Heart murmur from anemia

Common Questions and Answers about Heart murmur from anemia

Avatar f tn Most murmurs can only be heard with the assistance of a stethoscope. A murmur may be heard in a normal heart, and may not necessarily caused by a structural defect in the heart itself. Murmurs may also be the result of various problems, such as narrowing or leaking of valves, or the presence of passages between chambers of the heart. Elevated blood pressure may not be related to the murmur.

Avatar f tn re anxious, after excersise, fever or severe anemia. But you should also let it checked because heart murmur can be a sign of significant heart disease, but it's really less like for you since it's very uncommon for young people to have it.
Avatar f tn Flow murmurs can occur with conditions like anemia, which can also cause tachycardia. If it a leaky valve murmur, there could be different clinical outcomes. If this is mild, it may not need any therapy now. As you have been investigated, discuss all the possibilities with your doctor and clear your doubts. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn And at random my heart will beat faster or will slow down and will beat hard for a few beats. I do have anemia, and when I was little(1-4 years of age) the doctors said i had a heart murmur. I'm 16, 5'2" 95-103lb(my weight changes alot) I don't get stressed that often I do work out. And so I was wondering if i should be worried and is there any heart diseases that I could have.
Avatar f tn Years ago my GP worried about my inverted T wave, though I have recently read that the position of the electrode is one possible explanation. I have always had a slight heart murmur from the mitral valve. Several years ago my atrial and ventricular rhythm got out of sync so I had a pacemaker installed in a hurry. The mitral valve suddenly took a turn for the worse a couple of years ago, which may have been attributable to an unrecognized rotting tooth.
Avatar n tn These murmurs do not typically cause any problems with pregnancy. Furthermore, probably due to anemia, you had a flow murmur, which may come back when you get pregnant again, however, again, it is absolutely benign in nature.
Avatar f tn m a 17 y/o female diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse (with heart murmur) about a year ago. This morning my heart started to skip beats pretty frequently. It's causing light headedness, my legs feel like they will give way at times, and I dropped a bowl because I felt it in my hand suddenly and couldn't keep my grasp on it. It's been 3 hours.
1227909 tn?1267853479 My husband is a geno 1 also, currently on his 68th week of treatment. He not only has a heart murmur, he has cardiac artery disease, but it did not prevent him from treating (once he passed the EKG and stress-test). Nonetheless, it would be very important for your treating doctor to be aware of your murmur and monitor your blood counts closely.
Avatar f tn Yeah - pretty sure a quintuple bypass would require the surgeons to have unfettered access to the heart. As for the murmur - your quintuple bypass gave new pathways to arteries that feed blood to your heart. A murmur occurs from blood flowing through a heart valve, either on it's way into your ventricles, or on it's way to your lungs and the rest of your body. Though the valves are in close proximity to the transplanted bypass veins, they shouldn't have much to do with the murmur.
Avatar f tn The doctor even says my iron is great I don't know what a heart murmur is but the doctor said I have it .. is that bad?
Avatar f tn Top number was 148 and low number ranged from 60 to 89 , tested 3 times. Doc listened to heart and heard a slight murmur. He then did an EEG and it came back unconfirmed. His vent was 93 bpm, rr interval was 640 ms, pr interval was 126 ms, qrs duration was 90 ms, qt interval was 330 ms, qtc interval was 387 ms, qt dispersion was 72 ms and prt axis was 123 52 3. It says sinus rhythm and extensive t wave changes. His notes say premature chd and EKG st changes with suggestion of lvh noted.
Avatar n tn I've had a murmur for decades and never experienced any heart pain.
Avatar n tn In 2007 I had kidney failure and never went to see a doc due to not having insurance. I now have a heart murmur. I went to see my primary doc to see if i should get an agiogram, he said not to go now but wait till you get insurance and get it done. I wont have insurance for another 2 years due to pre-existing conditions. Im worried that I may in fact have a coronary block and should go get it looked at. Is this a common situation seen in kidney failure patients.
Avatar n tn Hi, I have a 9 wks old kitten that has a "small heart murmur" and the vet says that's the reason why her belly is huge. That she's not ingesting the food properly or it "flows back from her heart" (not sure i understand that one entirely). From what i'v read though, i would think heart murmur only starts creating fluids (swelling) once it's developedinto actual heart failure.
Avatar f tn I am a 26 year old female. I recently had an echo because my doctor heard a murmur. The results came back that I had a small pfo, mild mitral valve regurg, moderate tricuspid valve regurg, and mild pulmonic insufficiency. My EF was 55%. My aortic valve was trileaflet. I had gone in to the doc originally for fatigue. I had my second child 7 months ago. I had slight anemia at the time the doctor heard the murmur.
Avatar n tn When I was your age I use to have a chest pain, my mom took me to a doctor and all they could find was a little heart murmur which was caused by anemia. It wasn't a big deal and murmur disappeared with time. Chest pain stopped for some time but it always came back, so, I assume it was never caused by anemia. They just didn't know that I could suffer from anxiety. I didn't even know, I suffer from anxiety for so long I can't even remember.

Now this makes me feel like a awful parent because during fall ball Andrew complained of a chestpain and said he just felt different.
