Avatar m tn K. im 14 yrs. young and i just had an episode where my heart beat super fast. i was also shaking A LOT from it. did i mention how fast my heart was beating. it happened in class. im at my home now and my parents say its cuz i don't eat or drink enough. i've had this happen before, though it was less severe, and since the first time i've had irregular heartbeat. i used to eat a lot of bad food before but a week or so ago i've tried to start eating better.
Avatar m tn I did some research and found an anxiety attack, can mimick a heart attack,is the intense pain in the chest that lends itself to a heart attack.it is as if a vise is closing around the chest. The other symptoms are pain in the left arm and pain even in the neck area to raised pulse, sweating and dizziness these all can be an anxiety attack as well. But the pain in the chest like a steel band is being tightened seems to be the deciding factor that speaks of a heart attack.
Avatar f tn I get panic about stupid things like my heart would beat really fast when I walk up the stairs and I get anxious that my heart will not stop beating fast, but it always calms down. Or driving in the dark I always get anxious when I drive because I dont want to crash and have my parents yell at me. Well those are my problems. I dont want to go on any anxiety pills, I just need natural ways to calm me down...anyone got any suggestions?

Avatar m tn If you are concerned, have your parents take you to your doctor to be sure, but it is highly unlikely to have anything to do with your heart. Chest pain from your heart is a constant pressure like pain that radiates to your arm, back and throat. It does not change with movement or breathing or by being touched. Heart pains are not normally "on and off", they do not change.
Avatar f tn I believe you should go to the ER and get cardac enzyme blood testing to see if you suffered a heart attack. They will want to run an EKG as well, though I've read they are not ALWAYS an accurate indicator that something's wrong. Heart attacks sometimes present like heartburn in women. Young people can still suffer from heart attack & since you had chest pain last over a minute the second time, that is especially troubling, along with the breathing problem, sweating & fatigue.
994817 tn?1249738278 Can I have Coronary Artery Disease, Heart Attack, or Heart Disease at such a young age? Did all of the caffeine I drank in my childhood/adolescence possibly have an effect on my heart? And if it did have an effect, is it life threatening? PLEASE, anyone who can give me advice or who goes through the same thing please let me know. Some hope and peace of mind is very much needed.
Avatar n tn In fact, in some cases, it seems as though you are suffering a heart attack! Panic attacks typically go away after 15-20 or sooner with medication such as benzodiazeines or just breathing relaxation exercises like pkdonlon alluded. The tingling sensation your nephew is experiencing is also from hyperventilating from a panic attack.
Avatar f tn First of all, I am sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad. Something caused the heart attack like a blood clot or blockage in the artery. I am not sure why the nurse would tell him to quit taking the heart medication. The medication is very important. Did he die of a heart attack? Now, it is important for you to know your cholesterol levels, make sure that you are eating healthy. LDL levels should be 100 or below, HDL for men 40's, for women 50's, triglycerides below 150.
14991338 tn?1447193706 t just occur, they are the result of decades of high blood pressure, smoking or high cholesterol. Anyone can, of course, accidently have a heart attack, but the chance in a young healthy man is about the same as getting hit by an object from space. I would probably worry about 2.000 other things before I would worry about a heart attack at your age and with your healthy lifestyle with lots of exercise.
Avatar m tn Then my anxiety kicked in and i have a big fear of having a heart attack so i stared having these fake symptopms thinking i was having a heart attack but i was so depressed that after a while i didnt even care and actually felt maybe it would be good to die. Sorry this was long but today was terrible i felt bad before but to cry and even wish not to live anymore is bad. I`m too young to be dealing with this.
Avatar f tn and other times lasting up to a week, blurred vision, eye pain, unequal pupils, headaches, dizziness, and loss of appetite. I am only 28 years old and too young to die. Can anyone tell me what might be going on?
1153903 tn?1307740400 then i woke up after like an hour of sleep and my heart was racing in this weird rythymic state that would not slow down. i mean ive had this happen when i drank on the clonazepam but not like this. i thought this was it! i was saying my prayers. i tried walking around got some water breathed u name it. my heart would not slow down. i thought it was going to explode fromt the rate for sure. there was not pain at all.
1000392 tn?1294093912 I think all would agree you are "too" young to have a heart attack. But, I believe it is not impossible for a young person to have heart problems, including rhythm problems. Your doctor agrees, otherwise why would you have been put on a Holter monitor? Unfortunately, rhythm problems can go undetected in a simple 24 hour monitor process, and the lack of a "catch" in any given 24 hours period doesn't dis-prove the existence of a rhythm problem.
Avatar f tn Just because you have a rapid heart rate does not mean you are having a panic attack. Why would you get a panic attack when you just wake up. I can tell yo that I have the numbing at times and the rapid heart rate and I was diagnosed with lyme disease. Do you have any unusual symptoms you passed of as normal or from getting older?
1549915 tn?1294617504 I'm sorry to hear about what you're going through. I myself have had chest pain and pain in my left arm. I kept thinking that it was heart related issues and I felt really scared. Recently last month and for a few months actually. I went to my doctor and he told him how I felt, and he said that it was anxiety and I had chest wall pain most likely from lifting. I'm glad that I got checked out because now I worry less. It's good to know what's going on with your body.
Avatar m tn Hey I'm 18 and have had anxiety, depression, and hypochondria since I was 17. It is normal to feel the way u feel and yes they're linked to anxiety. When I have an attack I usually feel short of breath, have a rapid heartbeat and racing thoughts. Occasionally I will get the feeling that I'm not myself and that this person with the anxiety isn't me. BUT IT IS. Calming down is easier said then done, but having medication and therapy helps.
Avatar m tn Is a 200bpm heart rate during a workout dangerous for a sixteen year old drummer, student, writer and many more from Sydney (Yours Truly?) Furthermore, how common is it statistically to have a heart attack due to a thromboembolism save everything else? Hamed Khatiz.
