Avatar m tn Next time would go to the emergency room where they can do labs and EKG. Cardiac enzymes from a heart attack do not show up till 48-72 hrs after a heart attack so they will need to redo the labs then. Many times heart attacks and strokes are caused from the same thing (clots.
Avatar n tn I agree. when you eat, the digestive system expects the heart to work harder. I had lots of wind before my heart attacks and assumed it was all a stomach problem. Get a specialist to check you out, it's not worth ignoring.
Avatar f tn Performed a ecg and told me I was having a (heart attack) and rushed me to hospital where I had two (cardiac arrest) I was informed this happend because the fat in my artrie that runs down the front of the heart had broken of from the wall and formed a blood clot to repair the wall of the artrie with formed a blockige with was also very high up the artrie and another part of the atrie had collapsed.
Avatar n tn If I was having warning signs of a heart attack would it keep coming and going all day long?? Severe shortness of breath a little nausea cannot take a deep breath then it goes away. Sometimes it lasts all day sometimes only a few minutes. I keep thinking i need to go to emergency then it goes away.
Avatar n tn I went to the ER again a few days later because I was feeling the same signs of when I fainted, like uncomfortable tingling in my arms and chest area, as well as kind of dizzy, and very panic-like. It turns out, it had nothing to with my heart or blood pressure, I was just really wound up and it really effected me, but I felt like something was physically and medically wrong. It came out of nowhere.
Avatar n tn It is a sign of a warning. Being overweight you have much higher standing risk factors. You should lose weight to decrease the risk for heart disease. Use a body mass indicator. Best luck to you! http://www.nhlbisupport.
Avatar f tn Prior to the heart attack Unusual fatigue Changes in sleep patterns Shortness of breath Indigestion Anxiety During the heart attack Shortness of breath Pain in the upper back, shoulder, jaw, or chest Lightheadedness Weakness or fatigue Cold sweat Dizziness   What to do if you think you're having a heart attack If you experience the symptoms above for 5 minutes or longer, take action immediately. Call 911 first, not a friend or family member.
Avatar f tn If it causing you pain when you take a deep breath it sounds more like a pulmonary problem or muscular problem rather than cardiac. Either way, you should have this checked out. Chest pain should never be ignored.
976897 tn?1379167602 Yes, since xmas. I went to my regular Doctor saying how I'd noticed breathing was more difficult and I was having chest pains on the slightest exertion. My fantastic Doctor gave me a inhaler which they use for Asthma, the one where you squirt it and breathe in. Of course this did nothing. I then went to see my cardiologist who said I need an angiogram to see what's going on. As usual, the heart attacks always happen before the appointment arrives.
Avatar f tn I get the same type of attacks, they mimic a heart attack to the letter. I think it's because I know the signs of a heart attack and my mind just uses that against me. I've gone to the hospital and had the workups and everything,,,just to be safe,,,and it always comes back all good.
Avatar f tn m not sure what it is, as I know my mum has always had a weak heart. Could these symptoms possibly be signs of heart disease/heart attack? If you have any suggestions, ideas or advice - please tell me as it would be very much appreciated!
363281 tn?1643235611 I had a very scary evening last night I called 911 because I was having such horrendous back pain that went up my right jaw to my ear. It was the worse pain ever. I was petrified it was a heart attack as women can have heart attack pain in the upper back. The EMT'S we're so nice. They took all my vital signs and did an EKG. My blood pressure was elevated of course as was my heart rate.
15695260 tn?1549593113 Knowing the signs of having a heart attack can literally save your life. There are the classic signs such as chest pain or pressure which is the number one signs as well as jaw pain, sweating, heartburn, shortness of breath, jaw pain, toothache, headache, and nausea and vomiting. Women also often have the signs of lightheadedness, nausea, extreme fatigue, fainting, dizziness, or pressure in the upper back.
Avatar f tn Thank you for the explanation, it does make perfect sense. I used to wonder if it was to do with the area of the heart which had the insufficient blood supply but I've proved that wrong in myself. As my circumflex was cleared, symptoms stayed the same. When my LAD was opened my symptoms have remained the same. I know I'm speaking of angina now, not heart attack, but it's really the same thing but milder (hope you agree).
Avatar f tn My doctor told me it is just the nature of the disorder, and that if the tests come back ok, and you are attempting to lead a healthy lifestyle, then to trust in the results and try to carry on. I know it is hard and scary when we get the physical symptoms. Next time, try to take 5 minutes and do some deep breathing and rationalizing with yourself, asking yourself why you might be feeling anxious, and what is the worst that is going to happen.
Avatar m tn Chest pain at your age which is caused by heart disease, is extremely rare even in children born with congenital forms of heart disease. You would be pretty sick at this point if the pain was heart related. Try and get help for your panic attacks, that will help you to calm yourself down and enjoy your teen years.
Avatar f tn I think structural normal are all your heart size valves and pumping ability are all nornal, and this is usually confirmed by an echo.
460185 tn?1326077772 My hair has been coming out for quite awhile now and there are times when I feel extremely cold but there are also times when I feel extremely hot. I find that I get tired easily and am effected by the weather. In March, I had a heart attack but also wonder if having a thyroid problem might be part of why I feel so tired and "out of it". Are there any other signs of a slow thyroid and if I were to be tested, what kind of test would I ask for?
Avatar n tn When people refer to jaw pain and heart attack where on the jaw is this referring to. Is it lower jaw or up near the cheek on the upper jaw. Is the pain intense or throbbing.
Avatar m tn There would be no external signs of heart attack and the only way to establish the condition of the heart is through autopsy. When my Mother was admitted to emergency, she had no chest pains, no prior problems, and was just short of breath. They told me to return in the morning. When I arrived, they informed me that she had passed away in the night. They assured me before I went home that there was nothing wrong with her heart.
