamed. After prednisone treatment it has improved.

Avatar f tn I've had heart palpitations for 10 months, they started right after a hiatus hernia operation. I get them everyday. I get them at different times, while watching tv or just relaxing in bed, doing normal everyday things. I had blood work done and was told I was low on B12 and was told to take 1000 mcg of a supplement daily. While taking it the palpitations got stronger so I stopped taking it and they eased up.
Avatar f tn he said the test results were likely just a fluke in the test and has not investigated further! My problem lately has been that Ive been yawning a lot for about a month straight now and the past few days have even had sharp pains that last only a few seconds (but occur randomly every few minutes) at least once in a 10 minute period.

Avatar m tn I started noticing heart palpitations when I graduated college. It seems like my palpitations are getting worse and have now flat lined. So I do not sense that the palpitations are getting worse. I visited my doctors about them and they put me on a holter monitor and they didn't have a solution for my heart palpitations. So they decided to put me on beta blocker (Lowest Dose- Half of 25MG), which has helped a lot with my heart palpitations. I can now exercise without any palpitations.
Avatar n tn Always needing to catch my breath, excessive yawning, but also light-headedness (likely due to hyperventilation), abdominal discomfort, heart palpitations and anxiety/worrying about my heart/breathing. I also notice these symptoms while doing something relaxing like going for a casual walk, laying in bed, sometimes right from when i wake up in the morning. I usually feel better when i go for a run or exercise.
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm a 27 year old female, who just recently started having heart palpitations. I've had EKG's and an echo cardiogram, but my cardiologist says it's stress induced. She also told me to avoid caffeine and alcohol, get lots of sleep and drink lots of water. I've been pretty good about all of those things, trying to reduce stress in my life, but I've felt palpitations everyday for the past 3 and a half months, since the day they started.
Avatar f tn Heart palpitations are common in pregnancy because of your increased blood volume. It also can be related to amemia..anxiety. .etc.I hope you feel better.
Avatar m tn I have what seem to be very strange heart palpitations, a "normal" palpitation would be just a sudden "skipped" beat feeling but for me, sometimes not always, i have what feels like a skipped beat and then my heart rhythm feels "off" or if its fluttering for sometimes up to 5-10 minutes then my heart thumps and everything goes back to normal.
