Avatar m tn Im in early stages of being screened for a new study research for getting healthy cells injected into my heart, had few heart attacks, afib, chf, numerouse stents, started at 36yo and seems every 6 yrs need more stents, took 17 yrs to get cholesterol in ck,stopped smokeing a yr now. Anyway im at this stage and from all research online the cell injection sounds promising, complete procedure is just like getting stents except everythings going on inside the heart itself.
Avatar f tn A month ago she saw a Cardiologist that said she had POTS. He said it happens in young adults. I feel there is something else going on after seeing heart on screen. Could that dangling piece from heart cause a problem.
1049259 tn?1295088478 It is usually quite pronounced in children and young adults, and steadily lessens with age. This can also be present during meditation breathing exercises that involve deep inhaling and breath holding patterns. so safe to say I am healthy and YAYNESS!!!!! Avatar f tn s lung based or not and then talk about the possibility of anxiety related issues - VERY common for young adults.
Avatar n tn My little brother has had various traumatic events related to his heart and breathing. When he was young he choked on a small boiled lolly and then about one or two years ago he had what I beleive were heart palpatations, but he thought it was some sort of 'heart attack'. He is only 8 yrs old and he doesnt understand that it was normal and happens regularly to people.

280234 tn?1532986249 I was wondering if any other young adults have been diagnosed with colon polyps? I'm a 34/f who was recently diagnosed with a 1.1 cm "Tubulovillous adenoma" during a colonoscopy (was seeing blood/mucous in stool for about 6 months). The lab report came back that it was benign, and my GI doctor said follow up with him in 3 years. From what my GI doctor told me, and what I've read about these, they are considered precancerous. Following up in 3 years makes me nervous.
Avatar m tn i also have anxiety issues and do get anxiety symptoms relatively often. i do work out a lot but dont do much cardio, and there is no history of heart disease in my family other than my father who has a murmur, which i dont have. is there a possibility that this may be coronary artery disease this young or just anxiety? it does tend to happen more when im stressed but then again heart issues also cause stress, so which does it sound like?
460830 tn?1347219306 Singulair is used to prevent asthma attacks in adults and children as young as 12 months old. It is also used to relieve runny nose and sneezing caused by allergies in adults and children as young as 6 months old.
5902149 tn?1376877360 However being only 20 they didn’t thick that I could have a cardiac problem, even though I have high blood pressure of which I am medicated for and have a huge family history of heart attacks. My mother, father and their parents have all had heart attacks and my older sister (she is 30) and my uncle have had strokes. So where dose this leave me. Please tell me what you think, should I find another option.
Avatar m tn Yes, she's too young -- these meds aren't approved for people that young, though doctors can prescribe them. Her brain is still developing. These drugs aren't even recommended long-term for adults, so imagine if this becomes, as mentioned above, the med merry go round. I'd stick with therapy and realize that all 13 year olds are nuts in some way that sometimes lasts but usually doesn't.
Avatar f tn I am just wondering, what kind of things could cause VT in a young person with no other health problems except being born with hearing loss, and a young person who is an endurance athlete?

Avatar f tn I am looking for a Cardiologist or Neurologist with experience and interest in following patients with POTS patients who were dx in adolescence and are now young adults and no longer eligible to be seen by their Pediatric docs. I also have two children and a neice with POTS, so I know how hard it is to access good care. Any suggestions? Thank you.
Avatar m tn As fortis said, there are different types and different degrees of murmurs. Quite a lot of them. To learn the implications for anyone of any age, it is necessary to get back to the doc who diagnosed the murmur and ask him/her for much more information.
Avatar f tn ADD / ADHD stimulant medications have been found to cause sudden death in adults with heart conditions. The American Heart Association recommends that all individuals have a cardiac evaluation prior to starting a stimulant. An electrocardiogram is recommended if the person has a history of heart problems. It is necessary that you discuss this with your prescribing physician.
994817 tn?1249738278 Can I have Coronary Artery Disease, Heart Attack, or Heart Disease at such a young age? Did all of the caffeine I drank in my childhood/adolescence possibly have an effect on my heart? And if it did have an effect, is it life threatening? PLEASE, anyone who can give me advice or who goes through the same thing please let me know. Some hope and peace of mind is very much needed.
1130332 tn?1260185416 These episodes come randomly, not having to do with your activeness or stress level, I used to have them in the middle of math class. My doctor put me on a heart monitor for a month, instead of the usual 24 hour ones. After they got the recordings, I was diagnosed with SVT. My doctor, like you, likes to avoid medicine if he can. But without medicine or surgery, the epidsodes will continue. I did not take medicine, I simply decided to have a SVT heart ablation surgery.
Avatar f tn How old is your son? Are these baby teeth or adult teeth? I wouldn't pull any adult teeth unless absolutely necessary. Yes, the wisdom teeth could potentially fill in that space but there are complications with that. As the wisdom teeth come in, they don't move sideways into the space but rather, they tilt in and lean in sideways which causes problems with the jaw bone.
373663 tn?1212949808 I’m so worried these days what might be my problem. I’ve also heard some young adults drop dead of a heart attack knowing they are healthy and fit. There was one time also about 8 months ago while waking up from a nap, my heart pounded fast and hard. It lasted for at least 15 to 20 minutes. I thought I would pass out that day. It was really scary. I also have recurrent insomnia. Meaning from time to time I have problem sleeping.
