Avatar f tn I'm not a full vegetarian so I get protien from dairy. Beans good source. Nuts too. About 10 yrs ago I started eating fish too. So now I don't eat meat like chicken beef or pork. I eat a lot of vegetable soup to maintain/ lose weight. Plus drink tons of water. That helps food cravings.

Avatar n tn These can be easily made vegetarian. Use a low fat cream of (mushroom/celery/chicken/etc.) soup and add desired veggies, spices, and cheese. Put it in the oven on 400F/200C for 15-20 minutes until the pastry is done. If you like the veggies soft- cook before hand, otherwise they're a little more chew but not exactly hard. Personally I go for a can of condensed low sodium tomato soup and add heaps of fresh basil and garlic. So really this will work with most soups.

Smart n Final or any restaurant supply has a high quality chicken,vegetable,or beef bouillon in a glass jar that's very potent & low sodium. Make a huge pot & put meal size portions in freezer. Each week make a different recipe. For smoothies,do the same.

Eating a cup of soup before a meal will help you eat less during the meal, as will eating a small apple, drinking a glass of water or vegetable juice. Losing weight "immediately" is nearly impossible, so just start on a good healthy diet and stick with it. It will take longer to lose the weight, but you'll do it in a healthy manner.
