Avatar m tn Please do a search under the following : "Πρόγραμμα ελέγχου και εκρίζωσης της βρουκέλλωσης των αιγών και των προβάτων" Underground commerce is prevalent in most parts of the country (I'm in Greece presently), so programs such as the one in the above article, can be implemented satisfactorily only on "legitimate" cattle operations. This may leave a small number of consumers of dairy and meat products (goat and sheep) vulnerable to Brucellosis.
Avatar m tn I am thinking of going to another cardiologist (there are loads in Greece, easier to find than a plumber) - who speaks English instead of me speaking Greek. Doing the tests again and asking if there's any way they can allow me a few months to get my act together (if I don't have anything life threatening) and then take meds if still needed. Please any opinions, advice greatly appreciated.
Avatar m tn 180) with good ration of good/bad cholesterol, absence of any heart disease in both paternal and maternal parents and grandparents and very good results especially in the stress echo reassured him that I DID NOT NEED a treadmill test for now. He also told me that, with hypertensive patients, one is more likely to receive a false positive result, that would subject me to unnecessary extra tests. I would appreciate your experienced take on my case.

They had a few in trial here but most are temporary.

5948831 tn?1377198400 Hi, your symptoms of dizziness could be due to postural hypotension, a condition in which the peripheral arteries dilate, leading to pooling of blood in the peripheries. This in effect causes decreased circulation of blood resulting in dizziness/lightheadedness. This is more pronounced if the person stands up from a lying down position. This is detected by recording the blood pressure recordings in the sitting, standing and lying down positions.
Avatar f tn Normal pulmonary pressure is 15-30. So in theory, you could be classed as hypertensive in the pulmonary system, but not by much at all. Leaks that are trivial and mild are of no real concern. From the report stating that your right atrium and ventricle have reduced in size, I am thinking that they are just back to normal due to past higher hypertension. Yes they can return to a normal size again. Hearts are good at adapting in either direction, so long as the source of the problem is removed.

2086874 tn?1332686494 I ws watching TV one evening and without any warning or symptoms I lost the vision in my right eye. It was plaque in the artery and is not reversible. A few months later though I had some flashes of light and lost the peripheral vision in that eye. (In the beginning it was just the vision in the top portion of my eye. I know it sounds weird, but different areas of the retina see different angles.) Did your vision return?
Avatar f tn Take care, Ken arrhythmias, especially when heart disease is present. In some patients, VEBs are triggered by the same mechanism that gives rise to ventricular tachycardia which can be cured with catheter ablation. In addition, there are recent reports on the use of catheter Ventricular ectopic beats (VEBs) are commonly seen in daily clinical practice. They are largely asymptomatic but can cause upsetting symptoms in some patients. .
Avatar m tn Well, tomorrow the day and we will find out if I have some severely narrowed or obstructed heart arteries/vessels which did not appear in a Heart Cath back in June 2009. The worst narrowing found back then was an 80% occlusion or narrowing in a diagonal. Stenting was deferred.
Avatar f tn t ever know we have heart disease. When his small vessel blocks, which can take many years, or months (nobody can estimate it) then 2 things could happen. He could develop collaterals, but unlikely if they aren't forming already with chest pain. The other outcome will be that heart muscle be suffocated and die in that area and will be unable to give pain.
Avatar n tn Did he attend any cardiac rehab classes? Those can be quite helpful in helping a heart patient (whether heart attack or surgery) regain the confidence they need to live life fully again. Some people have a lingering fear that if they do too much activity, even sexual, that they may damage their heart. Or they feel some depression that they're not "whole" any more and they somehow lose value as a person.
Avatar f tn t present you with any symptoms. The valve between the two right chambers in your heart has a slight leak. However, some of the newer breed of Cardiologists are starting to investigate Mild leaks. The reason is, if an ongoing infection for example is the cause, it can quite quickly turn to moderate, and then severe. Valves are best dealt with at the earliest possible stage.
