Avatar n tn I wouldn't get an epidural in my lower back for the birth of my kids! I can not seems to make the appointment to have them stick a needle into my spine through my NECK! Again I am sorry that you are in so much pain and are holding such a high tolerance to pain meds. Have you ever considered that the pain may be in your head? It is possible that you have built up such a tolerance and require much higher meds that you have mentally made the pain worse than it is?

560501 tn?1383616340 even though the baby had me awake for about an hour at 3am) and made the kids/hubby breakfast, then went out for a brisk walk for 30 minutes. I walked 3/4 of a mile. Tomorrow I have an appointment with my neuro. A follow up from the vertigo and steroids. I'm not sure what to expect from that. Not much else going on this week. Trying to keep my enthusiasm for the daily walks up. Cleaning, playing with the kids, cooking...lather, rinse, repeat :-) Hope everyone has a great week!
Avatar m tn • Floaters heaps and big • Complex basilar artery migraine - visual and neurological symptoms only • Happening for almost twenty years now - no real improvement or medical diagnosis Some relief with Dilantin for migraine 100 mg - had to stop after 12 years as was causing rapid heart beat and Dilantin causes increased urination freq. With other male problems this was becoming an issue but it did work on many of the problems – not all.
254689 tn?1251183640 I noticed it a few days ago but wasn't sure if it was just the formula but since it has gotten significantly worse, I'm calling his dr Monday. Bless his heart - he's still eating okay but I think it's made him fussy (like he needs a reason - ha, ha). His overstimulation continues. He fights sleep like no other - in fact it reminds me of myself. My mil told me today that my dh was a lot like that. Great - he got it from both sides.
Avatar m tn http://news.aol.com/article/ap-impact-liver-disease-plagues-obese/163691?cid=12 (continued) Specialists say many kids diagnosed with fatty liver disease come to subsequent checkups heavier, and at best, just one in four loses significant weight, the only treatment known to stop and even reverse the disease. "My patients that are successful, the whole family has bought in," increasing exercise and changing diet, said Dr.
716841 tn?1289951786 Are you stable and mature enough to guide yourself? Are you playing any games with my parents around independence for it's own sake? Would anyone else be going to his state with you, perhaps a friend who could keep you seeing things straight (if that's what you actually want)? 5. What do you really know about this guy? What's his character “track record?” Have you done a history of his behaviors with other people? Talked to people about how he usually handles himself with women?
519226 tn?1378994921 We worked hard for everything we have and never asked her or anyone else for anything. She has deep psychological issues for sure, but will never go for help, since she says "it's everyone else, not her that has the problem". She thinks there is nothing wrong with her. In addition, she is extremely paranoid, thinking that everyone is scheming against her or talking about her. (That's probably because that is what SHE does!
192055 tn?1263559137 I found an amazing heart surgeon that was willing to do my surgery- no if's and's or but's about it! When he first cut me open, the doc found the muscle just floating around (The muscle that held my joint together. He drilled a hole in my collarbone...took one of my neck muscles and wrapped it around my collarbone and rib to hold it in place, to make my SC joint a stable joint. The surgery went well- as in it IS a stable joint.... ALTHOUGH I am having some complications.
1408746 tn?1283678948 I just recently had a major surgery for something called Nutcracker Syndrome. This Syndrome results most commonly from the compression of the left renal vein between the abdominal aorta (AA) and superior mesenteric artery (SMA), although other variants exist.[1][2] The name derives from the fact that, in the sagittal view, the SMA and AA (with some imagination) appear to be a nutcracker crushing a nut (the renal vein).

Now I have pain on the right side (tumor was left frontal). I had to start the Vicodin again to ease the pain but have to tolerate the nausea. How do you know if your brain is swelling? So many questions and no answers....
1349329 tn?1276988802 Hi, I've been posting on the Substance Abuse Forum so I thought I'd come and have a peek at the Social Forum and tell everyone (I know you can hardly wait) a little more about myself that does "NOT" have to do with Drug Addiction. I grew up in San Franciso, and I have to say I think it was the best place to grow up in.
233488 tn?1310696703 It is important for him to follow up regularly with his ophthalmologist for a dilated retina and peripheral retina exam. He should see the Eye MD immediately with sudden increase of floaters, flashes or loss of peripheral vision. You need to ask he surgeon specifically about activity. As a generalization return to golf and tennis would be allowed by most surgeons after 7-10 days.
Avatar n tn If all of you whose heart is like mine will pray for us I will be praying for you all as well. What is the success rate of reversal for cliped and burned reversal?
131817 tn?1209532911 a little cosmetic work by finding a medical excuse for it. I've been a Kaiser patient for a quarter of a century, and yes, sometimes I've had to request a procedure several times before they caved in, but they have always caved in. I'm told that Kaiser is run differently than any other HMO in that their doctors are salaried and therefore find no advantage in denying care because their paychecks remain the same.
Avatar n tn ONe night we were going out to a dance and I was spending the afternoon getting the kids ready for the sitter etc when I felt it coming on again. I had had it!!! I threw myself on the bed and yelled, "Come on, come and get me! You *%@#* come on and make me faint or lose it, I don't give a damn! I know it won't make me die so come on and do your thing!!! I just laid there and suddenly felt it all going away. I'd beat the monster down!
Avatar f tn I'm glad you stopped by here, Mary Lou, and you're welcome to stay as long as you like. As long as you're here, you might as well JOIN this forum. I'll explain more about that below, but for now, let's have a look at the situation you describe. I'm assuming your 25 year old son is financially independent and NOT living with you.
Avatar n tn There's no way anyone would excuse me if I were a constant jerk toward my kids right now. And I don't think the TX can be an excuse for your husband to make your life miserable. One thing I learned from this TX is that I am strong and I am a adult with responsibilities for those I love. If your husband was a good enough guy before TX, you oughta give him a chance and some support to get some expert help (from a doctor or therapist or minishter or whatever).
Avatar f tn I've recovered really well, except for the incredibley ugly belly, it still looks like a piece of bad modern art - definately no striptease classes for me!!!! I've at last got a provisional date for my big operation - it doesn't seem over 6 months since we had our operations, time flies! Lisa.
343765 tn?1202526132 Amy, Thanks for the words of encouragment. Yes I am a praying person and sometimes I think that God gets so tired of me saying,"God it is me again"!! I know that if we call upon him he is there. I truly believe that. By the way I did go take a movie right after I posted. I went to 27 Dresses. It was really good and I didn't notice as many of the little "DEMONS" while I was there.
