458072 tn?1291415186 I had those horribly. Went to my Cardio Dr and said I had the heart of a teenager!! Go over to the Heart Rhythm forum and Connie will help you with any questions. I go there and have found my palps are harmless. Also, caffeine, laying on your left side, stress, eating too large of a meal, hot baths etc.. can all trigger these annoying things. I know my triggers and when I became aware, they are stopping!! I hope I helped alittle.
Avatar m tn I read an article about athletes and runners having regular heart palpitations. I guess you just have to make sure you have sufficient time warming up before you run and take time to cool down. I have ventricular ectopic beats myself which comes in waves too. I'm 20 and having the second wave now and it irritates me! Went to a doctor to have it checked and she said it's benign but i'm still pretty worried about it sometimes.
Avatar f tn I would ask why the right side of your heart is having to work so hard, so hard that it has become enlarged as a result. You have a slight leak in your tricuspid valve, but is the leak sufficient to cause the heart to over work? The right side of your heart basically pumps blood returned from the body through the Lungs and back to the left side. So any narrowings along the route can cause issues too. So, basically you want to know what tests they intend to run to establish the problem.
450439 tn?1249233238 I have been told several times that my heart is structurally normal and that my pvc's and pac's are all benign... So I have decided to start working out... First question, is it okay to get pvc's or pac's while working out? Second question, as I start lifting heavier weights, I start feeling dizzy, heart pounding and short of breath...is this abnormal? Should I question my cardiologist further? I just finished wearing another 30 day monitor...but when I sent the recordings in..
Avatar f tn Is anyone having heart palpitations ? I'm on week nine of treatment. Taking victrelis triple. Last time i had blood work they said everything was normal but my hemoglobin was low but that was normal and my palpitations could be due to that. Lately they have been lasting for hrs some times almost all day. I seen my nurse about two week ago now.
Avatar f tn heart rate (beats per minute) and if irregular, describe how: e.g., some extra beats that are regular, or not regular as the case may be. I'm not saying answering these questions will enable me to give more help, but it may help others identify with your symptoms and then be able to share more of their experience.
Avatar f tn s and even an Echogram of my heart. Everything looks normal except the upper left chamber of the heart is slightly enlarged. (I'm 60 years old, so I guess this partly due to aging). I take it this is not something to be concerned about because otherwise my primary care doctor at the VA would have referred me to the heart specialist.
Avatar n tn strong heart palpitations, increased blood pressure, nausea, dizziness, urgent need to have a bowel movement. These attacks last about 10 -15 minutes. I am not sleeping well which causes the fibromyalgia symptoms to reappear ( I can control symptoms with proper sleep) because I am afraid that I will have a heart attack in my sleep and not wake up. The doctors do not seem to be too concerned as the pain is fleeting and I have no shortness of breath.
Avatar f tn hi. I am 13 years old and I am having frequent heart palpitations. Yesterday, I had about 11 of them. Two times, it happened that i had one just 2 seconds after another. Then the others were just randomly. I go to the cardiologist once a yeaar becasue of a heart murmur. I already had the holter monitor on, and ekg's and echo's. Last time I went to the cardiologist was last December.
Avatar n tn I'm a 20 year old female, 115 lbs. 5'2". I've never been seriously ill and have a pretty clean family history when it comes to health (aside from my mother who has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy). The only problems I have are really bad anxiety and panic attacks that I take medication for (though I still get panic attacks pretty frequently).
Avatar f tn Can you have palpitations with hypo and hyper thyroid? How long do you have to be on synthroid to start noticing a difference?
Avatar m tn I am a 19 year old male, 6feet 220 pounds. I was less active in the past but have currently started jogging, etc. The last 2 - 3 weeks or so I've been noticing some weird things going on with my heart. The most prominent being palpitations. I'll notice my heart beat is very faint but when I check my pulse it is perfectly normal. Is this something to be concerned about?
994817 tn?1249738278 I get extremely intense palpitations and chest pain every day now. A little less then two months ago on June 19th 2009 I had my first panic attack. I went to Urgent Care and got a chest x-ray and an EKG. I thought something utterly terrible was wrong, but everything came back normal. They said it was all caused by anxiety. Well all symptoms pretty much went away for a while until July 25th, when I had my second panic attack.
Avatar f tn s my problems. About a month or so, I started having what I think to be palpitations or maybe PVCs. It freaked my out! It always happens at nighttime. And then a holter monitor which I wore for 24 hours with a few symptoms.im still awaiting the results of that. But Lately, in the past weeks I've been worried as heck!

Avatar n tn ve just been diagnosed with Hypothyroidism - it all started with heart palpitations, I was starting to think I had a heart problem. Doctor took bloods and ECG, said heart was fine - thyroid was normal to low - it took him ages to give me Levothyroxine, I started off taking 50 mcg now it's been put up to 75 mcg - heart palpitations are less frequent, but I'm easily tired.
Avatar n tn It appears you are having heart palpitations and there many things that can cause palpitations. Some causes of heart palpitations include the following that are not heart related and without further information such as medical history, prior test results, etc to exclude a heart condition but I assume you are at a younger age group. Only your doctor can provide a credible diagnosis. "Non-heart-related causes.

Avatar f tn It is hard to have VT because the heart has to either have scar tissue or other factors. If your heart does not have those things then having palpitations that are deadly, well.... lets just say those chances are way too slim to even worry about.
