Avatar n tn Besian Idrizaj was Austrian who played for Swansea City and died in his sleep at his native home in Austria of 'suspected' heart attack. We can't jump to conclusions and presume it was his heart, it could have been a number of things. Let's see what the post mortem reveals.
Avatar m tn I was also very tired all the time. You are young at 42 but you do need to find a way to get checked out. My sister had her heart attack at 45. It's better to know what's going on. It could be stress and stomach issues or it could be heart related. Please keep us up to date on what you find out.
Avatar m tn I'm not a doctor, but I understand people can be having a heart attack and still have a normal or near normal blood pressure. Heart attacks in women don't always include the same/typical symptoms as they do in men. Also, it's fairly common in women that symptoms of a heart attack come and go--so just because the clear up doesn't mean you're not having a heart attack. Better safe than sorry, right? I would seek medical attention immediately. First, take a 325 mg.
Avatar f tn First of all, I am sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad. Something caused the heart attack like a blood clot or blockage in the artery. I am not sure why the nurse would tell him to quit taking the heart medication. The medication is very important. Did he die of a heart attack? Now, it is important for you to know your cholesterol levels, make sure that you are eating healthy. LDL levels should be 100 or below, HDL for men 40's, for women 50's, triglycerides below 150.
Avatar n tn Women do not get the same symptoms as men do with a heart attack, any sign of a heart attack must be taken seriously, do not let a strange symptom like belching throw you off, this too could be a symptom!!
994817 tn?1249738278 Can I have Coronary Artery Disease, Heart Attack, or Heart Disease at such a young age? Did all of the caffeine I drank in my childhood/adolescence possibly have an effect on my heart? And if it did have an effect, is it life threatening? PLEASE, anyone who can give me advice or who goes through the same thing please let me know. Some hope and peace of mind is very much needed.
Avatar n tn I have been told that heart attack symptoms are different in women than in men. What signs should a woman look for?
Avatar f tn I have been told I have a heart murmur and while I was pregnant I was preeclamptic and I had to have several ECG because of fast and irregular heart beats so far I have not been told I have anything wrong with my heart but last night I started having sudden left arm pain in the lower forearm and upper should so I am a little freaked out considering my health history so I am wondering if this could be heart related and if so should I be worried?
Avatar f tn s girl who is dating and in love with a guy who is 60. He is very active in life and really young looking. My question for you is when do men slow down and is it normal for a guy that age to lose his erection during sex. He can be going strong but then boom. It makes me feel like it's me and it makes me feel awful to be honest. Any ideas?
Avatar m tn Do you do sports? If that's the case it's common in young men to feel muscle pain. You can then try magnesium, one sachets a day. Talk with your doctor about it.
Avatar f tn You are extremely young for developing a serious heart condition. In addition, you do not describe any significant risk factors that is history of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, smoking, family history of premature heart disease. With an absence of any risk factors and your age, it is very unlikely that you suffer from a heart condition.
14991338 tn?1447193706 However, I do believe people greatly underestimated the age range people can have a heart attack. Many seem to think it happens around 60-70, when in fact people should start worrying about it in their 40s. Sigh.
Avatar m tn I did some research and found an anxiety attack, can mimick a heart attack,is the intense pain in the chest that lends itself to a heart attack.it is as if a vise is closing around the chest. The other symptoms are pain in the left arm and pain even in the neck area to raised pulse, sweating and dizziness these all can be an anxiety attack as well. But the pain in the chest like a steel band is being tightened seems to be the deciding factor that speaks of a heart attack.
1814992 tn?1316890851 Doctor checked only my blood pressure which was normal and refused to do further checking of heart , telling that I might be very young to have heart attack. Please , help me to understand this symthoms... Thank You in advance!
Avatar m tn HI The good news is there is no damage to your heart muscle, which means the things you read on the internet do not apply to you. Those statistics normally relate to people who have dead heart muscle from a heart attack. Your latest echo proves your muscle is fine. You seem surprised that this has happened at your age. It is becoming more common now. When I was 46 I had my first blockage, but others were seen during the angiogram which had been there for many years.

429700 tn?1308007823 My 38 female friend had a heart attack and really had a hard time convincing ER staff that she was indeed having a heart attack. Just because she was young and female. She wound up having open heart surgery with a quad bypass, so NEVER take chest pain for anything like indegestion or a muscle strain, it COULD BE a heart attack.
Avatar n tn My Husband had angiogram found blockage in artery in the heart - so inserted a stent - he is okay but still in hospital in the cardiac icu for observation should be discharged tomorrow -- waiting for blood tests as well.He says he already feels better i hope this has opened his eyes now and will look after his heart now.
Avatar f tn If you have no history of depression it seems likely to me there is some physiological reason for the symptoms you describe. I would suggest another more proactive step, and that is to go to a diagnostic clinic like Mayo, Cleveland, or a university hospital where you can be evaluated by a team of specialists. If you are not making progress in your health, then your doctor treating you now should be very willing to make a referral. If not, do it on your own.
4420668 tn?1354323254 Yes, at 29 you are a low risk. Chest pains that are sharp in nature are not normally heart related. Plus, swelling in one limb and not bilaterally is not normally a symptom of a systematic disease. It is probably due to an injury in that leg. With your history, accept the good test results as accurate and be very diligent about checking your cholesterol every year and keep an eye on your BP.
Avatar m tn There may be other factors contributing to heart attack, particularly one occurring in such a young person? Maybe something congenital? Insulin is 100% necessary to a type 1 diabetic. I doubt it was the insulin.
Avatar m tn I was feeling a little under the weather in december and was having a heart time breathing. i think i was having a panic attack because thats what the nurse said.
