The GP told him the consultant will probably tell him he's to have a heart bypass which is worrying him now. Today he came over bad in himself as he has been doing quite a lot, he seems a shadow of his normal self.He gets so fatigued and feels very ill in himself.

There is a history of family heart disease - my husband died 2 years ago at age 49 (complications to bypass surgery) and his father died at age 47. The peditrician is referring us to a cardiologist at Childrens Hospital for evaluation and possibly to put him on medication. My question(s) are: is he to young for medication?
Avatar f tn Did you see that the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) came out with updated recommendations about Lyme disease just last Fall and they say treatment doesn't work beyond the first 2-4 weeks following infection and that treatment for chronic Lyme is not indicated because chronic Lyme disease does not result from persistent infection .
