Avatar f tn I am a 37-year-old Caucasian woman who comes from a family with a history of heart disease & diabetes. My maternal grandmother died of a heart attack at 61, my maternal grandfather had 2 non-fatal heart attacks and a mild stroke in his sixties/seventies. I grew up with horrible eating habits: virtually no vegetables, lots of fried food, large quantities. I have done Weight Watchers off and on most of my adult life (since age 20), but have gone years in between being on the program.
485620 tn?1208680239 try Curves for fitness and try weight watchers, I love them both. I dont do weight watchers but I eat their fodos and they are very tasty and Curves is a simple 30 minute workout any mom can make time for,I should know I have 2 boys under 2 and workout there everyday while hubby watches the little ones.
Avatar f tn Has anyone done this diet and seen the results they were looking for? I'm very interested in Weight Watchers and would like to hear people's experiences to know I'm not going to wasting my time and money..... Any responses are welcome. THANKS.
Avatar f tn I am 48 yrs. I have a untreated micro pititatruy tumor & I am over weight & now on weight watchers. I am being treated for cholesterol & high bp. Lately while doing simple things like taking a shower or dressing I have been sweating profusely & my heart rate is at 110. I thought maybe menopause but not so sure any more. My BP is perfect.
Avatar f tn 3 years ago, following the death of my mother, my weight shot up and so i joined weight watchers. i successfully lost 2 1/2 stone. since then i have gained a stone back and so i rejoined weight watchers in Feb of this year. Since then, i have stayed exactly the same weight. 3 months ago my doctor kindly put me on to Orlistat, but even then the weight didn't shift.

649848 tn?1534633700 I’ve tried several different tactics, but have mostly opted for lifestyle changes that I can stick with, because of health issues that are actually causing my weight problem. These health issues include hypothyroidism and insulin resistance, along with probable absorption issues.
20826041 tn?1525217495 Then when I met my current girlfriend when we went on foreign dating events we became quite careless about our physical looks and our health. We’ve been eating unhealthy food and it has taken its toll on me. I’ve gained about 150 lbs over the last 3 years through an unhealthy lifestyle and I truly want to lose weight. These days, I’ve become more conscious not just about my health but also about how I look. I don’t look bad especially since I’m quite tall.
Avatar f tn as you all said befor im not getting the cals i need to lose weight and that is because im scared to eat so i belive maybe weight watchers will help that please tell me what you think my mother inlaw is doing weight watchers and seems to be doing pretty well please help
Avatar f tn I went to my Internal Medicine doctor and she said that my resting heart rate was 120 bpm, my blood pressure was 169/97, my Triglycerides were over 200 and my Cholesterol was off the charts at 365! So I started Weight Watchers and just celebrated my 3 years of Weight Watchers in 2010 and I have lost just over 165 pounds!
Avatar n tn I have been known to have a resting heart rate between 100-150 bpm, and last year, my heart stopped for a second and then started to beat erratically. My lips have been getting blue with exercise and my pulse ox is normal There is strong heart disease in my family, Nobody can figure this out, and they say it is not coming from the heart.
Avatar f tn s rare so not very likely, but that one has a genetic test. One seems to start in the Lungs and affect the heart while the other starts in the heart.
637356 tn?1301924822 In addition, I have health issues for which the thermogenic drinks could cause severe problems, since they can cause blood pressure and heart rate to rise abnormally, heart palpitations, etc. I am very happy that you have found something that might help you along on your weight loss journey; however, I will, as always caution everyone to make sure they don't have health issues that might be made worse by a diet of this nature.
Avatar m tn This helps me alot maybe now my husband will get off my back about weight watchers . Avatar n tn Ive been a weight watchers member for 9 weeks now and have not lost any weight. Im very frustrated I was diagnosed with Hashimotos/Hypothyroid last Sept and im taking synthroid as a result. My levels were normal ( 1.0) last December. Am i to expect SSLOOOOOOOW results because I am just frustrated. Is there anyone out there that has any suggestions of how im going to loose this weight (15 pounds)??
676912 tn?1332812551 I used weight watchers method to lose the almost 40lbs I gained with Franky. It's basically portion control and food choices. If you want to eat mcdonalds you can, but then that is all you are allowed to eat for the day pretty much...lol. I bought the book set on ebay for $50 I think, and never joined the group just did it on my own. It tells you all the foods points even for restaraunts, and how many you are allowed for your specific body type and goals.
Avatar f tn I assume you have talked with your doctor about it and gotten suggestions, but they haven't worked? The second thing to try because it's available and does work for lots of people is going to Weight Watchers. You aren't obliged to buy the food marketed as "Weight Watchers" meals in the freezer case to do Weight Watchers, it's a good program and has a lot of reinforcement if you go to the meetings and participate.
Avatar f tn I have been doing weight watchers for about a year now and have always been very regular with my bowel movements throughout that time. Earlier this summer, I started slacking in my seriousness about weight watchers and that lasted pretty much all summer until about a week ago. During that time I still was eating a good amount of fiber (fruits, veggies, whole grains, etc) so I was regular during that time.
