Avatar f tn Have you heard of healthgrades or vitals? They give ratings on doctors. Another thing I'd do is ask your own doctor for who they recommend.
1074308 tn?1256830824 You can look in the phonebook under physicians, and then look for gastroenterology under that. You might go to healthgrades or vitals for more info about the doctor, like where they graduated, etc.. If you have any friends (or your parents), maybe they would be able to recommend one they like.
Avatar m tn Have you ever tried anything like vitals or healthgrades to find a doctor? I've had luck with that. What do you need to see a functional medicine doc for? What is going on with your health??
304970 tn?1331425994 Most of the time cysts aren't anything to be concerned about so perhaps they weren't. Sometimes I find gynecology to be highly frustrating because women sometimes intuitively know something is wrong but gynos aren't schooled in "intuition" or trusting the woman's feelings. I really like the site ratemds and healthgrades for finding physicians in your area (in the specific area of Gynecology) with ratings from other patients.
267369 tn?1247330981 I did contact alagirl yesterday, it sounds as if UAB is the hospital to go if one gets sick. There are quite a few physicians in this area and hopefully alagirl will be able to shead some light on the best one for me. Thank you all again.
10858973 tn?1416663532 so i asked for the physician names of the ones that would be doing sections on tuesday and looked up their healthgrades. One had 2 stars and the other had 3! My physician has 5! So needless to say. I will be welcoming my babygirl into this world on April 6th as originally planned!!!
Avatar f tn Many urogyns are leary of lawsuits related to mesh; as a woman who's had synthetic mesh utililized for repair of 2 of the 3 types of POP I had, I have been very happy with it. It comes down to technique; it is extremely important to have a surgeon well schooled in mesh technique and knows proper positioning, how to prep location, and what degree of tension necessary.
Avatar m tn It definitely sounds like you need to get to a doctor. Have you tried looking at vitals website or healthgrades website for info about doctors in the Dallas area?
Avatar n tn Hi! Google Doctor Referrals. I have used Healthgrades and Revolutionary Health with good results. If you need an ablation you probably need an EP doc. Electrophysiologist. He is a cardiologist who specializes in the electrical system of the heart. Good Luck! Keep us posted.
Avatar m tn //www.webmd.com/beauty/choosing_right_cosmetic_surgeon#1 What exactly are you looking to have done through the surgery? Age does change our face. I think that having surgery is viable but know that in say 10 years, it might look a bit different due to the aging process. The elasticity of our skin changes a bit and every person reacts differently to surgery. But older ladies and much older than 50 get facial plastic surgery all the time with success.
1754058 tn?1312312718 I can't begin to tell you how often I hear of women being "dismissed" when they tell their physicians of POP symptoms; it is frustrating beyond words and one of the paths I hope will shift is getting the medical community to recognize the need for screening in ALL women 6-12 months post-partum and ALL women in menopause. These are the 2 leading causes of POP and there is not screening in place. That needs to change.

Avatar f tn My daughter also presented with sinus tachycardia on her holter monitor but sometimes her heart rate and blood pressure were normal in the physicians office. One of the things they look at for diagnosing POTS is a 30+ increase in heart rate on the TTT. I think if there is blood pressure drops going on at the same time as the heart rate increasing that maybe one criteria to suggest it's not POTS but it doesn't rule out other autonomic issues going on.
547368 tn?1440541785 So sorry you're running into this problem. I'm not sure if private physicians here (in Massachusetts) can deny care based on the insurance. I suppose they can. On my worker's comp, my surgeon accepts my WC for my hand surgeries and the pain clinic as well, though I know it's at a much reduced rate.
Avatar n tn com or healthgrades website, to see what ratings patients give the doctor who performed the surgery on your relative. It will also show where they have worked, where they've attended medical school & other valuable information.
1468158 tn?1363026295 Sounds like a pinched Sciatic nerve and chiropractic is great for that. But, with pain that severe, you may want to go to the ER. First, they'll give you pain meds. Even if it's just a pinched nerve, being in that much pain causes the muscles to bunch & spasm which causes MORE pain. They will do X-Rays, possibly an MRI, and that's all good. If the hospital test come out negative, at least you'll know.
Avatar f tn contact info out, I usually pick either the healthgrades listing—which will have their office address and phone number as well as useful information such as which insurance they take, etc.—or the Google Maps listing (also has extensive information). http://www.healthgrades.com/directory_search/physician/profiles/dr-md-reports/dr-blair-grubb-md-4a6f177e http://maps.google.com/maps/place?cid=4917926594029655382&q=Dr.
