Avatar f tn As I've posted I am for a plan that would provide health care coverage for all Americans with a graduated premium. I would believe that if a person has their own health care insurance coverage that they should be allowed to opt out though. There are aspects of the current bill I am strongly for such as the Community Choice Act (which I have been a supporter for years on its own) and aspects I do not support.
572651 tn?1531002957 I encourage Americans to be skeptical of what their politicians claim about health care in Canada, particularly those politicians who are opposed to health care reform. They usually get it wrong. I have familly members who have had hip and knee replacements who did not wait nearly as long as those timeframes you mention, Kyle, though I appreciate some patients probably do.

Avatar f tn Now I'm not looking for kudos because eating fast food is generally bad any way you slice it, regardless if you eat one item or an entire meal. Keeping that in mind, I went to BK's website to find out the caloric value of the triple whopper itself, which has been a particular craving of mine lately. I was shocked to find that the burger is 1250 calories when you include the cheese and all the toppings it comes with. Add bacon, and we're talking maybe 1400 calories!
Avatar m tn Lead author Michelle Mello, JD, PhD, a professor of law and public health at the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, Massachusetts, and coauthors write that $55.6 billion is not a trivial amount, but "less than some imaginative estimates put forward in the health reform debate, and it represents a small fraction of total health care spending." The current U.S. health care regulations (Obamacare) restrict reimbursement, except for certain protocols. The FDA has also been unhelpful in approving drugs in the U.S. approved in Europe. Government bureaucrats are as much at fault, who write regulations concerning so-called "orphan drugs".

Avatar f tn I'm disappointed that just as our troops are returning home after a decade of war, Romney and Ryan might gut by up to 20 percent investments in the Department of Veterans Affairs -- and even suggest privatizing the veterans' health care. Again, they would short change our national security and the education, health care and employment benefits our veterans have earned and deserve just to cut taxes for the wealthiest Americans.

Avatar f tn I do have a meditation CD that was made up for me by my mental health therapist some years ago. I have kept it all these years and it puts my in a deep, relaxed state within minutes of hearing the music and the sounds of nature, that he put in the CD. It's awesome. I have found that any music CD that you really find enjoyable, will relax you just as quickly as something you have to purchase just for meditation. Sometimes people buy "Buddhist Monk Chants," on a CD.

Many of the health savings track closely with the changes to Medicare first proposed in Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan’s budgets. Republicans say the plan, using the Obama administration’s math, would achieve $4.
