There is soo many different things you can do with them., My husbands favorite is wheat wrap, then spread cream cheese on it (you can do low fat), and sprinkle some garlic powder on the cream cheese, spinach leafs, then turkey, rolled up. Sooo good, sounds a little weird but it's really good!

Avatar n tn It might help you lose weight, depending on how small the portions are, but it's not healthy... You aren't eating anything that has protein, at all and what you're eating has very few vitamins/minerals, like B-12, calcium, etc. You need to add some type of meat, dairy, eggs, beans, legumes or something with protein and since vitamin B-12 only comes from animal products you either need to supplement or add some of those animal products to your diet.
Avatar n tn Eating a low carb diet is the best option. Eat lean protien sources like fish, chicken, beef. For essential fats eat salmon, olive oil, almonds. the only carbs should come from fruit and vegetables. Drink only water not juice.

Avatar f tn Also there are a lot of great healthy casserole recipes that require cooked chicken. I will put the chicken in the crockpot with my preferred seasonings before work, and by the time I get home, all I have to do is assemble the casserole and put it in the oven! That chicken also tastes good on a homemade salad if you start to feel too lazy for a casserole :) I hope th is helps!
Avatar n tn 72 mmol/l] As t2 diabetic you must make lifestyle changes by eating proper and healthy foods, maintain proper body weight, and exercise 30 minutes daily. Doing all three will help control and manage your glucose levels. Along with avoiding sugary foods a low to no carb diet plan is recommended for t2 diabetics. Carbs to t2 diabetics are the same as sugar - elevates our glucose [blood sugar] above and beyond acceptable levels.

172023 tn?1334672284 Lately I've been boring people by putting recipes in my Journal. I get a lot of feedback on it, so people seem to be interested. If we had a Healthy Cooking Forum, I could resume using my journal to record my controversial thoughts and opinions. Anyway, since this is a health oriented site, it would seem fitting to do this. Plus, you'll get a lot of hits with people searching the internet for recipes. Win/Win.
Avatar f tn I had gd with my last child (4yrs ago) and really really want to avoid it this time. Anyone have any healthy meal recipes and or excercise advice? Thanks!
Avatar f tn The way I won the battle was to eat in a way that does not make my blood sugar spike, and which would also keep my insulin secretion controlled as well. The eating plan us calked LCHF, which is low fat, moderate protein and high fat. And there are no gimmicks, pills, powders, bars, etc...just real food. Best part is that no calorie counting, eat until full. Also, it canceled my cravings and I no longer snack anymore.
Avatar f tn Yes you have to go to a dietician and calculate your BMI. After that based on your metabolic rate a diet chart can be made specifically for you. You have to follow this very strictly along with exercise/cardio/weights to lose the desired weight. Avoid fried food/desserts/sweets/choclates/junk food. Remember your output should be more than your input of calories. Take care!

Avatar f tn t buy the foods that send you into eating binges. Look up recipes that use healthy ingredients like fresh vegetables and lean meats. Avatar f tn I'd recommend to take every opportunity to walk (concerning exercise) or do YouTube exercise videos. Look up "blogilates" on YouTube - I love the woman who runs it, she's so encouraging and motivational. Her website offers cheap recipes too for healthy food. Motivation that often works for me is how great I feel after a work out or after making a good food choice. Doesn't always work in the moment, but it brings me back on track even after days of over eating. Good luck!
